천성경 (증) - 448. 하나님 모심의 생활

1 하나님의 사랑을 많이 받으면 받을수록 커 가기 때문에 자동적으로 중심적인 개인이 되고 단체가 될 수 있습니다. 또 국민을 통해서 사랑받을 수 있는 기반을 닦았으면 세계를 움직일 수 있는 국가가 되는 것입니다. 이러한 원칙이 있기 때문에 여러분은 모심의 생활을 해야 됩니다. 모심의 생활을 하는 것은 하나님의 사랑을 받기 위해서입니다. 하나님을 먼저 모셔야 됩니다. 하나님의 사랑을 받으려면 어떻게 해야 되느냐? 하나님이 우리 인간에게 완전한 사랑을 갖고 오느니만큼 우리가 완전한 무엇을 투입해야 됩니다. ‘지성(至誠)이면 감천(感天)’이라는 한국의 격언이 있는데, 그것은 천리를 통한 말입니다. 정성을 다 들인다는 것은 안팎을 다한다는 것입니다. 또 언행심사(言行心事)와 모든 실천, 안팎의 모든 생활권까지도 몽땅 합해서 바친다는 것입니다. 그것이 정성입니다.

2 아침에 잠자리에서 일어나 첫마디 말을 하늘 앞에 바치고, 집을 나설 때도 오른발로 첫걸음을 내디디며 하늘 앞에 바쳐야 합니다. 평소의 습관이 이렇게 된다면 시의생활이 될 수 있습니다. 이런 관점에서 여러분은 원칙적인 기준에서 생활태도를 취해 나가야 합니다.

모심생활의 자세와 법도
3 여러분은 현재 어디에 있습니까? 밤이나 낮이나, 언제 어디를 가든 선생님과 더불어 보조를 맞추어야 됩니다. 지금까지 선생님은 하나님이 가는 방향에 보조를 맞추면서 모든 생명을 투입하며 살아왔습니다. 이제는 삼합(三合), 하나님·참부모·여러분이 일치되어야 합니다. 보조를 맞추어야 됩니다. 생사를 결정할 수 있는 내용이 달려 있기에 삼자가 일치되는 점에서 하나되어야 합니다. 그곳에 생명의 부활권이 있습니다. 그 점이 아버지와 선생님이 하나되고 선생님과 여러분이 하나되어 일치될 수 있는 연결점입니다. 거기서 일심통일이 벌어지는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 여러분은 뜻과 일치된 생활을 해야 됩니다. 그러려면 뜻이 어떤 것인지 알아야 합니다. 여러분이 이것을 모르니까 기도하라는 것입니다. 기도하면 반드시 선생님이 나타나서 가르쳐 줍니다.

4 한 치의 땅이라도 내 재산이라고 할 수 없습니다. 전부 하나님으로부터 받았습니다. 하나님으로부터 받았으니 다시 돌려드려야 합니다. 아무리 적은 것이라도 하나님으로부터 받았으니 하나님에게로 가치 있게 돌려드려야 됩니다. 그렇게 할 때 역사는 영글어 나가는 것입니다. 그렇게 받았으니 그렇게 주는 사람이 되어야 합니다. 그러한 사람들의 세계가 되지 않으면 이 땅은 천국이 될 수 없습니다. 하루 24시간의 생활권 내에서 내가 보고 듣고 했던 모든 일들은 무엇을 위해서냐? 하나님을 위해서입니다. 하나님을 위해 보고 들어야 되고, 느끼는 것도 하나님을 위해 느껴야 합니다. 우리가 지상에서 생활하고 있지만 천상세계의 생활과 연결시켜 생활해야 됩니다.

5 여러분이 두메산골에 들어가서 생활하게 되면 통일교회 식구들이 찾아와 주었으면 하고 간절히 바라게 되고, 또 식구 중에 누가 아픈 것이 아닌가 하고 염려하게 됩니다. 그리고 자기와 제일 가까운 식구를 맞이했으면 좋겠다, 또 선생님을 맞이했으면 좋겠다, 목회자를 맞이했으면 좋겠다는 그리움이 있어야 합니다. 매일같이 하나님을 그리워하지 못하는 사람은 하나님을 모시지 못합니다. 여러분은 누구를 그리워하든 항상 그리움에 사무쳐 있어야 됩니다. 그런데 밤 12시만 되면 ‘야야! 자자!’라고 하는 사람은 하나님에게 걱정을 끼쳐 드리는 사람입니다. 천국은 밤과 낮이 없습니다. 심정의 인연을 안고 나올 때는 밤이 문제가 아닙니다.

