천성경 (증) - 410. 마음과 몸의 통일

17 지금까지 수많은 성인이 왔다가 갔지만 원수가 어디에 있고 세계평화의 기준이 어디에 있는지 몰랐습니다. 악마와 사탄의 싸움터가 내게 있습니다. 그래서 선생님은 몸 마음의 통일을 주장하는 것입니다. 역사 이래 어느 성인도 설파하지 못한 이론적인 기준에서 몸 마음이 하나 안 되면 절대 안 되게끔 되어 있는 논리를 가지고 교육하고 있습니다. 여러분의 마음 가운데 여러분 자신이 정착했습니까? 자기가 자기 자신을 믿을 수 있습니까? 심각한 문제입니다. 자기 자신이 자기를 믿지 못하는데 어떻게 하나님에게 알아 달라고 할 수 있습니까? 선생님께 알아 달라고 할 수 있느냐는 것입니다. 내 마음이 내 몸을 인정하고 내 몸이 내 마음을 인정하는 절대적인 자리에 서야 됩니다. 하나님이 나를 인정하지 않을 수 없는 자리에 들어가야 됩니다.

18 세계평화의 기준은 역사시대의 종말점에 있는 것이 아니라 내 몸과 마음이 싸우는 것을 통일시킬 수 있는 자리에 있습니다. 우리가 그 자리를 차지하지 못한다면 이상세계는 오지 않습니다. 그 세계는 불변의 세계인데, 여러분 자신의 그 변하는 자체를 가지고 불변의 자체를 소유할 수 있습니까? 그것은 논리적인 모순입니다. 절대 불가능한 것입니다. 그러므로 이상세계를 추구하기에 앞서 나 자신의 통일권, 행복된 자아를 발견해야 됩니다.

19 여러분은 마음을 중심삼고 단결하여 먼저 내적인 기반을 쌓고, 다음에 외적인 기반을 찾아 나가야 합니다. 그리하여 하나님을 중심삼은 내 개체를 넘어 가정·사회·국가·세계를 찾아 나가고, 하늘땅까지도 찾아 나가야 합니다. 그러면 하나의 세계, 하나의 이념을 찾아 나오는 인간에게 가장 중요한 문제가 무엇이냐? 한때에 있다가 없어지는 국가와 세계의 이념이 문제가 아닙니다. 권세가 크고 지위가 아무리 높다 해도 그것이 중요한 것이 아닙니다. 두 세계를 하나로 만들 수 있는 이념과 주인공이 문제입니다. 인간은 마음을 중심한 내적인 세계와 몸을 중심한 외적인 세계가 있습니다. 세계가 이와 같이 두 세계로 되어 있는 것과 같이, 영계도 하늘이 지배하는 선권의 영계가 있고 사탄이 지배하는 악권의 영계가 있습니다. 하나님의 6천년 섭리의 종결점이 내 한 몸에 있다는 것입니다.

20 오늘날 천하를 통일했다고 하더라도 그 통일된 세계는 그 내부에 싸움을 내포하고 있는 통일권의 세계이지, 그 내부가 통일되어 외적인 통일권을 이룬 세계가 아닙니다. 그러므로 설령 외적인 통일을 이루었다고 하더라도 그 세계는 어차피 갈라진 결과를 가져옵니다. 자유를 바라고 평화를 바라며 천국생활을 누리고자 하여도 현재의 어떠한 줄로 얽어매어서는 그런 것을 이룰 수 없습니다. 근본적인 문제는 우리 개체의 통일입니다. 몸과 마음이 통일을 이루어 그 근본 된 마음이 이 세상의 그 무엇과도 바꿀 수 없는 행복의 여건을 차지했다고 주장할 수 있고, 지금 이 세계에 존재하는 어떤 무엇에 부딪혀도 양보하지 않고 깨지지 않는 중심을 갖춘 인간으로 출발하지 않으면 세계평화의 기원을 가져올 수 없습니다.

21 통일의 기반 위에서만 평화가 있고, 행복이 있고, 자유가 있고, 희망이 있습니다. 여러분의 몸 마음이 하나 안 되어 있는데 거기에 자유가 있습니까? 회사에 가더라도 몸 마음이 세계대전을 해서 자리를 못 잡는데 자유가 있습니까? 자유라는 말 자체도 싫어한다는 것입니다. 몸 마음이 싸우는데 거기에 행복이 있습니까? 그렇기 때문에 여러분도 인생문제를 놓고 고민하는 것입니다. 이것이 근본적으로 큰 문제입니다. 몸 마음이 하나 안 된 거기에 행복이 있고 평화가 있느냐는 것입니다.

