천성경 (증) - 406. 평화세계 실현의 단계

1 개인의 평화, 가정의 평화, 종족의 평화, 민족의 평화, 국가의 평화, 세계의 평화, 우주의 평화를 이루어서 해방한 다음에 자유천지가 이루어집니다. 그러한 자유세계의 기반 위에서 행복이 있을 수 있습니다. 지금까지 아무도 그러한 평화의 세계를 찾지 못했습니다. 그렇다면 누구로부터 그러한 평화의 기반을 찾을 수 있을 것이냐? 지금 하나님과 사탄이 싸우고 있습니다. 이상의 하나님과 악한 사탄이 싸우고 있다는 것입니다. 그렇게 싸우고 있는 하나님과 사탄이 어떻게 평화의 기반을 닦을 수 있겠습니까? 그 싸움을 누가 말릴 수 있겠습니까? 여러분의 몸과 마음도 싸우고 있습니다. 그것이 문제입니다. 하나님과 사탄이 싸우고 있을 뿐만 아니라 나에게서도 싸움이 계속되고 있다는 것이 문제입니다.

2 내가 가는 길, 즉 우리가 가는 길은 역사를 대신한 길이요, 우리가 바라보고 나아가는 방향은 역사의 흐름과 일치된 방향이며, 동시에 그것을 수습해 나가는 길입니다. 우리는 이 목적을 향하여 우리의 전 생애노정을 걸어 놓고 가고 있습니다. 나로부터 출발하여 그 목적점까지 가는 길은 개인은 물론 가정·종족·민족·국가·세계, 더 나아가서는 하나님과 전체가 동원되어 가야 할 길입니다. 이런 방향을 향해 가는 도상에는 평탄함이 거의 없습니다. 그것은 인간이 타락했기 때문입니다. 개인이 이 방향에 맞추어 목적점까지 나아가는 데에는 투쟁이 있습니다. 개인적인 투쟁, 가정적인 투쟁, 국가적인 투쟁, 세계적인 투쟁, 천주적인 투쟁이 가로놓여 있다는 것입니다.

3 내가 평화의 세계를 찾아가야 되겠다고 해도 평화의 세계가 되어 있지 않습니다. 외부에는 없습니다. 아무리 미국을 가 보고, 러시아를 가 보고, 세계 어디를 가 봐도 없습니다. 평화의 세계는 나로부터 시작해야 됩니다. 세계를 주고도 바꿀 수 없는 평화의 마음이 되어야 합니다. 인간의 욕망은 하늘땅의 모든 것을 내 것으로 만들고 싶은 것입니다. 모든 중심적 가치의 자리에 서고 싶은 것입니다. 그러려면 원칙적 기준에서 통일적 공식노정을 거쳐서 가야 그 공식노정에 계산된 모든 길이 맞아떨어져서 끝까지 통일의 목적지에 도달할 수 있지, 공식과 틀려 가지고는 아무리 욕망을 버려도 안 된다는 것입니다. 오늘날 우주 구성 전체가 공식 법도 위에서 움직이고 있습니다. 오늘날 과학기술도 공식의 발전 기대 위에서 이루어지는 것입니다.

4 개인에서부터 가정·종족·민족·국가·세계로 가는 데에 걸림이 없어야 합니다. 개인으로부터 가정이 승리점을 이어받고, 가정으로부터 민족이 승리점을 이어받아야 합니다. 그러한 패턴으로 가정의 승리점을 종족이 이어받고, 종족의 승리점을 민족이, 민족의 승리점을 국가가, 국가의 승리점을 세계가 이어받아 넘어갈 수 있어야 합니다. 그러한 패턴이 출발과 동시에 변함없이 개인에서부터 세계까지 이어받을 수 있는, 일관된 인연을 갖춘 터전이 지상에 벌어지지 않고서는 하나님이 바라시는 섭리적 최후의 승리점은 이 땅 위에 현현할 수 없습니다. 그러한 것이 없이 이 땅 위에 평화의 세계는 올 수가 없습니다.

5 오늘날 이 세계는 평화를 바라고 있습니다. 만민은 하나의 통일된 이상세계를 꿈꾸고 있습니다. 그 이상세계라는 것은 우리 개인 개인을 통하지 않고는 이루어질 수 없습니다. 우리 개인 개인이 그러한 이상의 터전을 확보하여 환경을 넓히는 과정을 거치지 않고는 그 세계에까지 도달할 수 없습니다. 한 사회를 두고 보면, 사회에서도 서로 경쟁하고 있습니다. 서로서로 분쟁하고 있습니다. 가정을 보더라도 상충된 입장에 있습니다. 우리 개인에서도 몸과 마음이 투쟁하고 있는 것을 볼 때, 평화의 길, 통일의 길을 딴 곳에서 구할 것이 아닙니다. 우리 개인에서 모색하는 길 외에는 없습니다.