6 여러분이 배가 고프면 ‘아이고, 배고파! 밥 밥 밥!’이라고 하는데, 누구를 위해서 먹겠다는 것입니까? 하나님을 위해 먹겠다는 것입니까, 나를 위해서 먹겠다는 것입니까? 하나님을 위해서 먹어야 합니다. 그렇게 하여 하나님의 완전한 성전을 만들어야 합니다. ‘내 속에 있는 하나님이 배가 고파서 밥을 먹자고 한다.’라고 생각하라는 것입니다. 그렇게 밥을 먹으면 그 밥은 거룩한 밥이 되는 것입니다. 변소 가는 것도 그렇고, 숨 쉬는 것도 그렇고 전부 마찬가지입니다. 듣는 것도 나 혼자 듣는다고 생각하지 말라는 것입니다. 보는 것도, 만지는 것도 그렇습니다. 나 혼자 한다고 생각하지 말라는 것입니다. 사람을 대하더라도, 사탄세계를 대하더라도 하나님이 대한다고 생각하라는 것입니다. 말을 하더라도 하나님이 말한다고 생각하라는 것입니다. 그렇게 하나님과 완전히 하나된 후에는 나 중심삼고 살고, 나 중심삼고 생각하고, 나 중심삼고 사랑하는 것이 원칙입니다. 그때는 자기를 중심삼고 생각하고, 자기를 중심삼고 사랑해도 그것은 하나님을 중심삼고 생각하는 것이 되고 하나님을 중심삼고 사랑하는 것이 됩니다. 그것이 원칙입니다.

7 하나님을 모신 자로서 여러분이 기쁠 때 하나님을 얼마나 기쁘게 해드렸습니까? 여러분이 배고플 때 밥을 먹으면서 느끼는 고마움 이상 하나님을 모셔 드려야 합니다. 여러분은 좋은 것을 먹을 때나 입을 때, 그리고 슬플 때나 어려울 때에도 항상 하나님을 모셔야 합니다. 그래서 하나님의 마음에 기억될 수 있는 사연들을 남겨 놓아야 합니다.

8 하늘은 심정이 통할 수 있는 하나의 손길에 만물이 어루만져지기를 원하고 계십니다. 심정이 통할 수 있는 자녀로 인해 모든 아들딸이 안겨지기를 바라고 계십니다. 심정이 통할 수 있는 신부에 의해 하나님의 주권이 이루어지기를 고대하고 계십니다. 심정이 통할 수 있는 아들딸들 앞에 이 세계가 주관되기를 고대하고 계신다는 것입니다. 이것을 여러분은 생각해 보았습니까? 생각하면 생각할수록 어마어마합니다. 이러한 하나님의 소원이 내 일신만이 아니라 세계와 천주까지 연결되어 있다는 것을 생각할 때에 나는 아버지의 것임을 부정할 수 없습니다. 그러므로 내 마음도 아버지의 것이요, 내 심정도 아버지의 것이요, 나의 의식과 직관과 감각기관 일체까지도 아버지의 것이요, 내가 느끼고 의식하는 전체가 아버지의 것이라는 관이 결정되어야 합니다. 전력을 다하여 하늘의 소원을 이루어 드려야 합니다. 죽음의 길이 아무리 무섭다 하더라도 비웃고 넘어설 수 있는 강렬한 심정과 신념을 갖고 그것을 극복해 나갈 줄 아는 자체가 되어야 합니다.

9 하나님을 모시는 것에는 법도가 있습니다. 그 법도를 어길 때에는 하나님이 무척 노여워하십니다. 자식을 사랑하는 부모가 자식의 말 한마디에 가슴에 못이 박혔다 빠졌다 하는 것과 같이 하나님도 인간을 사랑하시기 때문에 노여움이 많으신 분입니다. 그렇기 때문에 자칫 잘못하면 하나님으로부터 노여움을 사게 됩니다. 그래서 언제나 선생님도 하나님을 기쁘게 해드리려고 합니다.