22 하나님은 지금까지 종교를 통해서 섭리해 나오셨습니다. 종교를 통해서 마음을 중심한 생활을 강조했습니다. 마음을 중심한 생활을 강조했지, 이 세상과 더불어 생활하라고 하지 않았습니다. 끝날 이후의 세계, 이 세상을 넘어선 끝의 세계의 생활 인연을 강조해 나오신 것입니다. 기독교를 보더라도 이 현실세계를 중심삼고 살라고 가르쳐 주지 않았습니다. 이 세상에서 잘 먹고 잘살라고 가르쳐 준 그런 무엇은 없습니다. 반드시 마음세계의 평화를 부르짖고 나옵니다. ‘천국이 어디에 있겠느냐? 이 세계에 있는 것이 아니라 네 마음속에 있다. 마음세계에 천국이 있고, 또한 천국은 끝날에 이루어지는 것이다.’라고 가르치며 나오고 있습니다.

23 참사랑이 없이는 마음과 몸의 세계를 하나로 만들 수 없습니다. 마음과 몸이 분리되어서 싸우는 세계가 바로 타락된 세계입니다. 마음이 절대적으로 중심이어야 합니다. 몸은 절대로 불평할 수 없습니다. 몸은 언제나 마이너스 입장을 취해야 되고, 마음은 언제나 플러스 입장을 취해야 됩니다. 플러스가 앞에 서면 그것은 영원합니다. 마음의 힘을 중심삼고 몸은 그 자리를 만들어야 됩니다. 그러지 않으면 이 세계가 평화로운 세계가 되었다 하더라도 여러분은 그 이상세계에 연결될 수 없습니다.

24 통일이 없는 데는 평화가 없습니다. 통일이 없는 데는 희망이 없습니다. 여러분의 마음과 몸이 하나 안 되었는데 행복합니까? 마음과 몸이 싸우는데 행복합니까? 거기에 자유가 있습니까? 서로가 잘 돌아야 됩니다. 평화는 서로 균형이 이루어져야 되는데, 균형이 되어 있습니까? 여러분은 부부끼리 서로 잘 맞습니까? 여러분 부부 둘이 아침에 싸우고도 종일 행복합니까? 그렇지 않습니다. 통일된 기반 위에 자유가 있다는 것입니다. 통일이 없으면 행복도 없고, 통일이 없으면 평화도 없고, 통일이 없으면 희망도 없습니다.

25 미래의 새로운 이념은 하나님의 인간에 대한 뜻과 이상을 확실히 규명해야 할 뿐만 아니라 하나님과 인간의 관계를 분명히 밝히지 않으면 안 됩니다. 본래 인간의 마음과 몸은 하나님의 참사랑을 중심으로 완전한 하나의 통일체를 이루도록 되어 있습니다. 그리고 이렇게 하나님의 참사랑으로 마음과 몸이 하나된 남자와 여자가 하나님의 참사랑을 중심으로 만나 남편과 아내로서 한 가정을 이루게 되면, 이 가정은 하나님의 참사랑을 중심삼고 일체를 이룸으로써 참된 자유와 평화와 행복의 근원지가 되는 것입니다.

26 마음과 몸에 있어서 평화의 기준을 어디에 세울 것이냐가 인생에 있어서 가장 귀한 문제입니다. 마음과 몸이 싸우고 있습니다. 평화의 기준은 어디에 있느냐? 세계도 아니요, 나라도 아니요, 종교도 아닙니다. 나 자신에 있어 몸 마음의 절대 통일을 이룬 평화의 기준을 확립하는 것이 종교지도자요, 그렇게 되게 하는 것이 교육과 수련의 목적입니다. 그렇기 때문에 여러분이 아무리 종교를 믿고 위대한 종교지도자가 되었다고 하더라도 몸 마음의 통일을 이루지 못하면 안 됩니다. 개인의 기준에 평화의 기원을 확립하고 정착시켜야 됩니다. 평화의 기원을 나로부터 설정하지 않고는 이상적인 종교니 천국이니 하는 것은 꿈에 불과합니다. 그것은 나와 관계가 없습니다.

