이에 다윗이 여호와께 묻자와 가로되

이에  다윗이 여호와께 묻자와 가로되                                                                         (삼상23:1~29) 삼상23:1  혹이 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 보소서 블레셋 사람이 그일라를 쳐서 그 타작마당을 탈취하더이다1Sa23:1   Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors. 삼상23:2  이에 다윗이 여호와께 묻자와 가로되 내가 가서 이 블레셋 사람을 치리이까 여호와께서 다윗에게 이르시되 가서 블레셋 사람을 치고 그일라를 구원하라 하시니1Sa23:2   Therefore David enquired of the LORD, saying, Sahll I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah. 삼상23:3   다윗의 사람들이 그에게 이르되 보소서 우리가 유다에 있기도 두렵거든 하물며 그일라에 가서 블레셋 사람의 군대를 치는 일이리이까1Sa23:3   And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be afraid here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?삼상23:4   다윗이 여호와께 다시 묻자온대 여호와께서 대답하여 가라사대 일어나 그일라로 내려가라 내가 블레셋 사람을 네 손에 붙이리라 하신지라1Sa23:4   Then David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand.삼상23:5   다윗과 그의 사람들이 그일라로 가서 블레셋 사람과 싸워 그들을 크게 도륙하고 그들의 가축을 끌어오니라 다윗이 이와 같이 그일라 거민을 구원하리라1Sa23:5   So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philstines, and brought away their cattle, and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah. 삼상23:6   아히멜렉의 아들 아비아달이 그일라 다윗에게로 도망할 때에 손에 에봇을 가지고 내려왔었더라1Sa23:6   And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand. 삼상23:7   다윗이 그일라에 온 것을 혹이 사울에게 고하매 사울이 가로되 하나님이 그를 내 손에 붙이셨도다 그가 문과 문빗장이 있는 성에 들어갔으니 갇혔도다1Sa23:7   And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into mine hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars. 삼상23:8   사울이 모든 백성을 군사로 불러 모으고 그일라로 내려가서 다윗과 그의 사람들을 에워싸려 하더니1Sa23:8   And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men. 삼상23:9   다윗이 사울의 자기를 해하려 하는 계교를 알고 제사장 아비아달에게 이르되 에봇을 이리로 가져오라 하고1Sa23:9   And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod. 삼상23:10   다윗이 가로되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와여 사울이 나의 연고로 이 성을 멸하려고 그일라로 내려오기를 꾀한다 함을 주의 종이 분명히 들었나이다1Sa23:10   Then said David, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake. 삼상23:11   그일라 사람들이 나를 그의 손에 붙이겠나이까 주의 종의 들은 대로 사울이 내려 오겠나이까 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여 원컨대 주의 종에게 일러 주옵소서 여호와게서 가라사대 그가 내려 오리라 1Sa23:11   Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O LORD God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the LORD said, He will come down. 삼상23:12   다윗이 가로되 그일라 사람들이 나와 내 사람들을 사울의 손에 붙이겠나이까 여호와께서 가라사대 그들이 너를 붙이리라1Sa23:12   Then said David, Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul? And the LORD said, They will deliver thee up. 삼상23:13   다윗과 그의 사람 육백명 가량이 일어나 그일라를 떠나서 갈 수 있는 곳으로 갔더니 다윗이 그일라에서 피한 것을 혹이 사울에게 고하매 사울이 가기를 그치니라1Sa23:13   Then David and his men, which were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they could go. And It was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah; and he forbare to go forth. 삼상23:14   다윗이 황무지 요새에도 있었고 또 십 황무지 산골에도 유하였으므로 사울이 매일 찾되 하나님이 그를 그의 손에 붙이지 아니하시니라1Sa23:14   And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand. 삼상23:15   다윗이 사울의 자기 생명을 찾으려고 나온 것을 보았으므로 그가 십 황무지 수풀에 있었더니1Sa23:15   And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life: and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a wood. 삼상23:16   사울의 아들 요나단이 일어나 수풀에 들어가서 다윗에게 이르러 그로 하나님을 힘있게 의지하게 하였는데1Sa23:16   And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.    삼상23:17   곧 요나단이 그에게 이르기를 두려워 말라 내 부친 사울의 손이 네게 미치지 못할 것이요 너는 이스라엘 왕이 되고 나는 네 다음이 될 것을 내 부친 사울도 안다 하니라1Sa23:17   And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth. 삼상23:18   두 사람이 여호와 앞에서 언약하고 다윗은 수풀에 거하고 요나단은 자기 집으로 돌아가니라1Sa23:18   And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house. 삼상23:19   때에 십 사람들이 기브아에 이르러 사울에게 나아와 가로되 다윗이 우리와 함께 광야 남편 하길라산 수풀 요새에 숨지 아니하였나이까1Sa23:19   Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon?삼상23:20   그러하온즉 왕은 내려오시기를 원하시는 대로 내려오소서 그를 왕의 손에 붙일 것이 우리의 의무니이다1Sa23:20   Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king's hand. 삼상23:21   사울이 가로되 너희가 나를 긍휼히 여겼으니 여호와께 복 받기를 원하노라1Sa23:21   And Saul said, Blessed by ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me. 삼상23:22   혹이 내게 말하기를 그가 심히 공교히 행동한다 하나니 너희는 가서 더 자세히 살펴서 그가 어디 은적하였으며 누가 거기서 그를 보았는지 알아보고1Sa23:22   Go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told me that he dealeth very subtilly. 