10 6천년 역사를 종적으로 보면, 구약시대에는 하늘 백성을 모았고, 신약시대에는 하늘의 자녀를 모았습니다. 이렇듯 역사는 거꾸로 흘러왔다는 것입니다. 오늘날 세상에는 천국 동포의 이념을 중심으로 천국을 건설하려는 사람이 있습니다. 또 천국 자녀, 천국 형제, 천국 부부의 이념에 의지하여 천국을 건설하려는 사람도 있습니다. 여러분은 생활 속에서 천국 법도를 지킬 줄 알아야 됩니다. 천국을 건설하기 위해서는 하늘이 요구하는 천국의 법도를 지키고, 또 천국 법도를 지킬 줄 아는 동시에 천국생활을 할 줄 알아야 됩니다. 그리고 천국생활을 할 줄 아는 동시에 천국의 사랑으로 하나되어야 합니다. 말씀이 곧 천국 법도이므로 말씀을 중심삼고 살아야 됩니다. 여기에 여러분의 길이 있습니다.

11 기도를 통해서, 신령역사를 통해서 은혜의 기준에는 갈 수 있을지 모르지만, 그것은 영계에서 영인들이 협조해 주어서 되는 것입니다. 그러나 본래 인간은 생명체와 생령체를 갖게 되어 있습니다. 나 자체에 영이 있다는 것입니다. 영계의 협조를 받지 않은 영력을 중심삼고 영의 작용을 계발해 놓으면 영인들이 지도해 주지 않아도 나 자체의 생령체가 감지할 수 있는 능력이 생기는 것입니다. 이렇게 되어 어느 기준만 올라가게 되면 하나님이 서러워하실 때 나에게도 형용할 수 없는 서러움이 찾아오게 됩니다. 어떤 사람을 만났다가 떠나보내는데 말할 수 없는 서러움이 느껴진다면, 그런 사람이 가는 길은 제물의 길이 아니면 하나님이 긍휼히 보시는 길입니다. 두 가지 중에 한 가지입니다. 그런 일을 실제로 느끼고 생활권 내에서 자극을 받을 수 있는 입장에 선 사람이 체휼적인 사람입니다.

12 부모가 천륜의 원칙과 더불어 생활한 인연이 이 땅 위에 세워지는 날, 인간 본성의 인륜 도덕이 천지에 창건되는 역사가 벌어질 것입니다. 오늘날 가정을 탈피하는 불행한 청년 남녀가 많은 원인이 어디에 있겠습니까? 천륜의 법도에 일치된 사랑이 상실되었기 때문입니다. 그래서 가정을 중심으로 하나님을 그 가정에 좌정시킬 수 있는 천지부모가 현현하여야 됩니다. 예수님 혼자 오셔서는 구주가 될 수 없습니다. 타락한 인간을 어떻게 구해 주어야 하느냐? 부모의 자리에서 구해 주어야 합니다. 하나님은 참사랑의 아버지이기 때문에 아버지 자신이 이 땅 위에 와서 부모의 자격으로 인간을 직접 구해 주는 것입니다. 자식이 사망세계에서 신음하며 구원을 요청할 때 구해 주고 싶은 것이 부모의 심정입니다.

13 주체를 위한 대상의 자리는 불평이 있을 수 없습니다. 불평하는 것은 망동입니다. 파탄입니다. 그렇기 때문에 신앙길은 불평을 불허합니다. 감사만이 있어야 됩니다. 하늘은 언제나 주체로 계시기 때문에 주체와 더불어 상관된 운명을 가지고 그를 이탈하는 생활의 법도, 생활의 형태는 있을 수 없습니다.

14 천리는 순서를 올바로 지키는 데서 성립됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 주체와 대상의 관계에서 하늘은 절대적인 주체 입장에 서야 합니다. 그 주체를 무시하는 사람은 대상이 못 됩니다. 절대적인 주체 앞에 절대적인 대상이 되려니 절대적으로 하나여야 됩니다. 그러므로 보고 듣고 느끼는 모든 것은, 가정에 들어가 사랑하는 것까지도 전부 대상과 주체 입장에 서서 하늘을 위해서 하는 것입니다. 일체가 그런 것입니다. 그런 가정은 망하지 않습니다.

15 최후에 남아질 것은 뭐냐? 하나님과 인간, 즉 신인의 삶의 길, 신인의 생활관입니다. 인생관도 마찬가지로 신인 인생관, 신인세계관, 이렇게 되야 합니다. 그것이 막연하게 하나님을 대해 사람이 알 수 있는 정도의 자리가 아니라, 사람이 영원히 떨어지려야 떨어질 수 없는 자리입니다. 하나님과 사람은 본래 떨어질 수 없는 자리에서 떨어졌기 때문에 그 떨어질 수 없었던 자리 이상의 자리에 도달해야 하기 때문입니다. 그런 자리에서 신인이 하나된 생활적인 무대, 세계적인 무대를 요구하고 나서야 합니다.