6 세계의 모든 사람들이 옳다고 할 수 있는 기준, 공인된 그 기준은 어느 누구도 변경할 수 없다고 할 수 있는 기준이어야 합니다. 그 기준을 중심삼고 세계의 평화가 싹틀 수 있는 것입니다. 거기서부터 선의 개인과 선의 가정, 선의 종족, 선의 민족, 선의 국가, 선의 세계가 출발할 수 있습니다. 그러나 국가가 아무리 선하다 하더라도 세계적인 기준과 방향을 못 맞추게 될 때는 그 국가는 깨져 나갑니다. 그렇기 때문에 우리에게 문제가 되는 것은 주의와 사상입니다. 우주관과 세계관, 그리고 인생관과 생활관, 새로운 세계의 인격관 등이 문제가 됩니다.

7 내가 의지하고 있는 세계, 내가 의지하고 있는 나라, 내가 의지하고 있는 사회, 내가 의지하고 있는 가정, 내가 의지하고 있는 부모, 내가 의지하고 있는 처자, 이렇게 생각할 때에 나 자체에도 의지할 수 있는 그 무엇이 없다는 것을 발견하게 됩니다. 자기 자신도 의지할 수 없게 몸과 마음이 분립돼 있습니다. 여기서 문제 되는 것이 무엇이냐? 내가 살고 있는 세계가 문제 되는 것이 아닙니다. 세계는 먼 곳에 있습니다. 나라도 문제 되지 않고, 사회도 문제 되지 않고, 가정도 문제 되지 않습니다. 남편 혹은 아내도 문제 되지 않습니다. 결국은 나 자신이 어떠한 통일적인 기반을 닦느냐 하는 것이 지극히 중요한 문제입니다. 이렇게 볼 때 내가 평화와 통일의 세계를 바란다면 나부터 통일하고 나부터 하나되는 자리를 찾아야 됩니다. 그러지 않고 통일적인 세계와 관계를 맺는다는 것은 이론적인 모순입니다.

8 제2차 세계대전이나 지금 러시아와 미국이 문제가 아닙니다. 내 속에서 영원히 계속할 이 전쟁을 어떻게 평화로 뒤집어 만드느냐가 문제입니다. 이것은 지극히 중요하다는 것을 알아야 됩니다. 이것이 안 되면 세상이 평화세계가 되더라도 지옥이 됩니다. 선생님이 이 길을 나설 때 제일의 표어가 ‘우주주관 바라기 전에 자아주관 완성하라.’라는 것이었습니다. 자기 자신을 점령 못하는 사람은 세계를 점령할 수 없습니다.

9 타락한 운명권의 후손으로 태어난 우리는 개인을 희생시키지 않고는 가정을 연결시킬 길이 없습니다. 개인을 투입하지 않고는 가정에 평화의 기지를 만들 길이 없습니다. 가정을 위해서 희생하겠다는 정신 기반이 없어서는 그 가정이 민족과 세계로 전진할 수 있는 기지가 되지 못합니다. 안식의 터전이 못 됩니다. 그러므로 가정 자체는 민족을 거쳐 가는 기지가 돼야 합니다. 민족을 거쳐 가려니 일족을 거느려야 됩니다.

10 예수님은 ‘네 마음에 천국이 있다.’라고 했습니다. 천국은 내 마음에 있습니다. 마음 자체를 중심삼고 볼 때 천국은 통일된 세계이기 때문에 마음이 몸과 통일된 기반이 안 돼 있으면 임재할 수 없습니다. 그래서 통일교회가 세계통일을 주장하는 것이 아닙니다. 세계통일이 있기 전에 국가통일이 있어야 되고, 국가통일이 있기 전에 민족통일이 있어야 되고, 민족통일이 있기 전에 종족통일이 있어야 되고, 종족통일이 있기 전에 가정통일이 있어야 되고, 가정통일이 있기 전에 개인통일이 있어야 됩니다. 제일 근본이 되는 마음을 중심삼고 개인통일을 하라는 것입니다.

