Stocks are falling again on Wall Street as AI mania loses more steam and as more companies pull their forecasts because of uncertaintly created by President Donald Trump's trade war.
The S&P 500 fell in the first hour of trading Tuesday.
The Dow Jones industrial Average lost 229 points, about 0.6%, as that composite sank 1%, two big AI companies related led declines: chip companies Nvidia and Palantir technologies.
Mattel said it was withdrawing its forecasts as it becomes more difficult to predict how many shoppers will spend over the rest of a year.
Ford also pulled its forecast.