16 이제는 탕감의 양이 사랑으로 변해서 여러분 자체 앞에 연결됩니다. 그런 의미에서 모심의 생활의 법도를 갖추지 않으면 안 되는 때가 왔습니다. 축복을 받았으면 남편이 필요합니다. 남편이 필요하다는 말은 남편을 사랑하는 마음을 중심삼고 척도가 생긴다는 것입니다. 사랑을 가지고 재는 것입니다. 사랑이 얼마나 필요하냐? 절대적으로 필요하다면 절대적 사랑을 중심삼고 내가 대상적인 입장에서 필요하다는 것입니다. 하나님이 그런 입장에 있습니다. 하나님의 모든 것은 절대적입니다. 시작과 끝, 과정도 절대적입니다.

天聖経 (增) - 448. 神様に侍る生活

1 神様の愛をたくさん受ければ受けるほど、大きくなっていくので、自動的に中心的な個人になり、団体になるのです。また、国民を通して愛を受けられる基 盤を築いたならば、世界を動かせる国家になるのです。このような原則があるので、皆さんは、侍る生活をしなければなりません。侍る生活をするのは、神様の 愛を受けるためです。神様にまず侍らなければなりません。
 神様の愛を受けるためには、どのようにしなければならないのでしょうか。神様は、私たち人間に完全な愛をもってこられるので、私たちは、完全な何かを投入 しなければなりません。「至誠感天(至誠、天に通ず)」という韓国の格言があるのですが、それは天理に通じた言葉です。精誠をすべて捧げるというのは、内 外のすべてを尽くすということです。また言行一致、すべての実践、内外のすべての生活圏までも合わせて捧げるということです。それが精誠です。

2 朝、寝床から起きて最初の言葉を天のみ前に捧げ、家を出る時も右足で第一歩を踏み出し、天のみ前に捧げなければなりません。普段の習慣がこのようにな れば、侍義生活になるのです。このような観点で、皆さんは、原則的な基準で生活態度を取っていかなければなりません。

侍る生活の姿勢と法度
3 皆さんは、現在、どこにいますか。昼も夜も、いつ、どこに行っても、先生と共に歩調を合わせなければなりません。今まで先生は、神様が行く方向に歩調 を合わせつつ、すべての生命を投入しながら生きてきたのです。今や三者合一です。
 神様と真の父母と皆さんが一致しなければなりません。歩調を合わせなければならないのです。生死を決定する内容がかかっているので、三者が一致する点で一 つにならなければなりません。そこに生命の復活圏があります。その点が、父と先生が一つになり、先生と皆さんが一つになって一致できる連結点です。そこで 一心統一が起こるのです。
ですから、皆さんは、み旨と一致した生活をしなければなりません。そのためには、み旨とはどのようなものかを知らなければなりません。皆さんは、これを知 らないのですから、祈りなさいというのです。祈れば、必ず先生が現れて教えてくれるのです。

4 わずかな土地でも、「私の財産だ」と言うことはできません。すべて神様から頂いたのです。神様から頂いたので、再び返してさしあげなければなりませ ん。いくら少ないものでも、神様から頂いたので、神様に返してさしあげなければなりません。そのようにするとき、歴史が実っていくのです。そのように受け たので、そのように与える人にならなければなりません。そのような人々の世界にならなければ、この地は天国になりません。
 一日二十四時間の生活圏内で、「私」が見聞きしたすべてのことは、何のためでしょうか。神様のためです。神様のために見聞きしなければならず、感じるのも 神様のために感じなければなりません。私たちは、地上で生活していますが、天上世界の生活と連結させて生活しなければなりません。

5 皆さんが僻地の山里に入って生活するようになれば、「統一教会の食口が訪ねてくれれば」と懇切に願うようになり、また「食口の中で誰か病気なのではな いか」と心配するようになるのです。そして、「自分と一番親しい食口を迎えられたらいい」、また「先生を迎えられたらいい、牧会者を迎えられたらいい」と いう慕わしさがなければなりません。
 毎日のように神様を慕うことができない人は、神様に侍ることができません。皆さんは、誰を慕うにしても、常に慕わしさに満ちあふれていなければなりませ ん。ところが、夜十二時になると、「さあ、寝よう！」という人は、神様に心配をかけてしまう人です。天国は夜と昼がありません。心情の関係を抱いていくと きは、夜が問題ではないのです。

