천성경 (증) - 389. 교회장의 정성생활

1 여러분은 식구가 왔다 가면, 왔다 간 그 사람을 생각하며 밤새워 기도하고 호롱불을 켜 놓고 내일 말씀해 줄 것을 준비하면서, 아침 해가 떠오를 때까지 그 사람이 오기를 얼마나 기다려 봤습니까? 그렇게 기다려 보십시오. 그 사람이 오게 돼 있습니다. 틀림없이 옵니다. 그것은 실현이 가능합니다. 그러면 ‘야, 정성이 이런 것이구나! 정성이 지극하면 하나님을 움직일 수 있구나!’라는 것을 실감하는 것입니다. ‘누가 와야 된다.’라고 생각하고, 정신통일을 해서 3시간만 기도하면 그 사람이 싱숭생숭해 자기도 모르게 마음이 움직이게 됩니다. ‘교회에 가 보자.’라고 마음이 시키는 것입니다. 그런 것이 가능하다는 것입니다.

2 정성을 들일 때에는 여러 사람을 놓고 들이는 것보다 한 사람 한 사람을 놓고 정성 들이는 것이 좋습니다. 여러 사람을 놓고 정성 들이는 것과 한 사람 한 사람을 놓고 정성 들이는 것은 판연히 다릅니다. 동서남북이 다르다는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 주체가 있으면 하나의 대상을 결정지어 그 대상을 중심삼고 금을 그어야 합니다. 그래야 사방이 그려지는 것입니다. 그 사방이 그려질 때까지는 대상과 절대적인 관계를 가져야 됩니다. 그래야 둥근 원이 그려집니다.

하늘이 기억하는 지도자
3 인간이 이 땅 위에 살면서 하나님을 섬기기 위해서는 반드시 성인의 도리를 기반으로 한 종교를 통해야 됩니다. 그리고 지금까지 과거의 수많은 종교지도자들이 간 길을 자기도 응당 가야 할 길로 알고 그 길을 소망하며 가겠다고 다짐하는 사람이 되어야 합니다. 그리하여 종교를 중심삼고 왔다 갔던 수많은 종교지도자들과 하나되면 그 도의 세계, 종교의 세계에 자연적으로 자리가 잡히는 것입니다. 그런 기반 위에서 기도하게 되면, 그것은 하나의 종교권을 넘어설 수 있는 입장에 서게 되기 때문에 그만큼 하나님과의 거리를 단축시킬 수 있습니다. 그래서 지상에서 종교의 길을 찾아 나가는 사람은 정성을 들여야 됩니다. 인간 중에는 정성을 들이고 종교의 길을 찾아가야 하는 사람도 있지만, 선한 선조들을 많이 가지고 있어서 그들이 바라던 것을 향하여 그냥 곧바로 나가는 사람도 있습니다. 그러면 그들이 바라던 것은 무엇이냐? 그들이 추구하는 것은 종교가 추구하는 목적의 세계입니다.

4 종교의 목적은 하나의 참된 사람을 찾는 것이요, 참된 가정과 참된 국가와 참된 세계를 찾는 것입니다. 이것은 종교의 목적이자 하나님의 목적입니다. 그것이 곧 하나님이 땅을 대하여 섭리하는 목적입니다. 그러므로 우리가 종교지도자들이 정성 들인 그 터전 위에 서게 되면 하나님의 목적권 내를 자연적으로 접할 수 있는 경지까지 가게 됩니다. 그렇기에 어떤 특정한 종교를 믿는 사람이 있다 할 때, 그 사람은 그 종교의 최고지도자만을 믿는 것이 아닙니다. 그 종교를 따라간 사람들과 그 종교를 위해서 사방에서 정성 들이고 있는 지도자들을 믿게 되는 것입니다. 그뿐만 아니라 그 종교가 세계적인 기반을 가지고 있으면 세계의 수많은 지도자들까지 믿고 따라가려고 하는 것입니다. 그것은 영계와 종교권의 거리를 단축시키기 위해서입니다.