27 내 몸과 마음을 어떻게 하나 만드느냐? 세계에 대한 불평을 하기 전에, 세계에 대한 참평화를 부르짖기 전에, 세계에 대한 참행복을 부르짖기 전에 여러분 자신을 중심삼고 몸과 마음이 하나되어 평화의 기점을 이루고 있느냐, 평화의 중심의 기점이 하나님이 되어 있느냐가 문제입니다. 그 기점은 마음만 가지고도 안 됩니다. 하나님을 중심삼은 마음에 일치될 수 있는 몸이 돼야 합니다. 이렇게 되었더라면 하나님을 따라가는 길이 둘이 될 수 없습니다. 그런데 타락함으로써 오늘날 사람은 두 길로 가게 되었습니다. 갈라지게 됐습니다. 그러한 결과를 두고 볼 때 원인이 그릇되었다는 사실을 부정할 수 없는 것입니다.

28 세계적인 이념의 장벽을 헐어 버리고 세계를 위해 자기를 희생하겠다는 주의가 바로 하나님주의입니다. 하나님은 세계를 위해 제일 가까운 아들딸을 희생시키는 것입니다. 하나님은 제일 가까운 사람을 희생시켜 세계를 사랑할 수 있는 기원을 갖추어 놓았기 때문에 결국에는 하나님주의만이 남아지는 것입니다. 그래서 역사에 종말이 오더라도 세계의 장벽을 넘어설 수 있는 심정을 지니고, 세계를 중심삼은 민족이나 국가의 입장에서 살아갈 수 있는 뜻을 가져야 됩니다. 그러지 않고는 세계에 남아지는 무리가 되지 못합니다. 우리는 몸을 중심삼고 하나되는 것이 아닙니다. 몸은 마음을 중심삼고, 마음은 하늘을 중심삼고 하나되어야 합니다. 하늘과 마음과 몸이 일치된 그 사람에게는 평화와 행복과 이상이 정착됩니다.

29 사람이 본래 마음적 분야를 중심삼고 몸이 하나되어 갈라지려야 갈라질 수 없게 되었다면 타락이 없는 완성한 인간이 되었을 것입니다. 에덴에서 타락하지 않았으면 몸과 마음이 갈라지지 않는다는 것입니다. 그런데 인간의 마음과 몸은 지금까지 싸우고 있습니다. 타락한 세계의 그 누구나 마음과 몸이 싸우고 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 마음과 몸을 하나 못 만드는 것이 한입니다. 몸 마음이 하나되지 못하면 평화가 올 수 없습니다. 행복이 깃들 수 없습니다. 인간의 생애가 비운의 생애요, 인생은 고해와 같다고 말한 것도 다 일리가 있습니다. 하나되어야 하는 것이 본래의 섭리관인데도 불구하고 마음과 몸이 갈라짐으로써 전부 사방으로 갈라진 것입니다. 다시 말해서 주체와 대상이 갈라졌다는 것입니다.

30 평화의 세계는 어떻게 오느냐? 몸 마음이 하나된 자리를 찾지 못하면 평화세계의 뿌리가 없습니다. 오늘날 사람들은 평화세계가 오면 통일의 세계가 오고 혹은 이 땅 위에 지상천국이 온다고 하지만, 그 지상천국의 기반은 어디까지나 몸 마음이 하나되는 데서부터 시작됩니다. 몸 마음이 하나되어야 하고, 그다음에는 부부가 하나되어야 하고, 그다음에는 자녀가 하나되어야 합니다. 인간이 타락했기 때문에 세계적으로 전부 파탄되는 것입니다.

31 인간의 마음과 몸의 간격이 벌어지면 벌어질수록 고충이 커집니다. 거기에는 고통이 개재되고 비극이 깃듭니다. 그러므로 우리 몸과 마음의 간격을 좁혀 그것이 하나로 통일되는 때를 맞이해야 됩니다. 그러지 않으면 인간세계에 평화나 행복이 있을 수 없습니다. 그렇기 때문에 자기 자신의 싸움, 자기 한 개체의 싸움을 종식시키지 못한 사람은 세계적인 싸움이 종식되어서 그런 세계에 들어가 산다고 하더라도 희망이나 행복 혹은 평화의 여건을 차지할 수 없습니다. 문제는 나 자신에게 있습니다. 나 자신의 근본문제를 해결해야 됩니다. 그리하여 나 자신이 외적인 세계의 이상적 환경을 맞이하게 될 때에 비로소 마음에 스며드는 평화, 마음에 스며드는 행복을 느낄 수 있습니다. 그런 터전 위에서 세계와 연결되어야 비로소 자유롭고 행복한 천국이 이루어질 수 있지, 환경이 제아무리 갖추어졌다고 해도 자신의 문제가 해결되지 않은 입장에 있으면 어떤 행복한 환경에도 화할 수 없습니다.

