† " How to restore our lives " †
Now a days, all around the world people are so disturbed and panic because of Covid – 19. Lives are shaken, businesses are fall down. Price inflation, Dollar & fuel rate is going high. Spiritually, physically and materially in all fields lives are so un-stable. Today, I want let you know how to restore our panic & disturbed lives. If you want to stable or restore your lives. Please listen carefully & not only listen apply today’s message in your lives. Today, in the scripture we can see the life of powerful commander Naaman. He did lots of great things but because of disease called Leprosy, His happy life was scatter. Sorrows covered him from all sides. But his life was restored. Not because he sat down & wait for his good luck. But he made his luck by himself. He moved. Friends, lets’ see how Naaman restored his disturbed & shaken life to restore our lives too.
1. Make well wishers around us.
The first thing what we’ve to do to stable or restore our life is, we’ve to make well wishers around us. I have many friends, that’s not enough. We need good friends who are always there to be with us in our need. We don’t have verbal well wishers but the well wishers who pray for us in our absence, who appreciate us in our absence. I know many friends, who are very good in back-biting or in judging others.
Matthew 7 : 1 ~~~~~~~~ Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
Here, we can see there were well wishers around Naaman. Who want that Naaman should be healed, Naaman suppose to be restore his life. There were many well wishers around Naaman.
⓵ A slave girl. (Well wisher)
At first we can see there was a young slave girl. Naaman defeated the Israel and brought many slaves from Israel. She was one of them. When she learned that her master Naaman having a Leprosy. She informed her mistress that there is a prophet in Israel who can heal Naaman. The question is why, she became well wisher. She was slave, it’s because even though she was slave. She never treated like slave.
2nd. King 5 : 2 ~ 3
Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel,
and she served Naaman’s wife. - She said to her mistress, “If only my master would
see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”
We can’t found her name. Her master Naaman and her mistress were very good to her. Naaman made her well wisher for him. Naaman who lost the hope of life. This Little girl intoduce porophet Elisha to Naaman.
⓶ King Aram. (Well wisher)
Naaman went to the king of Aram and told him whole story that little slave girl told that there is prophet in Israel who can heal disease Leprosy. King Aram the well wisher Naaman never made any argument. King also want that his commander restore his life. Then & there king gave a letter for the king of Israel.
2nd. Kings 5 : 4 ~ 5
Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. - “By all means, go,”
the king of Aram replied. “I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman left, taking
with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten sets of clothing.
King Aram wrote a special letter & gave to Naaman for the king of Israel that he help him to reach Elisha.
⓷ Naaman’s servants. (Well wishers)
Prophet never welcome him nor met him but commanded go & wash yourself seven time in river Jordan.
2nd. Kings 5 : 9 ~ 10 -- So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. - Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the
Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”
Wow! commander Naaman became so upset & angry at prophet Elisha. That he suppose to welcome him & prayed for him but prophet Elisha instead of coming just sent a command, Go & wash 7 time. It’s so strange.
Here we can see the well wisher servants. They encouraged Naaman. If prophet ask you to do something hard & difficult, then you have to do. Prophet is saying very easy thing. So let’s do. Try it, may be you heal!
2nd. kings 5 : 13
Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!”
Friends, it happen sometimes in our lives. We’re very close to miracle. But refuse to obey. We need good friends, good faithful, sincer, and prayerful people around us. We have to make well wishers around us.
2. Listen and accept advise.
2nd.thing what we’ve to do to restore our lives is listen and accept advise as commander Naaman did. Naamand listened very carefully the information of a little slave girl. He never rebuked or scolded little girl. But he appreciate her and reached to king Aram. God talk to us, God want to restore us by different ways.
Naaman left Aram with this faith he is going to be healed through Elisha. Naaman never went empty hands.
2nd. Kings 5 : 5
So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten sets of clothing.
Exodus 23 : 15 (Last portion) --- No one is to appear before Me empty-handed.
When prophet Elisha sent a messanger go and wash 7 time in River Jordan. At 1st. Naaman denied. But when Naaman obeyed until end. A great miracle happened. In-cure-able disease disappeared. Naaman was healed.
2nd. Kings 5 : 10 & 14
Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”~~~ So he went down & dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as
the man of God had told him, & his flesh was restored & became clean like that of a young boy.
Messenger told to wash 7 times but Naaman dipped himself 7 time & his flesh became like young boy. Naaman listened & obeyed. Scattered life restored. Let’s listen and obey to have restoration of life. ~ Amen.
3. Naaman discovered the living God of Israel.
After having a wonderful experience in the life of Naaman. Naaman was totally changed. Naaman discovered the living God of Israel and he promised with prophet Elisha that he never bow down before any idol. He will worship and praise only living God. Friends, let’s throw away all fake gods and praise only living God.
2nd. Kings 5 : 15 (Last Portion)
“Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.”
2nd. Kings 5 : 17 (Last portion)
your servant will never again make burnt offerings and sacrifices to any other god but the Lord.
Friends, the God of Abraham, the Isaac and the God Jacob is our God too. All the glory & praise to Him.
Matthew 22 : 37
Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
Exodus 22 : 3 ~~~ You shall have no other gods before a Me.
Lesson for us :-
We can learn a wonderful lesson through Naaman. We’ve to make well wisher around us as much as we can. How? First, we’ve to be the well wisher for others. We’ve to pray for others then we can have others pray. Naaman was having many well wishers around him. ⓵ Salve girl ⓶ King Aram ⓷ Servant who work under him. We’ve to be a optimist not pessimist. Then the friends, who are around us become optimist. Always be positive. We’ve to listen the Word of God & obey it to see miracles in our lives. To restore scatter lives.
Isaiah 43 : 1 ~ 2 -- But now, this is what the Lord says He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. - When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; & when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
2nd. Kings 5 : 1 ~ 15
Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy. - Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. 3She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.” - Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. - “By all means, go,” the king of Aram replied. “I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents b of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten sets of clothing. - The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: “With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.” - As soon as the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his robes and said, “Am I God? Can I kill and bring back to life? Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy? See how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me!” - When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: “Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.” - So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. - Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.” - But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. - Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage. - - Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” - So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy. - Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God. He stood before him and said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.”