5 끝날에는 은혜 받은 사람을 한 사람만 통하지 말고 반드시 여러 사람들을 비교해 보아서 통해야 됩니다. 높은 내용을 가진 영적 지도자를 만나서 스스로 그 단계를 높여 가는 지혜로운 방법을 써야 한다는 것입니다. 그런데 오늘날 땅 위에 살고 있는 신앙자들은 이런 것을 모르고 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 신앙자는 종합적인 관측, 종합적인 비교, 종합적인 분석을 하여 나 자신이 제일 빠른 길을 찾아 나가야 합니다. 그러기에 어떠한 새로운 길을 갈 때는 반드시 그냥 가서는 안 되는 것입니다.

6 언제나 은혜를 받겠다고만 해서는 안 됩니다. 남이 파 놓은 우물에서 물을 길어다 먹을 것이 아니라, 그 우물의 수맥을 따라가서 새로운 생수 줄기를 찾기 위해 노력을 해야 됩니다. 이와 마찬가지로 자기를 지도하며 은혜를 주던 지도자가 한계점에 도달했다고 생각될 때에는, 그 지도자가 한창 은혜 받을 때 정성 들이던 그 이상의 정성을 들여야만 그 길을 넘어설 수 있습니다. 그런데 오늘날 신앙자들은 이것을 모르고 있습니다.

7 천국이란 어떠한 곳이고 그 구조는 어떻게 된 것인가? 간단합니다. 한마디로 결론을 내리면 그 세계는 위해서 존재했던 사람이 가는 곳입니다. 자기를 위해서 산 사람이 가는 곳이 아닙니다. 하나님과 인류를 위해서 살고 간 사람만이 가는 곳입니다. 여기에 아무리 잘 믿는 교회의 지도자나 신자가 있다 하더라도, 아무리 정성을 다한 사람이 있다고 하더라도 그 정성이 하나님과 인류를 위한 정성이 아닌 한, 그것을 자기에게 귀결시키는 사람은 결국 천국에 들어가지 못합니다. 그러나 자기를 위해 살지 않고 본향의 도리의 뜻을 따라, 위하여 존재하는 원칙을 본받아 철이 들면서부터 남을 위해서, 하나님을 위해서 생활을 하고, 자기를 위해서 죽을 길을 가는 것이 아니라 하나님과 인류를 위해 죽음길을 가는 사람은 틀림없이 천국에 가게 됩니다.

8 교회장이든 교역장이든 사람을 볼 줄 알아야 됩니다. 심령을 검토해서 어떤 상태에 있는지를 알아야 합니다. 그래서 제일 힘든 일이 영적 지도자의 일입니다. 그러므로 기도해야 됩니다. 건너편 산에 무엇이 있느냐 하는 것이 기도하면 떠올라야 됩니다. 그러니 정성을 들이지 않으면 안 됩니다. 식구들의 심령상태가 어떤가를 교회장이 먼저 다 알아야 됩니다. 정성 들인 사람은 어떤 일이 일어났는지를 미리 다 압니다.

9 옛날에 선생님은 교회에서 인도할 때 4백 명이 모여들었습니다. 사람들의 이름을 쭉 불러 나가는 것입니다. 그러면 대번에 알 수 있습니다. 그때 심령이 좋은 사람은 수평선 이상에 서고, 낮은 사람은 이렇게 비스듬하게 서고, 제일 나쁜 사람은 거꾸로 서 있습니다. 그러한 영적인 체험을 통해서도 하늘과 음률이 맞아야 합니다. 공명해야 됩니다. 거문고의 줄을 타면 음률이 맞아야 되는 것과 같이 하늘과 공명해야 됩니다. 줄이 조금만 늦추어지더라도 안 맞습니다. 그러면 화음이 안 됩니다. 그래서 잘 맞춘 공명의 소리가 필요합니다.

10 하늘 앞에 정성을 들이는 사람은 함부로 대할 수 없습니다. 지방에서 어떤 식구가 사과 하나를 선생님께 가져왔더라도 선생님은 함부로 손대지 않습니다. 정성 들인 것을 잘못 건드리게 되면 용서받지 못합니다. 하나님의 일편단심의 심정과 하나님의 최고의 노력을 무시하게 되면 천륜 앞에 용납될 수 없는 죄인이 된다는 것입니다. 남이 정성 들인 물건을 함부로 대해서는 안 됩니다. 99만큼의 정성을 들인 물건이라면 100만큼의 정성을 들여야 대할 자격이 있는 것입니다. 예를 들어 어떤 집단의 책임자가 정성 들인 것을 받아서 하늘 앞에 연결시키지 못하게 되면 정성 들인 사람이 많으면 많을수록 빨리 망합니다. 그렇기 때문에 신령한 집단들이 자기 당대에는 영화로울지 모르나 천도를 넘어서는 일이 많아 곧 망하는 것입니다.

