• Job Title: Daycare Cook
• Location: Pooh Corner Daycare
• Job Type: Part-Time (September, possibly extending to October)
• Hours: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Salary: $20/hour (including a paid 30-minute break, total of 6.5 hours per day)
Job Description:
• Pooh corner Daycare is looking for a passionate, organized, and friendly Cook to join our team. As a Daycare Cook, you will
be responsible for preparing balanced, child-friendly meals that meet the dietary needs and nutritional requirements for the
children in our care. You will follow a set menu that will be provided to you.
• Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for children
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen and floors to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Perform light laundry tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cooking or food preparation
- Food Safe Certificate
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Background check and health screening required (may include TB test, food handler’s permit, etc.)
