[스아랴]

                                                           온 이스라엘 목전에서 그것을 행한 자더라

                                                                     (신34:1~12)

신34:1 모세가 모압 평지에서 느보산에 올라 여리고 맞은편 비스가산 꼭대기에 이르매 여호와께서 길르앗 온 땅을 단까지 보이시고

Deu34:1   And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,

신34:2 또 온 납달리와 에브라임과 므낫세의 땅과 서해까지의 유다 온 땅과

Deu34:2   And all Naphtali, and land of Ephraim, and Manaseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,

신34:3 남방과 종려의 성읍 여리고 골짜기 평지를 소알까지 보이시고

Deu34:3   And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. 

신34:4 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 이는 내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하여 그 후손에게 부리라 한 땅이라 내가 네 눈으로 보게 하였거니와 너는 그리로 건너가지 못하리라 하시매

Deu34:4   And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. 

신34:5 이에 여호와의 종 모세가 여호와의 말씀대로 모압 땅에서 죽어

Deu34:5   So MOses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. 

신34:6 벧브올 맞은편 모압 땅에 있는 골짜기에 장사되었고 오늘까지 그 묘를 아는 자 없으니라

Deu34:6   And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeop: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. 

신34:7 모세의 죽을 때 나이 일백 이십세나 그 눈이 흐리지 아니하였고 기력이 쇠하지 아니하였더라

Deu34:7   And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natrual force abated. 

신34:8 이스라엘 자손이 모압 평지에서 애곡하는 기한이 맟도록 모세를 위하여 삼십일을 애곡하니라

Deu34:8   And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. 

신34:9 모세가 눈의 아들 여호수아에게 안수하였으므로 그에게 지혜의 신이 충만하니 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신대로 여호수아의 말을 순종하였더라

Deu34:9   And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. 

신34:10 그 후에는 이스라엘에 모세와 같은 선지자가 일어나지 못하였나니 모세는 여호와께서 대면하여 아시던 자요

Deu34:10   And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,   

신34:11 여호와께서 그를 애굽 땅에 보내사 바로와 그 모든 신하와 그 온 땅에 모든 이적과 기사와

Deu34:11  In all the sings and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 

신34:12 모든 큰 권능과 위엄을 행하게 하시매 온 이스라엘 목전에서 그것을 행한 자더라

Deu34:12   And in all that mighty hand and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.

   우리 하나님께서는 모든 이적과 기사와 모든 큰 권능과 위엄을 그의 사랑하시는 백성들에게 보이시고 선하심으로 우리를 인도하여 가시는 하나님 아버지이십니다.

   Our God the Father is the One who lovingly leads His beloved people. He demonstrates to us all miracles, wonders, mighty works, and glorious power, and in HIs goodness He guides us along the right path. 

   우리는 갈팡질팡 아무것도 알지 못하여 마치 눈 봉사와도 같은 저희들을 이 거친 들판과도 같은 길에 오직 주님께서 길을 내시어 인도하여 가시는 능력의 하나님이십니다.

   We often wander without knowing which way to go, understanding so little, like the blind searching for a path Yet you, Lord, make a way through this rugged wilderness and lead us forward. You are the Almighty God whose power guides and directs us every step of the way.

   우리는 때로는 어떠한 일이 다가오는 것에 대한 아무런 정보도 없이 밀어닥치는 일들로부터 그동안 우리는 세파에 떠밀려 여러 가지 경험으로 많은 대비책을 세우며 하나님 앞에서 어떤 방비책을 세우며 사는 것은 아닐까를 되물어 보기도 합니다.

   At times, we face situations that come upon us without waring and without any knowledge of what lies ahead. Having been carried through the many storms and challenges of life, we often find ourselves relying on our own experiences and preparing countless plans and safeguards. in prayer, we ask ourselves whether we are living by our own defenses and strategies rather than placing our trust fully in You, O God. 

   그러면서 우리는 매번 듣는 정보는 너무도 잘 알 수 있는 정답만을 듣고 알지만 우리가 아는 정답과는 정 반대로 전혀 예상할 수 없는 일들에 대하여 우리는 정말 어떠한 일들에 대하여 자신 할수 있는지 또한 되묻습니다.

   At the same time, although we hear and know the answers that seem so clear and familiar, life often unfolds in ways that are completely opposite to waht we expect. Faced with situations that are beyond our imagination and understanding, we are led to ask ourselves ones again: What can we truly be confident obout? What certainty do we really possess apart from You, O Lord?

   오늘 본문 속에 모세와 같이 하나님과 대면하며 보다도 하나님과의 친밀함으로 하나님의 의도하시는 그 분의 뜻을 따라 살아 갔을 것이라 생각하는 하루하루의 삶속에 모세는 어쩌면 도무지 이해되지 않는 어쩌면 나도 여호수아가 밟는 땅 그 꿈에 그리던 가나안 땅에 그의 발이 내딛는 순간을 얼마나 그렸을까를 생각해 보는 대목입니다.

   In today's passage, we reflect on Moses, who spoke with God face to face and lived in close fellowship with Him, faithfull following God's purpose and will each day. Yet as we consider his life, we cannot help but wonder obout the moments that may have been difficult for him to understand. Perhaps Moses longed deeply for the day when he would finally set foot in the Promised Land- the land of Canaan that had filled his hopes and dreams for so many years. One can only imagine how often he envisioned that moment, the very moment when he feet would touch the hand he had journeyed toward for so long. 

   하지만 하나님의 숨은 의도 속에는 우리가 알수 없는 하나님께서만이 행할 수밖에는 없는 그 크신 사역이 우리는 알 수도 있을 수 있지만 아직은 다 밝혀지지 않는 그림자로서만으로 만족해야 했을 모세의 인생의 여정속에서도 하나님께서는 언제나 동일하신 사랑으로 충만하신 우리의 하나님 아버지이심을 믿고 따르는 자이기를 소망하며 주님만을 바라봅니다.

   However, hidden within God's sovereign purposes are mighty works that only He can accomplish. Though we may perceive traces of His plan, much remains concealed from our sight, and like Moses, we may have to walk by faith while seeing only shadows of the full picture. Yet throughout Moses' journey, God never ceased to be the loving and faithful Father that He had always been. 

   May we likewise be people who trust and follow Him, believing that His wisdom is greater than our understanding and that His love never fails. As we wait for the fullness of His purposes to be revealed, may our hearts remain fixed on Him alone, looking to the Lord with faith, hope, and unwavering devotion.