11 자기를 위해 기도해 주고 정성 들여 주는 사람이 많이 있으면 많이 있을수록 그 사람은 복된 사람이 아닐 수 없습니다. 나 한 사람을 위하여 정성 들이는 사람을 많이 갖기 위해서는 먼저 내가 가진 모든 복을 많은 사람 앞에 넘겨주어야 합니다. 그러기 전에는 많은 사람들이 나에게 복 받으라고 축수하지 않는다는 것입니다. 한 사람을 위하여 열 사람이 정성 들이면 그 한 사람은 하나님이 기억하지 않을 수 없습니다. 그렇게 정성을 들이는 환경을 수습하여 ‘서로가 서로를 새로운 단계로 자극시킬 수 있는 환경의 터를 넓히자.’라고 해서 하나의 단체를 구성한 것이 교회입니다.

12 교회 책임자는 자기를 위하여 정성 들여서는 안 됩니다. 수많은 무리를 위하여 정성을 들여야 됩니다. 그 수많은 무리가 가야 할 곳은 자기 가정뿐만 아니라 그 나라와 세계까지입니다. 그렇기 때문에 교역자의 시선이 자기 가정과 자기 교회 교인들에게만 머물러서는 안 됩니다. 그 교인을 통하여 나라와 세계로 향하는 마음을 가지고 하나님을 향해 ‘제가 들인 정성과 교인들이 들인 정성을 합하여 세계로 나아갈 수 있는 길을 닦아 주시옵소서.’라고 해야 됩니다. 이렇게 교역자와 교인이 하나되어 주고받으면 거기에는 반드시 하나님이 임재하시는 것입니다. 하나되어 하나님이 임재하시는 때는 자기 교회의 부흥을 위해서가 아니라 나라의 부흥을 위해서 하나될 때입니다.

天聖経 (增) - 389. 教会長の精誠生活

1　皆さんは、食口が訪ねてきて帰れば、その人を思いながら夜を徹して祈り、灯油ランプの灯をつけて、あした話してあげる内容を準備しながら、朝日が昇っ てくるまでその人が来るのをどれほど待ってみましたか。そのように待ってみてください。その人が来るようになっています。間違いなく来るのです。それは実 現可能です。そうすれば、「いやあ、精誠とはこういうものなのだなあ！精誠が極まれば、神様を動かせるのだなあ！」ということを実感するのです。「誰々が 来なければならない」と思い、精神統一をして三時間だけ祈れば、その人はそわそわし、我知らずに心が動くのです。「教会に行ってみよう」と、心が命ずるの です。そのようなことが可能だというのです。

2　精誠を捧げるときは、多くの人を挙げて捧げるより、一人一人を挙げながら精誠を捧げるのが良いのです。多くの人に対して精誠を捧げるのと、一人一人に 対して精誠を捧げるのでは、はっきりとした違いがあります。東西南北が違うというのです。そのため、主体がいれば一つの対象を決定し、その対象を中心とし て線を引かなければなりません。そうしてこそ四方が描かれるのです。その四方が描かれるときまでは、対象と絶対的な関係をもたなければなりません。それで こそ丸い円が描けるのです。

天が記憶する指導者
3　人間がこの地上で暮らしながら神様に仕えるためには、必ず聖人の道理を基盤とした宗教を通さなければなりません。そして、今まで過去の数多くの宗教指 導者が歩んだ道を、自分も当然行くべき道と思い、その道を願いながら歩もうと決意する人にならなければなりません。そうして、宗教を中心として、生まれて は逝った数多くの宗教指導者と一つになれば、その宗教の世界に自然と位置が定まるのです。そのような基盤の上で祈れば、それは一つの宗教圏を越えられる立 場に立つので、それだけ神様との距離を短縮させられるのです。
ですから、地上で宗教の道を探し求めていく人は、精誠を捧げなければなりません。人間の中には、精誠を尽くして宗教の道を訪ねていかなければならない人も いますが、善の先祖を多くもっていて、彼らが願ったものに向かってそのまままっすぐに行く人もいます。それでは、彼らが願ったものとは何でしょうか。彼ら が追求するのは、宗教が追求する目的の世界なのです。