32 평화세계로 가는 길은 두 방향에서 하나의 방향으로 가는 것입니다. 여태까지 몸 마음 둘이 싸웠기 때문에 온 세계가 분열하게 되었습니다. 이 몸 마음이 분열되어 세계적으로 전개된 것이 종교세계와 정치세계입니다. 이 둘을 평면적인 세계권으로 만들어 통일함으로써 하나의 방향으로 일체화한 세계적인 평화권이 생겨나는 것입니다. 타락하지 않았으면 아담을 중심삼고 세계평화의 기준이 가능합니다. 방향이 반대입니다. 지옥으로 가는 것이 아니라 천국으로 갑니다. 하나님과 부모님을 중심삼고 개인·가정·종족·민족·국가·세계로 전개되어 갑니다. 그렇게 되면 전부 천국 소속이 됩니다.

33 천국을 이루는 데 있어서 중요한 하나의 표준이 무엇이냐? 천국을 이룰 수 있는 하나의 요인이 무엇이냐? 그것은 통일입니다. 통일이라는 원칙 과정을 거치지 않고는 천국은 실현될 수 없습니다. 하나되는 데서만이 천국이 이루어집니다. 인간이 바라는 평화니 행복이니 하는 모든 요건도 하나되는 데서 이루어집니다. 몸과 마음이 하나되지 않은 곳에서는 아무리 내가 행복하고자 해도 행복할 수 없습니다. 아무리 평화의 기준을 유지하려 해도 유지할 수 없습니다. 그렇기 때문에 여기에서 하나되는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다는 것입니다.

17　今まで数多くの聖人が生まれては逝きましたが、怨讐がどこにいて、世界平和の基準がどこにあるのか分かりませんでした。悪魔とサタンの戦場が「私」 の中にあります。それで、先生は心と体の統一を主張するのです。歴史始まって以来、どの聖人も説明できない理論的な基準において、絶対に心と体が一つにな らなければならない、という論理をもって教育しています。
 皆さんの心の中に、皆さん自身が定着しましたか。自分が自分自身を信じることができますか。深刻な問題です。自分自身が自分を信じることができないのに、 どうして神様に「分かってください」と言うことができますか。先生に「分かってください」と言えるのかというのです。私の心が私の体を認め、私の体が私の 心を認める絶対的な立場に立たなければなりません。神様が私を認めざるを得ない立場に立たなければならないのです。


18　世界平和の基準は、歴史時代の終末点にあるのではなく、「私」の心と体が闘うのを統一させるところにあります。私たちがその位置を所有できないとす れば、理想世界が来ることはありません。
その世界は、不変の世界なのに、皆さん自身のその変わる姿をもって、不変の自分を所有できますか。それは論理的な矛盾です。絶対不可能なのです。ですか ら、理想世界を追求するのに先立ち、「私」自身の統一圏、幸福な自我を発見しなければならないのです。


19　皆さんは、心を中心として団結し、まず内的な基盤を積み、次に外的な基盤を探していかなければなりません。そうして、神様を中心とした自分の個体を 超えて家庭、社会、国家、世界を探していき、天地までも探していかなければなりません。それでは、一つの世界、一つの理念を求めてきた人間に、最も重要な 問題とは何でしょうか。一時、存在してなくなる国家と世界の理念が問題ではありません。権勢が大きくて、地位がいくら高かったとしても、それが重要なこと ではありません。二つの世界を一つにできる理念と主人公が問題です。
 人間には、心を中心とした内的な世界と、体を中心とした外的な世界があります。世界がこのように二つの世界から成り立っているように、霊界も天が支配する 善の霊界があり、サタンが支配する悪の霊界があります。神様の六千年の摂理の終結点が「私」の一つの体にあるというのです。


20　今日、天下を統一したとしても、その統一された世界は、その内部に闘いを内包している統一圏の世界であって、その内部が統一されて外的な統一圏を形 成した世界ではありません。ですから、たとえ外的な統一を成し遂げたとしても、その世界はいずれ分かれる結果をもたらします。自由を望み、平和を望んで天 国生活を享受しようと思っても、現在の何らかの方法で収拾することでは、それを成し遂げることはできません。根本的な問題は、私たちの個体の統一です。心 と体が統一を成し遂げ、その根本となる心が、「この世の中の何ものとも替えることができない幸福の条件をもった」と主張することができ、今、この世界に存 在するいかなるものにぶつかっても譲歩せず、壊れることがない中心を備えた人間として出発しなければ、世界平和の起源をもたらすことはできません。