6 皆さんは、おなかがすけば、「ああ、おなかがすいた！御飯、御飯、御飯！」と言いますが、誰のために食べようとするのですか。神様のために食べようと するのですか、自分のために食べようとするのですか。神様のために食べなければなりません。そのようにして、神様の完全な聖殿を造らなければなりません。 「私の中にいる神様がおなかをすかせて、御飯を食べようとおっしゃっている」と考えなさいというのです。そのように御飯を食べれば、その御飯は聖なる御飯 になるのです。トイレに行くのもそうであり、息をするのもそうであり、すべて同じです。
 聞くのも、「私一人で聞く」と考えてはいけないというのです。見るのも、触るのもそうです。「私一人でする」と考えてはいけないのです。人と会うのも、サ タン世界と向き合うのも、神様が向き合うと考えなさいというのです。話をするにしても、神様が話すと考えなさいというのです。
そのように神様と完全に一つになったあとには、私を中心として生き、私を中心として考え、私を中心として愛するのが原則です。そのときは、自分を中心とし て考え、自分を中心として愛しても、それは神様を中心として考えることになり、神様を中心として愛することになるのです。それが原則です。

7 神様に侍った者として、皆さんは、うれしいとき、神様をどれほど喜ばせてさしあげましたか。皆さんは、おなかがすいたとき、御飯を食べながら感じる有 り難み以上に、神様に侍ってさしあげなければなりません。皆さんは、良い物を食べるときや着るとき、そして、悲しいときや困難なときにも、常に神様に侍ら なければなりません。そうして、神様の心に記憶される事情を残しておかなければなりません。

8 天は、その心情と通じる人の手によって万物が触れられることを願っていらっしゃいます。心情が通じる子女によってすべての息子、娘が抱かれることを 願っていらっしゃいます。心情が通じる新婦によって、神様の主権が成し遂げられることを待ち望んでいらっしゃいます。心情が通じる息子、娘に、この世界が 主管されることを待ちわびていらっしゃるというのです。これを皆さんは、考えてみましたか。考えれば考えるほど、途方もないことだというのです。
このような神様の願いが「私」の一身だけでなく、世界と天宙にまで連結されていることを考えるとき、「私」は父のものであることを否定できません。ですか ら、私の心も父のものであり、私の心情も父のものであり、私の意識と直観と感覚器官のすべてが父のものであり、私が感じ、意識する全体が父のものだという 思想が確立されていなければなりません。
 全力を尽くして天の願いを成し遂げてさしあげなければならず、死の道がいくら恐ろしいとしても、高笑いしながら越えられる強烈な心情と信念をもち、それを 克服していける自分自体にならなければなりません。

9 神様に侍るには法度があります。その法度に背けば、神様は、非常に立腹されます。子女を愛する父母が、子女の一言の言葉で胸に釘を打たれたり、抜かれ たりするのと同じように、神様も人間を愛していらっしゃるがゆえに、憤りが多いのです。そのため、まかり間違えば神様から怒りを買うことになります。それ で先生も、いつも神様を喜ばせてさしあげようとするのです。

10 六千年の歴史を縦的に見れば、旧約時代には天の民を集め、新約時代には天の子女を集めました。このように、歴史は逆さまに流れてきたというのです。 今日、世の中には、天国同胞の理念を中心として天国を建設しようとする人がいます。また、天国子女、天国兄弟、天国夫婦の理念によって天国を建設しようと する人もいます。
 皆さんは、生活の中で天国の法度を守らなければなりません。天国を建設するためには、天が求める天の法度を守り、また天国の法度を守ると同時に、天国生活 ができなければなりません。そして、天国生活ができると同時に、天国の愛によって一つにならなければなりません。み言はすなわち天国の法度なので、み言を 中心として生きなければなりません。ここに皆さんの道があるのです。