4　宗教の目的は、一人の真の人間を探すことであり、真の家庭と真の国家と真の世界を探すことです。これは宗教の目的であると同時に、神様の目的です。そ れがすなわち、神様が地に対して摂理する目的です。ですから、私たちが宗教指導者の精誠を尽くしたその土台の上に立てば、神様の目的圏内に自然と接するこ とができる境地まで行くのです。
そのため、ある特定の宗教を信じる人がいるというとき、その人は、その宗教の最高指導者だけを信じるのではありません。その宗教に従った人々と、その宗教 のために四方から精誠を捧げている指導者を信じるようになるのです。それだけでなく、その宗教が世界的な基盤をもっていれば、世界の数多くの指導者たちま で信じ、従っていこうとするのです。それは、霊界と宗教圏の距離を短縮させるためなのです。

5　終わりの日には、恵みを受けた一人の人だけを通じるのではなく、必ず何人かを比較してみて通じなければなりません。高い内容をもった霊的指導者に会 い、自らその段階を高めていく知恵深い方法を取らなければならないというのです。しかし、今日、地上に生きている信仰者たちは、このようなことを知らずに います。そのため、信仰者は、総合的な観測、総合的な比較、総合的な分析をして、自分自身が最も早こを探していかなければなりません。ですから、ある新 しこを行くときは、決してそのまま行ってはいけないのです。

6　いつも恩恵を受けようとしてはいけません。他の人が掘っておいた井戸から水をくんで飲むのではなく、その井戸の水脈に沿って新しい水の流れを探すため に努力しなければなりません。これと同じように、自分を指導し、恩恵を与えてくれた指導者が限界点に到達したと思われるときは、その指導者が最も恵みを受 けていたときに捧げたそれ以上の精誠を捧げてこそ、その道を越えることができるのです。しかし、今日、信仰者たちはこれを知らずにいます。

7　天国とはどのような所であり、その構造はどのようになっているのでしょうか。簡単です。一言で結論を下せば、その世界はために生きた人が行く所です。 自分のために生きた人が行く所ではありません。神様と人類のために生きて死んだ人だけが行く所です。
ここに、いくらよく信じる教会の指導者や信徒がいるとしても、いくら精誠を捧げた人がいるとしても、その精誠が神様と人類のための精誠でない限り、それを 自分に帰結させる人は、結局、天国に入れないのです。しかし、自分のために生きるのではなく、本郷の道理のみ旨に従ってために生きる原則を手本とし、物心 がつくときから他の人のために、神様のために生活し、自分のために死の道を行くのではなく、神様と人類のために死の道を行く人は、間違いなく天国に行くの です。

8　教会長であろうと、教域長であろうと、人を見ることができなければなりません。心霊を検討し、どのような状態にあるのかを知らなければなりません。で すから、最も大変な仕事が霊的指導者の仕事です。ですから、祈らなければなりません。向こう側の山に何があるかということが、祈れば浮かんでこなければな りません。ですから、精誠を捧げなければならないのです。食口の心霊状態がどうなのか、教会長が先にすべて分からなければなりません。精誠を捧げた人は、 どのようなことが起こったのか、あらかじめすべて分かるのです。

9　昔、先生が教会を指導するとき、四百人が集まりました。人々の名前をずっと呼んでいくのです。そうすれば、すぐに分かります。そのとき、心霊の良い人 は水平線の上に立ち、低い人は斜めに立ち、一番悪い人は逆さまに立っているのです。そのような霊的な体験を適してでも、天と音律が合わなければなりませ ん。共鳴しなければなりません。コムンゴ(朝鮮の伝統弦楽器)の弦を弾けば、音律が合わなければならないのと同じように、天と共鳴しなければなりません。 弦が少しだけ緩んでも、合わないのです。それでは和音になりません。ですから、よく合わせた共鳴の音が必要なのです。