21　統一の基盤の上においてのみ、平和があり、幸福があり、自由があり、希望があります。皆さんの心と体が一つになっていないのに、そこに自由がありま すか。会社に行ったとしても、心と体が世界大戦をしていて定着できていないのに、自由がありますか。自由という言葉自体も嫌うのです。心と体が闘ってい て、そこに幸福がありますか。ですから、皆さんも人生問題について悩むのです。これが根本的に大きな問題です。心と体が一つになっていないところに、幸福 があり、平和があるのかというのです。


22　今まで神様は、宗教を通して摂理してこられました。宗教を通して心を中心とした生活を強調してきたのです。心を中心とした生活を強調したのであっ て、「この世の中と共に生活しなさい」とは教えませんでした。終わりの日以後の世界、この世の中を超えた終わりの世界の生活を強調してこられたのです。
キリスト教を見ても、この現実世界を中心として生きなさいと教えたのではありませんでした。この世の中で、良く食べて、良く暮らしなさいと教えた、そのよ うなものはありません。必ず心の世界の平和を唱えてきたのです。「神の国は、実にあなたがたのただ中にあるのだ」(ルカ一七・二一)と教えてきたのです。


23　真の愛なしには、心と体の世界を一つにすることはできません。心と体が分立して争っている世界が、まさしく堕落した世界です。心が絶対的に中心でな ければなりません。体は、絶対に不平を言うことはできないのです。体は常にマイナスの立場を取らなければならず、心は常にプラスの立場を取らなければなり ません。
プラスが前に立てば、それは永遠なのです。心の力を中心として、体はその位置に立たなければなりません。そのようにしなければ、この世界が平和な世界に なったとしても、皆さんはその理想世界に連結されません。


24　統一がないところに平和はありません。統一がないところに希望はありません。皆さんの心と体が一つになっていないのに、幸福ですか。心と体が闘って いるのに、幸福ですか。そこに自由がありますか。お互いがよく回らなければならないのです。平和は、お互いにバランスが取れていなければならないのに、バ ランスが取れていますか。皆さんは、夫婦同士お互いによく調和していますか。皆さん夫婦が、朝二人でけんかをしても、一日中、幸福ですか。そうではありま せん。統一された基盤の上に自由があるというのです。統一がなければ幸福もなく、統一がなければ平和もなく、統一がなければ希望もないのです。


25　未来の新しい理念は、神様の人間に対するみ旨と理想をはっきりと究明しなければならないだけでなく、神様と人間の関係を明確に明かさなければなりま せん。本来、人間の心と体は、神様の真の愛を中心として、完全な一つの統一体を成し遂げるようになっています。そして、このように神様の真の愛で心と体が 一つになった男性と女性が、神様の真の愛を中心として出会い、夫と妻として一つの家庭をつくるようになれば、この家庭は神様の真の愛を中心として一体を成 し遂げることによって、真の自由と平和と幸福の根源地になるのです。


26　心と体において平和の基準をどこに立てるかは、人生において最も貴い問題です。心と体が闘っています。平和の基準は、どこにあるのでしょうか。世界 でもなく、国でもなく、宗教でもありません。「私」自身において、心と体の絶対統一を成し遂げた平和の基準を確立するのが宗教指導者であり、そうなるよう にするのが教育と修練の目的です。
ですから、皆さんがいくら宗教を信じて偉大な宗教指導者になったとしても、心と体の統一を成し遂げられなければ駄目です。個人の基準に平和の起源を確立し て、定着させなければなりません。平和の起源を「私」から設定しなければ、理想的な宗教や天国というものは、夢にすぎません。それは、私と関係がないので す。


27　自分の心と体を、どのようにして一つにするのでしょうか。世界に対する不平を言う前に、世界に対する真の平和を叫ぶ前に、世界に対する真の幸福を叫 ぶ前に、皆さん自身を中心として、心と体が一つになって平和の基点を形成しているのか、平和の中心の基点が神様となっているのかが問題です。その基点は、 心だけではいけません。神様を中心とした心に一致する体にならなければなりません。このようになったとすれば、神様に従う道が二つにはなり得ません。しか し、堕落することによって、今日、人は二つの道に行くようになりました。分かれるようになりました。そのような結果を見るとき、誤った原因が存在するとい う事実を否定できないのです。