삼상23:23   그가 숨어 있는 모든 곳을 탐지하고 실상을 내게 회보하라 내가 너희와 함께 가리니 그가 이 땅에 있으면 유다 천천인 중에서 그를 찾아내리라1Sa23:23   See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me with the certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the land that will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah. 삼상23:24   그들이 일어나 사울보다 먼저 십으로 가니라 다윗과 그의 사람들이 광야 남편 마온 황무지 아라바에 있더니1Sa23:24   And they arose, and went to Ziph before Saul: but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain on the south of Jeshimon. 삼상23:25   사울과 그의 사람들이 찾으러 온 것을 혹이 다윗에게 고하매 이에 다윗이 바위로 내려 마온 황무지에 있더니 사울이 듣고 마온 황무지로 다윗을 따라가서는1Sa23:25   Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David: wherefore he come down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon. 삼상23:26   사울이 산 이편으로 가매 다윗과 그의 사람들은 산 저편으로 가며 다윗이 사울을 두려워하여 급히 피하려 하였으니 이는 사울과 그의 사람들이 다윗과 그의 사람들을 에워싸고 잡으려 함이었더라1Sa23:26   And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made hste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them. 삼상23:27   사자가 사울에게 와서 가로되 급히 오소서 블레셋 사람이 땅을 침로하나이다1Sa23:27   But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land. 삼상23:28   이에 사울이 다윗 쫓기를 그치고 돌아와서 블레셋 사람을 치러 갔으므로 그 곳을 셀라 하마느곳이라 칭하니라1Sa23:28   Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went agaisnt the Philistines: therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth. 삼상23:29   다윗이 거기서 올라가서 엔게디 요새에 거하니라1Sa23:29   And David went up from thence, and dwelt in strong holds at Engedi.            참 사람의 마음은...          Indeed, the human heart...    인생을 살아가는 일이 그냥 나두어도 결코 쉽지만은 인생임에도 불구하고 거기에 적들이 계속하여 추격하여 그를 헤치려는 공격을 받으면 살아가는 다윗을 보며   As we look at David, we see a man who had to live under constant pursuit by enemies determined to harm him. Life itself is never easy, even under ordinary circumstances, yet David had to endure relentless attacks from those who sought his life.    그렇게 하지 않아도 결국 모든 사람은 한번은 모두 죽음이라는 문턱을 넘어야 하는 상황에 놓이게 될 터인데 상대방이 조금 더 일찍 죽기를 원하는 마음을 갖게 되다니..   Even without doing so, every person must eventually cross the threshold of death. Yet how tragic it is that we allow ourselves to desire that someone else should die a ilttle sooner than their appointed time.    그 왕위가 상대방에게 옮겨지는 일에 대한 생각이 너무나 큰 나머지 오히려 그의 인생은 자신을 돌아볼 여유를 조금도 갖지 못한 채 오직 상대방을 수색하며 죽이려 혈안이 되어 찾아 다니는 모습과 결국은 그 칼에 다른 방법으로 자신이 자신을 찌르게 되는 허망한 일들을 마주하게 되는 것을 보게 됩니다.   His fear of losing the throne to another consumed him so completely that he had no time to examine his own life. Instead, he became obsessed with hunting down and killing his raval. In the end, we see the tragic irony that the very sword he had used to pursue another became the instrument by which he took his own life.    누군가를 죽이겠다고 했던 일들이 결국은 자신들의 목숨도 적들을 통해 죽음을 맞이하는 것을 볼 때 사람들이 갖는 욕심이 지나쳐서 행복할 수도 있었을 그들의 삶에 하나님을 믿는 자가 다른 하나님을 믿는 자를 죽이고자 하는 그런 엄청난 잘못된 폐단을 맞게 됨을 보게 됩니다.   When we see those who were determined to take another person's life eventrally lose their own lives at the hands of their enemies, we are reminded of the tragic consequences of unchecked human greed. They could have lived lives marked by peace and blessing, yet their selfish ambition lea them down a destructive path. Most tragic of all, we see a servant of the same God seeking to kill another who also belonged to God-a grievous error born of jealousy, fear, and sinful desire.    어떤 사람은 죽이고자 무기를 갈고 어떤 사람은 그런 자를 대항하기 위하여 무기를 준비하는 것 같습니다.   It seems that some people sharpen their weapons with the intention of killing, while others prepare their weapons only to defend themselves against those who seek to harm them.    하나님께서는 우리의 싸움이 결코 혈과 육에 대한 싸움이 아니고 악한 영들에 대한 대항이며 그것에 대한 죄악과의 싸움임을 말씀하고 계십니다.   God tells us that our battle is never against flesh and blood, but against the evil spiritual forces that oppose us. He reminds us that our true struggle is a battle against sin and the powers of darkness.    남이 죽어야 내가 사는 것이 아닌 그 사람의 죄가 죽어서 오직 하나님의 의가 살아나야 하는 것입니다.   It is not that I must live because someone else dies. Rather, it is that the sin within that person must die, so that the righteousness of God may live and be revealed.    하나님께서 우리와 함께 하실 수 있는 여호와 닛시의 삶이 되기를 기도합니다.   I pray that our lives may become lives of "Jehovah Nissi," where we experience God being with us and fighting our battles alongside us.