10　天のみ前に精誠を捧げる人は、いい加減に扱うことができません。地方で、ある食口がりんごを一つ先生のところに持ってきたとしても、先生はむやみに 手を出しません。精誠を込めた物に誤って手を出せば、赦しを受けられないのです。神様の一片丹心の心情と神様の最高の努力を無視すれば、天倫の前に容認さ れない罪人になるというのです。
 他の人が精誠を込めた物をいい加減に扱ってはいけません。九十九ほどの精誠を込めた物であれば、百ほどの精誠を込めてこそ、それを扱う資格があるのです。 例えば、ある集団の責任者が、精誠を込めた物を受け取り、天のみ前に連結させられなければ、その精誠を込めた人が多ければ多いほど早く滅びます。ですか ら、神霊的な集団は、自らの当代には栄華を極めるかもしれませんが、天道に外れることが多く、すぐに滅びるのです。

11　自分のために祈り、精誠を尽くしてくれる人が多ければ多いほど、その人は福を受けた人に違いありません。「私」一人のために精誠を尽くす人をたくさ んもつためには、まず自分がもっているすべての福を多くの人に譲り渡してあげなければなりません。そのようにするまでは、多くの人が私に対して「福を受け なさい」と祈ることはないというのです。一人のために十人が精誠を尽くせば、その一人は神様が記憶せざるを得ません。そのように精誠を尽くす環境を収拾 し、「お互いがお互いを新しい段階へと刺激することができる環境の基台を広げよう」と言って、一つの団体を構成したのが教会です。

12　教会の責任者は、自分のために精誠を捧げてはいけません。数多くの群れのために精誠を捧げなければなりません。その数多くの群れが行くべき所は、自 分の家庭だけでなく、その国と世界までです。そのため、教会長の視線が自分の家庭と自分の教会の教会員にのみ、とどまっていてはいけません。その教会員を 通して国と世界に向かう心をもち、神様に向かって、「私が捧げた精誠と教会員が捧げた精誠を合わせ、世界に進むことのできる道を築いてください」と言わな ければなりません。このように教会長と教会員が一つになって授け受けすれば、そこには必ず神様が臨在されるのです。一つになって神様が臨在なさるときは、 自分の教会の復興のためではなく、国の復興のために一つになるときです。

Cheon Seong Gyeong Ⅱ - 389. A Church Leader's Devotional Life

1 Have you ever prayed for a church member after he or she has visited you? Have you ever thought of that person throughout the night and prepared under the light of a kerosene lamp the words you would like to share the following day? Have you waited for sun-rise, longing for that persons return? If you wait like that, that person will surely come. When that happens you will realize, "Wow! This is the true meaning of devotion. If I offer sincere devotion, I can move God!" If you desperately want someone to come and you pray for that person for three hours with total unity of mind and body, he or she will start to feel restless. A desire to come to the church will stir in that person’s heart. That kind of thing is possible.( 075-179,19750102)

2 When you offer devotions for your members, rather than praying for many people at a time it is better to pray for each person individually. The difference in results between praying for many people and praying for one person at a time is very clear, like the difference between east and west or north and south. As a subject partner, pick one object partner and draw a line to that person. Then you should be able to determine all four directions. Focus absolutely on the relationship with that person until all four directions are secured. Only then can a sphere be formed.( 042-166,19710304)

A leader whom Heaven remembers
3 If people are to serve God while living on earth, they need to travel the way of the saints who laid the foundation for religions. We should realize that, as a matter of course, we too have to go the way that the many religious leaders of the past have gone. We have to want to travel this road and be determined to do it. If you unite with all the past religious leaders, you will naturally find your place in the world of the Principle, the world of religion. Having made that foundation, when you pray you will rise to a position that transcends the sphere of religion, and you will shorten the distance between yourself and God. That is why, even though you walk a religious path on earth, you still need to offer devotion. Some people need to offer much devotion, while others, thanks to their good ancestors, can simply go straight along the path that their ancestors hoped for. What did their ancestors hope for? They sought the same world and purpose that religions have been seeking.( 032-160,19700712)

4 The goal of religion is to find one true man, one true family, one true nation, and one true world. This is the purpose of religion, and it is also the purpose of God. It is the purpose of the providence God has been conducting in this world. If we stand on the foundation of the devotion of past religious leaders, we can connect with God's purpose. The people of any particular religion do not follow only that religion's founder, but also the many believers of that religion and the leaders of all nations that identify with that religion. If that religion has a worldwide foundation, many global leaders will want to follow it too. Thus the distance between religious people and the spirit world can be reduced.( 032-161,19700712)