28　世界的な理念の障壁を崩してしまい、世界のために自らを犠牲にしようという主義が、正に「神主義」です。神様は、世界のために、最も近い息子、娘を 犠牲にさせるのです。神様は最も近い人を犠牲にして、世界を愛する起源を備えてこられたので、結局は「神主義」だけが残るのです。それで、歴史に終末が来 ても、世界の障壁を乗り越えられる心情を備え、世界を中心とした民族や国家の立場で生きていける意志をもたなければなりません。そのようにしなければ、世 界に残される群れになれません。私たちは、体を中心として一つになるのではありません。体は心を中心として、心は天を中心として一つにならなければなりま せん。天と心と体が一致したその人には、平和と幸福と理想が定着するのです。


29　本来、人は、心の分野を中心として体が一つになり、分けようとしても分けることができなくなれば、堕落していない完成した人間になっていたはずで す。エデンで堕落していなければ、心と体が分かれることはないというのです。
しかし、人間の心と体は、今まで闘っています。堕落した世界のその誰もが、心と体が闘っています。ですから、心と体を一つにできないことが恨です。
 心と体が一つになれなければ、平和が来ることはあり得ません。幸福が宿りません。人間の生涯が悲運の生涯であり、「人生は苦海のようだ」と言ったのも、す べて一理あります。一つにならなければならないのが本来の摂理観であるにもかかわらず、心と体が分かれることによって、すべて四方に分かれたのです。言い 換えれば、主体と対象が分かれたというのです。


30　平和の世界は、いかにして訪れるのでしょうか。心と体が一つになった立場を見いだすことができなければ、平和世界の根はありません。今日、人々は、 平和世界が来れば統一の世界が来て、あるいはこの地上に地上天国が来るといいますが、その地上天国の基盤は、あくまでも心と体が一つになるところから始ま ります。心と体が一つにならなければならず、その次には夫婦が一つにならなければならず、その次には子女が一つにならなければなりません。人間が堕落した ので、世界的にすべて破綻するのです。


31　人間の心と体の間隔が広がれば広がるほど、苦衷は大きくなるのです。そこには苦痛が介在し、悲劇が宿るのです。ですから、私たちの心と体の間隔を狭 め、それが一つに統一される時を迎えなければなりません。そうでなければ、人間世界に平和や幸福はあり得ません。ですから、自分自身の闘い、自分一個体の 闘いを終息させられない人は、世界的な闘いが終息し、そのような世界に入って暮らしたとしても、希望や幸福、あるいは平和の条件をもつことができないので す。
 問題は、「私」自身にあります。私自身の根本問題を解決しなければなりません。そうして、私自身の外的な世界の理想的環境を迎えるようになる時に、初めて 心にしみる平和、心にしみる幸福を感じられるのです。そのような基盤の上で世界と連結されて、初めて自由で幸福な天国が形成されるのであって、環境がいく ら整えられたとしても、自らの問題が解決されていない立場にいれば、いかなる幸福な環境にも和合できないのです。


32　平和世界に向かう道は、二つの方向から一つの方向に向かうのです。今まで心と体の二つが闘ったので、全世界が分裂するようになりました。この心と体 が分裂して世界的に展開したのが、宗教世界と政治世界です。この二つを平面的な世界圏にして統一することにより、一つの方向に一体化した世界的な平和圏が 生じるのです。堕落していなかったなら、アダムを中心として世界平和の基準が可能です。堕落とは方向が反対です。地獄に行くのではなく、天国に行きます。 神様と父母様を中心として、個人、家庭、氏族、民族、国家、世界に展開していきます。そのようになれば、すべて天国の所属になるのです。


33　天国を成し遂げるための一つの重要な標準とは何でしょうか。天国を成し遂げることができる一つの要因とは何でしょうか。それは統一です。統一という 原則過程を経なければ、天国は実現されません。一つになるところでのみ、天国はできるのです。人間が願う平和や幸福というあらゆる要件も、一つになるとこ ろで成し遂げられるのです。心と体が一つになっていないところでは、いくら「私」が幸福になろうとしても、幸福になれません。いくら平和の基準を維持しよ うとしても、維持できないのです。ですから、ここで一つになることが何よりも重要だというのです。

17 To this day, countless saints have come and gone. Not one of them knew where the enemy was or where to seek the standard for world peace. The battleground of the devil or Satan is within the self. That is why I am telling you to unite your body with your mind. I am teaching you an ideology that demonstrates logically the need for unity between your body and your mind. This standard is based on a logic that no saint in history has managed to elucidate. Are you settled within your mind? Can you trust yourself? This is a serious matter. How can you ask God to recognize you when you cannot even trust yourself? How can you ask me to recognize you? Your mind needs to recognize your body and your body needs to recognize your mind. You must stand in this absolute position. Then you will be in a place where God has no choice but to recognize you. (202-090, 1990.05.06)