11 祈りを通して、神霊の役事(働き)を通して恩恵の基準に行けるかもしれませんが、それは霊界から霊人たちが協助してくれるためにできることです。し かし、本来人間は、生命体や生霊体をもつようになっています。「私」自体に霊があるというのです。霊界の協助を受けていない霊力を中心として霊の作用を啓 発しておけば、霊人たちが指導してくれなくても、私自体の生霊体に感知できる能力が生じるのです。
このようになって、ある基準にさえ上がっていけば、神様が悲しまれるとき、私にも形容できない悲しみが訪れるのです。ある人に会ってから別れて見送ると き、言葉にできない悲しみが感じられれば、その人の行く道は祭物の道、もしくは神様が哀れむ道です。二つのうちの一つです。そのようなことを実際に感じ、 生活圏内で刺激を受けられる立場に立った人が、体恤した人なのです。

12 父母が天倫の原則とともに生活した縁がこの地上に立てられる日、人間本性の人倫道徳が天地に創建される歴史が始まるでしょう。今日、家庭を抜け出す 不幸な青年男女が多くいる原因はどこにありますか。天倫の法度に一致した愛が喪失したためです。それで、家庭を中心に神様をその家庭に迎えて座っていただ けるようにする天地父母が顕現しなければなりません。イエス様一人が来られただけでは、救世主の使命を果たせません。堕落した人間を、どのように救ってあ げなければなりませんか。父母の立場で救ってあげなければなりません。神様は、真の愛の父なので、父自身がこの地上に来て、父母の立場で人間を直接、救っ てくれるのです。子女が死亡世界で苦しみながら救いを求めるとき、救ってあげたいのが父母の心情なのです。

13 主体のための対象の立場は、不平があり得ません。不平を言うのは無分別な行いです。破錠です。そのため、信仰の道は不平を許しません。感謝だけがな ければなりません。天はいつでも主体としていらっしゃるため、主体と関わり合った運命をもちながら、それを離脱する生活法度、生活形態はあり得ないので す。

14 天理は、順序を正しく守るところから成立します。そのため、主体と対象の関係で、天は絶対的な主体の立場に立たなければなりません。その主体を無視 する人は、対象になれません。絶対的な主体の前に絶対的な対象になろうとするので、絶対的に一つでなければなりません。ですから、見て、聞いて、感じるす べてのこと、家庭に入って愛することまでも、すべて対象と主体の立場に立って、天のためにするのです。一切がそうなのです。そのような家庭は滅びません。

15 最後に残されるものとは何でしょうか。神様と人間、すなわち神人の生きる道、神人の生活観です。人生観も同じように、神人の人生観、神人の世界観、 このようにならなければなりません。それは、漠然と神様に接して人間が理解できる程度の位置ではなく、人が永遠に離れようにも離れられない位置です。神様 と人は、本来、離れられない位置で離れたので、その離れられなかった位置以上の位置に到達しなければならないからです。そのような位置で神人が一つとなっ た生活的な舞台、世界的な舞台を求めていかなければならないのです。

16 これからは、蕩減の量が愛によって変わり、皆さん自体に連結されます。そのような意味で、侍る生活の法度を備えなければならない時が来ました。祝福 を受けたのであれば、夫が必要です。夫が必要だという言葉は、夫を愛する心を中心として、尺度が生じるということです。愛をもって測るのです。愛がどれほ ど必要でしょうか。絶対的に必要だとすれば、絶対的な愛を中心として、「私」が対象的な立場で必要だというのです。神様がそのような立場にいます。神様の すべてのものは絶対的です。始まりと終わり、過程も絶対的です。

Cheon Seong Gyeong Ⅱ - 448. Living in Attendance to God

1 As you receive more of God’s love, you become larger, gradually leading more people and organizations. If you have laid a foundation to receive love from the people of a whole nation, you can make that nation one that can move the world. Because of this principle, you must lead a life of attendance. You need to lead a life of attendance in order to receive God’s love. You must serve and attend God first. What must you do if you wish to receive God’s love? God comes to us with perfect love, so we too must invest something that is perfect. The Korean maxim “Sincerity moves Heaven” expresses this heavenly law. To offer devotion means to do your utmost internally and externally. You must offer everything, combining your words, your attitude, your mind and thoughts, all your actions, everything in the internal and external realities of your life. In Korean this offering of devotion is called jeongseong. (78-031, 1975.05.01)

2 When you get out of bed in the morning, you should offer your first words to Heaven, and you should offer your first step out of the house to Heaven as well, by stepping first with your right foot. By cultivating habits like these, your life becomes a life of attendance. In your attitude every day, you have to adopt a principled standard. (17-296, 1967.02.15)

