I know they are not a junk team, but we only had like one corner. Shots on goal was also lopsided. I could understand a loss, but we were outplayed even if it had ended in a draw.

I've respected Korea since the last WC. They may not be as skilled as many other teams, but they play hard, disciplined and with heart. I thought they clearly outplayed the U.S. in their game in the WC, but were unfortunate to come out with a tie. At that point, I knew that with their attitude it would only be a matter of time before they learn those skills and become a formidable team. Haven't seen too much of them for the last couple of years, but it looks like they are well on their way.

지난 월드컵이후로 난 항상 한국팀을 인정해 왔어. 다른팀들처럼 개인기가 좋지는 않을지 몰라도, 한국팀은 진짜 열심히 성실하게 뛰어. 지난 월드컵때도 한국은 미국팀을 압도했지만 불행히 무승부에 만족했어야했지. 그 때, 난 한국팀이 개인기량을 키우는게 시간문제고, 그렇게 되면 정말 무시무시한 팀이 될거라는 걸 깨닳았어. 지난 몇년간 한국 국대시합을 본적은 거의 없지만, 그들이 갈 길을 잘 가는 거 같아 보인다.

Korea was much better...they did deserve to win. But most of their shots weren't close to making it in the back of the net. Korean strikers need better finishing.

Just got back from the game.

My perception is that S. Korea dominated the first half, followed by a fairly split 2nd. I was amazed at the precision with which the Koreans handled the ball. All of their passes were dead-on, and they knew how to fool Maza and Huiqui; Salcido, they had trouble with. Mexico had a few good opportunities (shame that the header didn't go in, props to the goalkeeper), but not much else.

Anyway, it was a good atmosphere. I was quite happy to see the South Korea fans were really cool people (except for those two old guys who thought gvfatlas and I were in their seats; this guy literally grabs my shoulder and moves me aside to see the seat number, like I'm some kind of object, and then looks at us and says, "We're taking your seats." I grab this guy's ticket and he says "Row 19, Seat 15; this my seat." I say, "Section 5; this is Section 4." He apologized and left. Gvfatlas commented that this is the 2nd time in as many games we've gone to that someone thinks we're in their seats!). Anyway, they were cheerful and very well-mannered.

Our people were good, too; boisterous as we are, we maintained most of our composure.

내가 보기엔 전반전은 한국이 완전히 압도했고, 후반엔 비슷비슷 한것 같았어. 한국선수들이 공 다루는데 정확해서 놀랐다. 패스도 완벽했고.. 마사와 위키 (멕시코 선수들)을 갖고 놀던데.. 살시도 (멕시코 선수) 한테는 좀 애먹는것 같았어. 멕시코는 몇번 찬스가 있었지만 딴건 별거 없었어 (그 해딩이 정말 아쉬웠다. 한국 골키퍼가 잘 막았지)

아무튼 분위기 좋았어. 한국팬들이 정말 멋진 사람들 같아서 기분 좋았다. (물론 왠 한국 아저씨들 두명이 나하고 내 친구가 앉아있는 좌석에 와서 내 어깨를 붙잡고 나를 밀치면서 좌석번호를 보게하긴 했지만.. 내가 자기 자리에 앉았다고 생각했나봐.. 뭐 내가 제대로 설명해주니까 미안하다고 사과하고 가긴했지만..) 아무튼.. 한국팬들은 기운찼고, 예의발랐어.

그놈의 골결정력 하루이틀된 문제도 아니고 단기간 뚜렷한 향상을 바랄수 없다면 현재처럼 미들 완전 장악후 최대한 많이 찬스를 만들어주고 셋피스 상황을 좀더 중점적으로 연습해서 다양한 득점을 이끌어낼 수 있도록 해야할거같네요.
