제 22급......傳惡(전악)......악을 전파함......第310事

  Level 22 : Jeon-ak(傳惡,전악 - Propagation og Evil)... Spreading or transmitting evil... Matter 310.

傳惡(전악)은 악을 남에게 전하는 것이다.

  Jeon-ak(傳惡,전악) means passing evil on to others.

자신의 악을 고쳐야 함을 알지 못하고 남의 악을 고칠 것을 권하지도 않으며
도리어 어리석고 온순한 사람을 희롱하고 유인하여서 무리를 지어 자신의 악을 돕게 한다.

  Without realizing the need to carrect one′s own evil, nor advising others to reform theirs,

  one instead mocks and tempts the foolish and gentle, forming a crowd to aid in one′s own evil.

악을 비호하여 처리할 사람을 끌어올려 써서 어리석고 온순한 사람에게 맡겨서 물려주어
진실로 악한 것이 잠시 악한 것을 속여 넘기니 가히 그 재앙을 받게 된다.

  By raising up and using someone who will shield and deal with the evil,

  and then handing it over to the foolish and gentle, truly profound evil deceives mere temporary evil

  ―thereby surely inviting disaster upon oneself.

傳惡者는 傳惡於人也라 (전악자는 전악어인야라)

  One who spreads evil one who transmits evil to others.

己惡을 不知改하고 人惡을 不權改하며 (기악을 부지개하고 인악을 불권개하며)

  They do not know to correct their own evil, nor do they urge others to reform theirs.

反誘弄愚良하여 黨助己惡하며 (반유롱우량하여 당조기악하며)

  Instead, they entice and mock the foolish and good-natured, forming a faction to assist their own evil.

護惡登辨하고 推委愚良하여 (호악등변하고 추위우량하여)

  They shield evil while promoting those who manage it,

   shifting and ebtrusting the responsibility onto the foolish and good-natured.

眞惡으로 陷假惡이니 可領其禍니라. (진악으로 함가악이니 가령기화니라.)

  Thus, genuine evil entraps superficial evil ― which will surely bring disaster upon them. 

 [Explanation, 풀이]

간악한 자는 악한일을 온순하고 착한 사람에게 시키고 자신은 뒤에서 그들을 조종한다.

  Cunning and wicked individuals force evil deeds onto gentle and good people

   while manipulating them from behind the scenes.

사람들은 그 온순한고 어리석은 사람을 믿을 때 그 뒤에 간악한 사람이 있는지를 모르게 된다.

  When people trust those gentle yet foolish individuals,

   they fail to realize the wicked presence lurking behind them.

지독한 惡(악)은 대체로 이와 같이 위장되어 있어 선량한 사람들은 그 진위를 알기가 매우 어려우며

심하면 그 惡(악)을 惡(악)인지 모르고 남에게 전파하게 된다.

 Profound evil is usually disguised in this manner,

  making it extremaly difficult for good-natured people to discern its true nature.

  In severe cases, they end up spreading that evil to others without even realizing that it is evil.

참으로  무서운 일이 아닐 수 없는 것이다. 

  This is indeed a truly terrifying thing.
