BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Black Star Communications) February 17, 2011 — R&B legend GUY has announced that the group will be taking part in two television specials this month honoring Black History.
“Way Black When,” a month long celebration of Black pop culture from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, will feature a performance by Guy on Thursday, February 17 on TV One at 10 p.m ET.
Meanwhile, BET will feature a tribute by Guy to entertainment honoree Jamie Foxx at the 4th Annual BET Honors, which will be televised Monday, February. 21 at 9 p.m.
“Guy brought the audience to its feet with New-Jack-Swing-era hits ‘Let’s Chill’ and ‘Groove Me,”’ The Washington Post raved of the group’s performance at BET Honors.
Guy has been captivating audiences for more than 25 years. Singer and songwriter Aaron Hall, who MTV dubbed one of the strongest vocalists of the past two decades, and Damion “Crazy Legs” Hall, bring a unique style and memorable sound to a string of hits. Their musical genius on hits such as “I Like,” and “Groove Me” helped redefine the musical landscape of the era and are crowd favorites. They have also produced collaborated and written songs for the likes of Bobby Brown and Heavy D.