3 Where are you now? You should be aligned with me day and night, wherever you are and wherever you go. I live with God, totally investing my life for Him, totally aligned with Him, moving in the same direction as He moves, in step with Him. Now, the three—God, True Parents and you—must become one. We need to act in concert. It is a matter of life and death, so all three of us must come together and unite at one point. That point is the beginning of the realm of resurrection. It is the connecting point where the Father and I become one, and where you and I become one. It is where we three unite with one mind and one heart. Therefore, you must lead your life in accord with the Will. In order to do so, you have to understand what the Will is. Since you do not, I am asking you to pray. If you pray, I will surely appear to you and teach you. (031-321, 1970.06.07)

4 We cannot claim even a single square inch of land as our own property. God gave everything we have. Since God gave it, it must be returned to Him. No matter how small, everything came from God, and therefore we must return everything to God as things He values. The fruits of history will appear when we do. Since we received them as God’s gifts, we should give them back the same way. You should become a person who can do this. Until the world belongs to such people, this earth cannot become the kingdom of God. Why do you think I meet people and listen to them twenty- four hours a day? It is for God. Therefore, you too must meet people and listen to them, on God’s behalf. You must feel their difficulties for His sake. Even while we live on earth, we have to connect to life in the heavenly world. (35-284, 1970.10.25)

5 When you went pioneering alone in the remote countryside, you wished fervently that Unification Church members would visit you. You were anxious whether someone among the church members might have fallen sick. Your heart yearned to see the members closest to you, wishing to see a church pastor or me. You should yearn for God in this same way. If you do not yearn for God every day, you cannot attend Him. Whomever you yearn for, that yearning should always pierce you to the bone. When it gets late, if you say, “It’s already midnight, let’s go to bed,” this will cause God to worry. There is no day or night in the kingdom of heaven. The lateness of the hour is not an issue for those who live in the world of heart. (17-293, 1967.02.15)

6 "When you are hungry you say, “I’m hungry! I want something to eat!” But for whom do you want to eat? Do you want to eat for God, or for yourself? You must eat for God. By doing this, you make your body a perfect holy temple of God. You should think, ""God inside me is hungry and is telling me to eat.” When you eat with this mindset, your meal becomes sacred. It is the same when you breathe, when you go to the restroom, or when you do anything else. When you listen, you are not listening alone. Likewise when you see or touch something, do not think that you are doing it alone. When you relate to people, even when you relate to Satan’s world, you need to think that it is God who is relating to them through you. When you talk, you should think that God is speaking through you. When you are totally one with God, you can live. Even though your living, thinking and loving are centered on yourself, it will still be lawful. Even though you live, think and love centered on yourself, your living, thinking and loving will be centered on God. That is the principle. (92-166, 1977.04.03)

7 As a person who is attending God, how much does your happiness bring joy to God? When you are hungry you are grateful to eat, and when you attend God, you should have even greater gratitude. You should always attend God—when you eat, when you wear something nice, even when you are sad or face difficulties. By living this way, you will leave behind good stories that God will keep in His heart. (17-291, 1967.02.15)

8 God wants to caress the things of creation through the hands of the person whose heart is one with His. God wants to embrace all His children through the Son and Daughter whose hearts are one with His. God eagerly waits for His sovereignty to be established by the bride who is one in heart with Him. God is eager to see the day when this world will be governed by sons and daughters who are one in heart with Him. Have you ever thought about all this? The more you think about it, the more awe-inspiring it becomes. When you think about how God’s desire is not only connected to you but also to the world and even the cosmos, you cannot deny that you belong to God the Father. Therefore, you should think that your mind belongs to the Father, your heart belongs to the Father, your consciousness, your intuition and all your senses belong to the Father. You should establish the viewpoint that everything you feel and perceive belongs to the Father. You should do everything in your power to realize God’s desire. Our path may lead to death, but no matter how fearful it is, we must overcome with a strong heart and conviction. We will have the power to laugh at death and go beyond it. (008-295, 1960.02.14)

9 There are laws for attending God. When you violate them, God is very displeased. Parents can be affected by one word from the child they love. With just one word a child can drive a nail into his or her parents’ heart, or remove a nail from their heart. Likewise, because God loves humankind that much, if His children offend Him with even the slightest mistake, He can become hurt or angry. That is why I constantly strive to make God happy. (17-287, 1967.02.15)

