Summary:
Paul commands the believers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any fellow believer who lives an undisciplined life rather than according to the teaching they received from the apostles. He reminds them that they know how to follow his example, because he and his companions did not behave without discipline among them. They did not accept anyone’s food without paying for it but worked through labor and hardship, night and day, so that they would not burden anyone. Although they had the right to receive support, they worked in this way to provide the believers with an example to follow.
Teaching:
We receive the tradition, gospel, letters, and truth delivered through Paul, and then put them into practice.
Paul conducted his ministry in an orderly and disciplined manner. Whether a person lives with spiritual order can be seen in how that person receives and responds to the Word.
An orderly faith is a firmly established faith. Therefore, build a disciplined and well-ordered life of faith.