5 In the Last Days it is not enough to learn from only one person who received grace; you should compare the teachings with those of many others who also received grace. You need to be wise about finding the best methods to elevate your spirituality on your own by meeting spiritual leaders with higher truth. However, many people of faith today do not know this. They need a comprehensive outlook; they need to effectively compare and analyze to find the fastest way for themselves. So when you travel a new path, do not just go along with it.( 032-167,19700712)

6 Do not always seek to receive grace. Do not always try to drink water from a well dug by someone else. Follow the stream until you find a new spring of pure water. By the same token, when you conclude that the leader who has been inspiring you has reached his or her limit, you should offer greater devotion than that person did at the peak of inspiration. Then you will surpass that person. People of faith today do not know this.( 032-167,19700712)

7 What kind of place is heaven? The answer is simple. Briefly, it is the world where people who lived for others go. People who lived for themselves cannot enter heaven. Only those who lived for God and the world can go to that place. Whether you are a church leader or a member, no matter how faithful you have been and no matter how much devotion you have offered, if it was all for yourself, you will be unable to enter the kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, if you lived according to the original way of the Will and followed the principle of living for the sake of others, you will surely go to the kingdom of heaven. That is, from the time you reached the age of maturity, if you lived for the sake of others and for God, and if you went the way of death for God and humanity, you will indeed go to the kingdom of heaven.( 077-109,19750401)

8 Whether you are a local church leader or district leader, you have to know how to read people. You should be able to glimpse their spirituality and tell what level they are at. The tasks that a spiritual leader needs to perform are very difficult. That is why you must pray. When you pray about what is on the other side of the mountain, images of what is there should appear in your mind. But to reach that level, you need to offer devotion. A church leader has to know the spiritual state of his or her members even before they do. A person who seriously offers devotion is able to know what has happened to them.( 237-050,19921110)

9 Long ago, when I was leading a church with a gathering of about four hundred people, I called out the church members' names one by one. I knew their spiritual level right away. I saw those with a high spirit standing upright above the horizon; those with a lower spirit stood slanted and those whose spiritual level was lower stood upside down. In order to have this kind of spiritual experience you need to be in tune with God. You need to resonate with Him. When you play the geo-mun-go, a Korean lute, if one of its strings is even the slightest bit loose, the instrument will be out of tune and its sound will be discordant. We must create resonating harmony.( 237-050,19921110)

10 Never mistreat a person who offers devotion to Heaven. When a family member from the countryside brings me even one apple, I do not eat it casually. Treating an object offered with devotion in the wrong way cannot be forgiven. Ignoring a single-minded heart of devotion is an inexcusable sin against heavenly law. Do not treat things that contain someone's devotion carelessly. If something contains 99 degrees of devotion, you have to offer 100 degrees of devotion before you are qualified to touch it. Suppose the leader of a certain group accepts things offered with much devotion but does not connect them to Heaven. Then the more the members of that group offer devotional conditions, the more quickly the leader and the group will decline. That is why some spiritual groups prosper for a span of time but then quickly go to ruin. It is because they disregarded Heaven’s way.( 017-242,19670129)

11 The greater the number of people praying and offering devotion for you, the more blessed you will be. However, to have many people offering devotion for you, you should first give all the blessings you have to others. Unless you do that, not many people will pray for you to receive God's blessings. The person who has ten people offering devotion for his or her sake is someone God will remember. The church consists of a group of people who have created an environment of such devotion. It is a place where people say, "Let us expand the environment by encouraging one another to go to a new level."( 031-157,19700524)

12 Church leaders should not offer devotion for themselves. They should be offering devotion for many thousands of other people. They should lead people to reach a level of devotion that is not only for their families but also for their nation and even for the world. A church leaders eyes should be fixed not on his own family and church members. He should have the heart to go out to the country and world while appealing to Heaven, "Please combine my devotion and my church members' devotion to make a path on which we can serve the world" If a church leader establishes unity with his members and has a reciprocal relationship with them in this manner, God will surely come and dwell among them. God conies when the church members and their leader become one. However, this happens when they unite not for the revival of their church but for the revival of the nation.( 031-157,19700524)