10 When we look at six thousand years of history from a vertical perspective, we see that in the Old Testament Age, God gathered His people, and in the New Testament Age, God gathered His children. In this way, history has been flowing in reverse. In the world today there are people trying to build the kingdom of heaven centering on the concept of the people of God. There are also people who are trying to build the kingdom of heaven based upon the idea of heavenly children, the idea of heavenly siblings, and the idea of heavenly couples. You should know how to observe the laws of the kingdom of heaven in your daily life. To build the kingdom of heaven, you must observe the laws of the kingdom of heaven as required by Heaven. Based on the laws of the kingdom of heaven, you must also live the lifestyle of the kingdom of heaven. And based on the lifestyle of the kingdom of heaven, you become one through the love of the kingdom of heaven. The Word is the standard for the laws of the kingdom of heaven. Therefore you need to live based on the Word. This is the path you should walk. (001-337, 1956.12.30)

11 You may be able to experience God’s grace through prayer or the work of the Holy Spirit because of the cooperation of spirits in the spirit world. Originally, human beings were created to mature spiritually as life spirits and then divine spirits. We are meant to have the Spirit within us. If we cultivate our spirituality centering on the power of the Spirit of God within us, we will gain the ability as divine spirits to perceive things spiritually, even when we are not helped or guided by spirits from the spirit world. Once you reach that spiritual level, whenever God feels sorrow, you too will experience indescribable sorrow welling up within. For instance, if you feel indescribable sadness when bidding good-bye to somebody, it means that person is entering a path of sacrificial offering or another path for which God feels great compassion. It will be one or the other. If you can actually feel that, and stand in the position where you have this kind of intuition and communication in your sphere of life, it means you are a person who experiences the Spirit. 12 When the True Parents live together with human beings on earth bound together by relationships based on the heavenly principles of natural law, on that day the work of God to establish morals and ethics based on the original human nature will spread throughout heaven and earth. Why are so many unhappy young men and women fleeing from their families? It is because love based on Heaven’s law was lost. Hence, to save all families, the Parents of Heaven and Earth must emerge who can enable God to dwell within their own family. Jesus cannot become the Savior if he lives alone when he returns to earth. How can he save fallen humankind? He can do it only from the position of a parent. God is the Father of true love. Therefore, Jesus must come to the earth as the Father, and with the qualifications of a parent, He must personally save humankind. He comes with the heart of a parent, to v save his children, whom he can hear groaning in the world of death and calling out to be saved. (21-156, 1968.11.17)

13 As object partners of the subject partner, we must not complain. To complain is rash and self-destructive. Therefore there is no place for complaint in our life of faith. In our life of faith there must be only gratitude. God is our eternal subject partner. Therefore, as long as we are destined to live our life along with Him, we I should not deviate from His law and His way of life. (58-310, 1972.06.25)

14 Heavenly principles of natural law are established when we human beings observe the proper order. Among subject partner—object partner relationships, God stands in the position of the absolute subject partner. Anyone who ignores that subject partner cannot become His object partner. If you want to become an absolute object partner before the absolute subject partner, you must become absolutely one with Him. If you do so, everything you see, hear and feel, even the love you feel toward your family members after returning home from work, must be for God, because you stand as an object partner before Him as the subject partner. This is what it means to become one. If you do this, your family will never perish. (58-311, 1972.06.25)

15 What is it that will last until the end? It is the way of life that God and human beings share, a viewpoint that they share regarding how to live. That viewpoint on life itself should also be the same; there should be a view of life and a worldview shared by God and humankind. Our relationship with God should not be based on only a vague understanding. This forges an eternal bond, an inseparable relationship. It never should have happened, but God and human beings separated and now must reach a level of relationship higher than what it was before the Fall. This requires that we advance our quality of life to where we are one with God every day, all the way to the world level. (65-127, 1972.11.05)

16 Now the quantity of indemnity you have paid will be transformed into love and be connected to your very essence. The time has come when you must observe the laws of a life of attendance. As a woman, if you have received the Blessing, your husband is necessary for love. Saying your husband is necessary centers on the mind that loves your husband. Your love is the measure. How much do you need to love him? If you say that you need to do so absolutely, then you need to stand in the position of an absolute object partner centered on absolute love. This is the exact position in which God is situated. Everything about God is absolute. The beginning and the end, and even the process, are absolute. (518-296, 2006.02.26)
