Chapter 3 : Bul - mang(不忘,불망)... Always Remembering... Item 22.

[Guide(길잡이)]

 To achieve "Always Remembering" (Bul - mang),

  which is the third foundation of Sincerity (Seong),

  there are six concrete methods of practice as follows :

    ● Item 19 : Ja - im (自任,자임) ..... Naturally Bestowed/ Spontaneous Duty..... Item 23.

    ● Item 20 : Ja - gi (自己,자기)..... Naturally Writing / Spontaneous Recording..... Item 24.

    ● Item 21 : Cheop - eung (貼膺,첩응)..... Embracing in One′s Heart / Holding Close to the Chest

    ● Item 22 : Jae - mok (在目,재목)..... Eyes Filled with Sincerity / Keeping in Sight..... Item 26.  

    ● Item 23 : Noe - heo (雷虛,뇌허)..... An Empty Thunderous Sound / Hollow Eco - chamber.....Item 27.  

    ● Item 24 : Sin - chwi (神聚,신취)..... The Gathering of Spirits / Convergence of the Mind..... Item 28.

        ● 用(용) : In this philosophical context, it means "application" or "practical method of   

                        implementation."

        ● Noe - heo (雷虛,뇌허) : Refers to a state of guarding against meaningless or hollow words 

                                                 that sound grand like thunder but have no truesincerity behind them.