11 통일의 내용은 간단합니다. 내 몸과 마음이 하나되면 됩니다. 그렇게 하나된 것이 가정과 하나되면 평화스러운 가정이 됩니다. 그렇게 하나된 가정이 사회와 하나될 때, 그 가정은 사회에 누구도 부럽지 않은 행복한 가정이 될 것입니다. 그렇게 하나된 사회가 나라와 하나될 때, 그들은 나라에 있어서 어느 누구도 부정할 수 없고 존경할 수밖에 없는 통일권이 벌어질 것입니다. 더 나아가서는 세계 인류와 더불어 틀림없이 하나됐다 할 때 그런 사람들을 통해서 지상에 천국이 이루어지는 것입니다.

天聖経 (增) - 406. 平和世界実現の段階

1　個人の平和、家庭の平和、氏族の平和、民族の平和、国家の平和、世界の平和、宇宙の平和を成し遂げて、解放したあとに自由天地は形成されます。そのよ うな自由世界の基盤の上で幸福はあり得るのです。今まで誰も、そのような平和の世界を探し出せませんでした。だとすれば、誰からそのような平和の基盤を見 いだせるのでしょうか。今、神様とサタンが闘っています。理想の神様と悪のサタンが闘っているのです。そのように闘っている神様とサタンが、どうして平和 の基盤をつくれるでしょうか。その闘いを、誰が止められるでしょうか。皆さんの心と体も闘っています。それが問題です。神様とサタンが闘っているだけでな く、「私」にも闘いが続いていることが問題なのです。

個人、家庭、社会、国家、世界、天宙の平和
2　「私」が行く道、すなわち私たちが行く道は、歴史に代わる道であり、私たちが見つめて進んでいく方向は、歴史の流れと一致した方向であり、同時にそれ を収拾していく道です。
 私たちは、この目的に向かって、私たちの全生涯路程をかけて歩んでいます。私から出発して、その目的点まで行く道は、個人はもちろん、家庭、氏族、民族、 国家、世界、さらには神様と全体が動員されて行くべき道です。このような方向に向かっていく途上には、平坦な所はほとんどありません。それは、人間が堕落 したからです。個人がこの方向に合わせて目的点まで進む所には、闘争があります。個人的な闘争、家庭的な闘争、国家的な闘争、世界的な闘争、天宙的な闘争 が横たわっているというのです。

3　「私」が平和の世界を訪ねていかなければならないといっても、平和の世界はできていません。外部にはないのです。いくらアメリカに行ってみても、ロシ アに行ってみても、世界のどこに行ってみてもありません。平和の世界は、私から始めなければなりません。世界と取り替えることのできない平和の心にならな ければなりません。
 人間の欲望は、天地のあらゆるものを自分のものにしたいのです。あらゆる中心的価値の位置に立ちたいのです。そのようにしようとすれば、原則的基準で統一 的公式路程を経ていってこそ、その公式路程に計算されたすべての道が合致して、最後まで統一の目的地に到達できるのであって、公式と違っていては、いくら 欲望をもっていても駄目だというのです。今日、宇宙全体が公式法度の上で動いています。今日、科学技術も公式の発展基台の上で成り立つのです。

4　個人から家庭、氏族、民族、国家、世界に行くときに、引っ掛かるものがあってはいけません。個人から家庭が勝利点を受け継ぎ、家庭から民族が勝利点を 受け継がなければなりません。そのようなパターンで家庭の勝利点を氏族が受け継ぎ、氏族の勝利点を民族が、民族の勝利点を国家が、国家の勝利点を世界が受 け継いで、越えていかなければなりません。そのようなバターンが出発と同時に、変わりなく個人から世界まで受け継ぐことができる、一貫した関係を整えた基 盤が地上に展開しなければ、神様が願われる摂理的最後の勝利点は、この地上に顕現することができません。そのようなものがなければ、この地上に平和の世界 は、やって来ることができないのです。

5　今日、この世界は平和を願っています。万民は、一つの統一された理想世界を夢見ています。その理想世界というものは、私たち一人一人を通さなければ成 し遂げることができないのです。私たち一人一人がそのような理想の基盤を確保し、その環境を広める過程を経なければ、その世界にまで到達できません。一つ の社会について見てみれば、社会でも互いに競争しています。互いに紛争しているのです。家庭を見ても、相反した立場にあります。私たち個人においても心と 体が闘争しているのを見る時、平和の道、統一の道は、他の所から求めるものではありません。私たち個人から模索する道以外にはないのです。

6　世界のすべての人たちが「正しい」と言える基準、公認されたその基準は、「誰も変更することができない」と言える基準でなければなりません。その基準 を中心として世界の平和が芽生えるのです。ここから善の個人と善の家庭、善の氏族、善の民族、善の国家、善の世界が出発できるのです。しかし、国家がいく ら善だとしても、世界的な基準と方向を合わせられなくなるときは、その国家は崩れていきます。ですから、私たちに問題になることは、主義と思想です。宇宙 観と世界観、そして人生観と生活観、新しい世界の人格観などが問題になるのです。