18 The standard for world peace is not something that is to be found at the endpoint of a historical era. It is at the place where we unite our body and mind, which have been fighting each other. If we can occupy such a position, the ideal world will surely come. Such a world is unchanging, so how can you, who are always changing, possess it? It doesn’t make sense to think that you can. It is absolutely impossible. Therefore, before pursuing an ideal world, you should first seek your inner realm of unity and happiness. (139-095, 1986.01.28)


19 You need to unite within yourself, with your mind as the center. First you need to lay an internal foundation and then seek an external foundation. While doing this, you need to go beyond yourself by making God your focus, and then seek out the family, society, nation and world, and even heaven and earth. Then what is the crucial problem facing us in searching for one world and one ideology? It is not the ideology of a nation or world that exists for a while and then disappears. It is not gaining more power or a high position. It is crucial to find the ideology and the person who can unite two worlds into one. We reside within an internal world that centers on the mind and an external world that centers on the body. Just as we have divided this world into two, the spirit world also has a realm of good sovereignty governed by Heaven and a realm of evil sovereignty governed by Satan. I am telling you that the concluding point of God’s providence, of all six thousand years, is within the body of each person. (4-163, 1958.04.06)


20 Even though people say they have united the world, this world remains a scene of internal battles. External unity does not stand on the foundation of internal unity. Thus, even if external unity is proclaimed, it is inevitable that the world will continue to yield divisive results. No matter how desperately we want peace and freedom, and to live in heaven, we cannot obtain these things if we are attached to the present. The fundamental issue at hand is unity within ourselves. Unless we unite our mind and body, unless our mind can say that it has attained all the conditions necessary for it to enjoy the greatest level of happiness, and unless we can become the people whose center will never yield to any earthly things, world peace will remain elusive. 21 Peace, happiness, freedom and hope exist only on the foundation of unification. How can you be free when your body is not united with your mind? Even when you go to work, your body and mind are waging a world war. So, how can you be free? The word “freedom” comes to mean unhappiness. Is there happiness at the point where your body is fighting with your mind? Consequently, you worry deeply about the problems of life and overlook the real problem. How can there be happiness or peace if the body is not united with the mind? (242-060, 1992.12.27)


22 To this day, God has conducted His providence through religion. He has nudged people through religion toward a lifestyle that centers on the mind. He has always emphasized a lifestyle that centers on the mind, not one that centers on this world. God has been drawing us toward the life connections we will have in the final world that comes beyond this life. Even in the Christian view, God does not teach us to live focusing on the present world. We are not taught to eat well and live well in this world. Religion always directs us toward the peace that belongs to the world of the mind. It teaches, “Where is the kingdom of heaven? It is not in this world but in your mind. The kingdom of heaven is in the world of your mind and is realized at the end of our days.” (49-024, 1971.10.03)


23 Without true love, we cannot unite the world of the mind and the world of the body. The world in which the mind and body separate and fight is none other than this fallen world. The mind absolutely has to be the center and the body absolutely cannot complain. The body always needs to take the minus position, and the mind needs to take the plus position. When the plus takes the forefront, it is eternal. In response to the mind’s authority, the body has to create that place. If it does not, then even if this world is peaceful and ideal, you will not be able to connect to it. (217-317, 1991.06.12)


24 Where there is no unity, there can be no peace. Where there is no unity, there is no hope. Can you be happy when your mind and body are not united? Can you be happy when your mind and body are fighting? Can you be free? The two have to work well together. Peace requires a balance between the two. Have you found that balance? Do you get along well with your spouse? If you fight with your spouse in the morning, do you just go your own way feeling happy the rest of the day? No. Freedom exists on the foundation of unity. If there is no unity, there is no happiness; if there is no unity, there is no peace; if there is no unity, there is no hope. (231-269, 1992.06.07)


25 The new ideology for the future needs to examine precisely God’s Will and ideal for human beings. It also has to clearly reveal God’s relationship with us. The human mind and body are designed to constitute one perfected, united person rooted in God’s true love. Consider a man and woman, each with a mind and body that have united based on God’s true love. If they meet as a husband and wife under God’s true love and form a family, that family will realize oneness by putting God’s true love at its center. It will then become a source of true freedom, peace and happiness. (234-238, 1992.08.22)