7　私が頼っている世界、私が頼っている国、私が頼っている社会、私が頼っている家庭、私が頼っている父母、私が頼っている妻子、このように考えてみたと きに、私自体には頼れる何ものもない、ということを発見するようになります。自分自身も頼ることができないほど心と体が分立しています。
ここで問題になるのは何でしょうか。私が生きている世界が問題になるのではありません。世界は遠い所にあります。国も問題にならず、社会も問題にならず、 家庭も問題になりません。夫あるいは妻も問題になりません。結局は、私自身がいかなる統一的な基盤を築くのか、ということが何よりも重要な問題です。この ように見るとき、平和と統一の世界を願うとすれば、自分から統一して、自分から一つになる位置を探さなければなりません。そのようにしないで、統一的な世 界と関係を結ぼうというのは理論的な矛盾なのです。

8　第二次世界大戦や、今のロシアとアメリカが問題ではありません。自分の中で永遠に続くこの戦争を、いかに平和へとひっくり返してしまうかが問題です。 これは、この上なく重要だということを知らなければなりません。これができなければ、世の中が平和世界になっても、地獄になります。先生がこの道を出発す る時、第一の標語が、「宇宙主管を願う前に自己主管を完成せよ」というものでした。自分自身を主管できない人は、世界を主管することはできないのです。

9　堕落した運命圏の子孫として生まれた私たちには、個人を犠牲にしなければ家庭を連結させる道はありません。個人を投入しなければ、家庭に平和の基地を つくる道はありません。家庭のために犠牲になろうという精神基盤がなければ、その家庭が民族と世界に前進できる基地になることはできません。安息の基盤に なれないのです。ですから、家庭全体が民族を経ていく基地にならなければなりません。民族を経ていこうとするので、一族を導いていかなければなりません。

10　イエス様は「神の国は、実にあなたがたのただ中にあるのだ」(ルカ一七・二一)と言いました。天国は自分の心にあります。心自体を中心として見ると き、天国は統一された世界なので、心と体が統一された基盤になっていなければ、臨在することはできないのです。
ですから、統一教会は、世界統一を主張するのではありません。世界統一の前に国家統一がなければならず、国家統一の前に民族統一がなければならず、民族統 一の前に氏族統一がなければならず、氏族統一の前に家庭統一がなければならず、家庭統一の前に個人統一がなければならないのです。最も根本になる心を中心 として、個人統一をしなさいというのです。

11　統一の内容は簡単です。自分の心と体が一つになればできるのです。そのように一つになったものが家庭と一つになれば、平和な家庭になるのです。その ように一つになった家庭が社会と一つになるとき、その家庭は社会において、誰にも恥ずかしくない幸福な家庭になるでしょう。そのように一つになった社会が 国と一つになるとき、それは国において、誰も否定できず、尊敬せざるを得ない統一圏が展開するでしょう。さらには、世界人類と間違いなく一つになったとい うとき、そのような人たちを通して地上に天国が成し遂げられるのです。

Cheon Seong Gyeong Ⅱ - 406. Steps Toward a World of Peace 
 
1 When peace is realized within the individual, family, tribe, people, nation, world and cosmos, and liberation is attained, a free heaven and earth will unfold. In a world of such freedom, happiness abounds. Until today, no one could discover such peace. What does that tell us about the origin of this peace? God and Satan are fighting. God, the ideal being, and Satan, the evil being, are fighting each other. How can God and Satan, who are fighting, prepare the basis for peace? Who can stop them from fighting? In addition, our mind and body are fighting. That is the problem. The problem is not just that God and Satan are fighting; it is that the battle continues within each and every one of us. Peace advances from the individual to the cosmos
2 The path that we are walking becomes the path of history. The direction in which we advance conforms to the flow of history as we deal with history’s issues. We are pursuing this goal placing our entire life course at stake. It is not only individuals that mobilize to go down the path that begins from me and goes all the way to the destination. Families, tribes, peoples, nations and the world, as well as God and all things, mobilize. Because humanity fell, the path in this direction passes through almost no level terrain. As they move toward the goal, people encounter struggles. Individual, family, national, global and cosmic struggles block the path. (13-316, 1964.04.14)

3 You may say that you have to go and find a peaceful world somewhere, but such a peaceful world does not exist. There is no such world out there. Go to America, go to Russia, go anywhere else in the world; you will not find it. That peaceful world has to begin with you. You need to start with a peaceful mind. The value of that mind is greater than that of the entire world! Human beings desire to own everything in the heavens and the earth; they want to stand in the position of having attained every central value. The only way to accomplish this is to pass through an integrated formula course. That course is based on fundamental standards, and you need to calculate every portion of that formula course correctly to reach the goal. It is fine to strive continuously to abandon your personal desires, but you cannot reach the goal if you do not adhere to the formula. Everything in the universe moves according to rules and formulas. The development and accomplishments of today’s science and technology are based on the application of rules and formulas. 4 We must not get entangled as we move from the individual to the family, tribe, people, nation and world. The family has to inherit the victories of the individual, and the tribe needs to inherit the victories of the family. This pattern of the tribe inheriting the victories of the family expands, with the people inheriting the victories of the tribe, the nation inheriting the victories of the people, and the world inheriting the victories of the nation. With this pattern you can overcome anything. The final providential victory that God desires cannot appear on earth unless every level from the individual to the world inherits that unchanging pattern from the start. A foundation with consistent links has to appear on earth. Without that, there cannot be peace on earth. (57-068, 1972.05.28)

5 Everyone in our world today is hoping for peace, dreaming of one united, ideal world. But without each and every one of us, that ideal world will not appear. There is only one way to achieve that world. It is for each of us to establish a foundation to pursue the ideal and then to work within our environment to realize it. Friction exists in every society due to rival factions. People struggle even within their families. We see that even our own mind and body are in conflict. So, the way to peace and unity cannot be discovered anywhere but within. There is no path other than that difficult search within. (061-247, 1972.09.01)

6 The standard that all the world’s people can affirm as correct, the standard that can gain public approval, needs to be a standard that no one can change. World peace can blossom through the adoption of that standard. Based on that, a good individual, a good family, a good tribe, a good people, a good nation and a good world can begin. No matter how good a nation may be, it will break apart if it cannot adjust to this global standard and direction. Therefore, the issues we need to deal with are ideologies and ways of thought. These issues include our views of the universe, the world, human life and ways of living, and the character of the new world. (033-048, 1970.08.02)

7 When we think that we rely on the world, rely on the nation, on society, on our family, on our parents and our spouses and our children, we discover that there is nothing within ourselves upon which we can rely. Our body and mind are separated, so we cannot expect to rely on ourselves. What is the problem here? The problem is not the world in which we are living. The world is far distant. Your nation is not the issue, your society is not the issue, nor is your family the issue. Your husband or wife is not the issue. In the end, the issue is how you will prepare a foundation of unity within yourself. From this viewpoint, to discover a world of peace and unity, the first thing we have to do is attain inner oneness. To attempt to join a united world without first being a person of unity is a contradiction. (128-077, 1983.06.05)

8 The issue is not World War II or today’s Russia and America. The issue is how to end the war inside myself, which could continue for eternity, and bring peace. You need to understand how extremely important this is. If it does not happen, then even if the world becomes a peaceful place, it will seem like hell. When I started on this path my first motto was, “Before you seek to master the universe, first attain mastery over yourself.” People who cannot conquer themselves can never conquer the world. 9 We were born with the fate to dwell in the fallen realm. So the only way for us to recover our family is to sacrifice ourselves. Individual investment is the only way to make a foundation for peace in the family. If your attitude is that you will sacrifice for the sake of your family, your family can become the foundation for you to advance to the people and the world. It will become your foundation for settlement. It is vital that your family become the foundation from which you reach the people. You lead your relatives so that you can reach the people. (168-114, 1987.09.13)

10 Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you.” The kingdom of God is in your mind. However, God cannot dwell in your mind unless it is united with your body, because the kingdom of God is one world. Therefore, what the Unification Church emphasizes is not the unification of the world. Before the world can be united, a nation needs to be united. Before a nation can be unified, a united people, tribe, and family are needed. Before a family can be united, an individual must be united. This means you need to attain unity within yourself, with your mind at the center. Your mind is your fundamental starting point. (160-264, 1969.05.17)

11 The way to achieve unity is simple. All you need to do is to unite your mind and body. When someone who has attained mind-body unity becomes one with his or her family, there is peace in that family. When a family that is united in this way becomes one with its society, that family will be so happy that its members will not envy anyone in society. When a society united in this way becomes one with its nation, it will develop a realm of unity that is so strong that no one in the nation will deny it; everyone will respect it. Furthermore, when such a nation becomes one with all the world’s people, the kingdom of God will be realized on earth. (199-238, 1990.02.20)