26 The most valuable achievement in human life is to figure out where to set the standard for peace in terms of our mind and body. The mind and body are fighting each other. What is the standard for peace? It is not the world, not a nation and not a religion. A religious leader is a person who establishes a standard for peace, by forming absolute unity between his or her own mind and body. That is the purpose of education and training. Therefore, believing in religion or becoming a great religious leader is not the point. What we have to do is unite our body and mind. We have to establish and setde the origin of peace at the individual level. If the origin of peace is unsettled within us, things such as an ideal religion or the kingdom of heaven will be nothing more than dreams with no connection to us. (217-180, 1991.05.27)


27 How do you achieve unity between your body and mind? Before you complain about the world, before you shout about true peace in the world, before you shout about true fulfillment in the world, answer these questions: Are your body and mind united as the starting point of peace? Have you set God as the central starting point of peace? You cannot set that beginning point with your mind alone. Your body needs to conform to your mind, with God at the center. If you were like this, you could never conceive of two separate paths to follow God. But people today walk on two paths, and it is due to the Fall. They are divided. When we look at this result, we cannot deny that something went wrong at the origin. (140-017, 1986.02.01)


28 Godism says, “I will break down the global ideological barriers and sacrifice myself for the sake of the world.” God sacrifices His closest sons and daughters for the sake of the world. In the end, only Godism will remain. That is because God has sacrificed the people closest to Him to own the origin from which to love the world. Therefore, even if we face the end of history, our hearts have to go beyond the world’s barriers. We have to commit to live as a people or nation that puts the world first. If we cannot do that, our group cannot remain in this world. We cannot become one by making our body the center. The body needs to make the mind its center, and the mind needs to make Heaven its center. Then they can be one. Peace, happiness and the ideal can settle in the person whose mind and body are aligned with Heaven. (26-236, 1969.11.02)


29 If people could achieve mind-body unity with the mind at the center, such that the two never separate, they could attain perfection and remain unstained. Had there been no Fall in Eden, the body and mind would not have been divided. Yet, mind and body have fought with each other to this day. In each and every person of the fallen world, the mind and body fight. Our inability to unite our mind and body is a source of anguish. If the body and mind cannot become one, it is impossible for peace to come. Happiness has nowhere to dwell. There is some truth to the saying that ours is a life of misfortune, that this world is a vale of tears. Despite the original, providential vision that they become one, our mind and body became divided. From that point, everything in all directions divided. In other words, subject and object partners became divided. (81-281, 1975.12.29)


30 How will the peaceful world come? If we cannot find the place where the body has united with the mind, there will be no origin of a peaceful world. Modern-day people say that a unified world will come and the kingdom of heaven on earth will then be realized. The base for the kingdom of heaven on earth, in all respects, is unity between our body and mind. Our body and mind need to become one. Then we need to become one as husband and wife, and next the children need to become one. Because human beings fell, the entire world has broken down. (261-118, 1994.06.09)


31 As the gap between the mind and body widens, the amount of distress increases. Suffering and tragedy take hold. Thus, we need to narrow the gap between our minds and bodies until they unite into one. If we cannot do that, this world will never know peace or happiness. Even if the global battle ends, and we try to live in peace, we will not see hope, fulfillment or peace unless each of us ends our own battle, the battle within oneself. The problem is within me, within myself. I have to resolve my own fundamental issues. Once I do so, when I come upon ideal surroundings in the external world, I will feel a peace and fulfillment that permeates my mind. In order to realize a free and happy kingdom of heaven, we need to connect with the world on that basis. No matter how well organized the environment may be, if we remain in a situation where our own problems have not been solved, we cannot blend into that happy environment. (20-167, 1968.06.09)


32 The way to a peaceful world is to integrate two directions into one. Up until now, the fight between body and mind has divided the world. The religious world and political world are like the mind and body on a global scale. We need to unite these two worlds so that they can move in one direction for a global realm of peace to emerge. Had there been no Fall, a standard for world peace with Adam at the center would have been possible. The world would have moved in a direction opposite to that in which it is going. Instead of going to hell, it would have gone to the kingdom of heaven. Heaven would have unfolded from the individual to the family, tribe, people, nation and world, with God and Parents at the center. If that had happened, then everything would have belonged to the kingdom of heaven. (227-175, 1992.02.11)


33 What is one important standard and primary factor in realizing the kingdom of heaven? It is unity. Unless we go through the fundamental principle of unity, the kingdom of heaven cannot be realized. The kingdom of heaven is realized only when we are united. The fundamental human desire for peace and happiness is also realized at the point where we become one. If my mind and body are disunited, peace and happiness will elude me, no matter how much I want them. It means that unity is more important than anything else. (82-271, 1976.02.01)
