내 주의 하나님 여호와와 함께 생명싸개 속에 싸였을 것이요

                                                        내 주의 하나님 여호와와 함께 생명싸개 속에 싸였을 것이요

                                                                                        (삼상25:17~44)

삼상25:17   그런즉 이제 당신은 어떻게 할 것을 알아 생각하실지니 이는 다윗이 우리 주인과 주인의 온 집을 해하기로 결정하였음이니이다 주인은 불량한 사람이라 더불어 말할 수 없나이다

1Sa25:17   Now therefore know and consider what thou wilt do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.

삼상25:18   아비가일이 급히 떡 이백덩이와 포도주 두 가죽부대와 잡아 준비한 양 다섯과 볶은 곡식 다섯 세아와 건포도 백 송이와 무화과뭉치 이백을 취하여 나귀들에게 싣고

1Sa25:18   Then Abigail made haste, and took two hundred loaves, and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched corn, and an hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on asses.

삼상25:19   소년들에게 이르되 내 앞서 가라 나는 너희 뒤에 가리라 하고 그 남편 나발에게는 고하지 아니하니라

1Sa25:19   And she said unto her servants, God on before me; behold, I come after you. But she told not her husband Nabal.

삼상25:20   아비가일이 나귀를 타고 산 유벽한 곳으로 좇아 내려가더니 다윗과 그의 사람들이 자기에게로 마주 내려오는 것을 만나니라

1Sa25:20   And it was so, as she rode on the ass, that she came down by the covert of the hill, and, behold, David and his men came down against her; and she met them.

삼상25:21   다윗이 이미 말하기를 내가 이 자의 소유물을 광야에서 지켜 그 모든 것을 하나도 손실이 없게 한 것이 진실로 허사라 그가 악으로 나의 선을 갚는도다

1Sa25:21   Now David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow hath in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good.

삼상25:22   내가 그에게 속한 모든 것 중 한 남자라도 아침까지 남겨두면 하나님은 다윗에게 벌을 내리시고 또 내리시기를 원하노라 하였더라

1Sa25:22   So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.

삼상25:23   아비가일이 다윗을 보고 급히 나귀에서 내려 다윗의 앞에 엎드려 그 얼굴을 땅에 대니라

1Sa25:23   And when Abigail saw David, she hasted, and lighted off the ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground.

삼상25:24   그가 다윗의 발에 엎드려 가로되 내 주여 청컨대 이 죄악을 나 곧 내게로 돌리시고 여종으로 주의 귀에 말하게 하시고 이 여종의 말을 들으소서

1Sa25:24   And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid.

삼상25:25   원하옵나니 내 주는 이 불량한 사람 나발을 개의치 마옵소서 그 이름이 그에게 적당하니 그 이름이 나발이라 그는 미련한 자니이다 여종은 내 주의 보내신 소년들을 보지 못하였나이다

1Sa25:25   Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabai is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.

삼상25:26   내 주여 여호와께서 사시고 내 주도 살아계시거니와 내 주의 손으로 피를 흘려 친히 보수하시는 일을 여호와께서 막으셨으니 내 주의 원수들과 내 주를 해하려 하는 자들은 나발과 같이 되기를 원하나이다

1Sa25:26   Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to shed blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.

삼상25:27   여종이 내 주에게 가져온 이 예물로 내 주를 좇는 이 소년들에게 주게 하시고

1Sa25:27   And now this blessing which thine handmaid hath brought unto my lord, let it even be given unto the young men that follow my lord.

삼상25:28   주의 여종의 허물을 사하여 주옵소서 여호와께서 반드시 내 주를 위하여 든든한 집을 세우시리니 이는 내 주께서 여호와의 싸움을 싸우심이요 내 주의 일생에 내 주에게서 악한 일을 찾을 수 없음이니이다

1Sa25:28   I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.

삼상25:29   사람이 일어나서 내 주를 쫓아 내 주의 생명을 찾을찌라도 내 주의 생명은 내 주의 하나님 여호와와 함께 생명싸개 속에 싸였을 것이요 내 주의 원수들의 생명은 물매로 던지듯 여호와께서 그것을 던지시리이다

1Sa25:29   Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out to the middle of a sling.

삼상25:30   여호와께서 내 주에 대하여 하신 말씀대로 모든 선을 내 주에게 행하사 내 주를 이스라엘의 지도자로 세우신 때에

1Sa25:30 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD shall have done to my lord according to all the good that he hath spoken concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee ruler over Israel;

삼상25:31 내 주께서 무죄한 피를 흘리셨다든지 내 주께서 친히 보수하셨다든지 함을 인하여 슬퍼하실 것도 없고 내 주의 마음에 걸리는 것도 없으시리니 다만 여호와께서 내 주를 후대하신 때에 원컨대 주의 여종을 생각하소서

1Sa25:31 That this shall be no grief unto thee, nor offence of heart unto my lord, either that thou hast shed blood causeless, or that my lord hath avenged himself: but when the LORD shall have dealt well with my lord, then remember thine handmaid.

삼상25:32 다윗이 아비가일에게 이르되 오늘날 너를 보내어 나를 영접케 하신 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 찬송할찌로다

1Sa25:32 And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me:

삼상25:33 또 네 지혜를 칭찬할찌며 또 네게 복이 있을찌로다 오늘날 내가 피를 흘릴 것과 친히 보수하는 것을 네가 막았느니라

1Sa25:33 And blessed be thy advice, and blessed by thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.

삼상25:34 나를 막아 너를 해하지 않게 하신 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 사심으로 맹세하노니 네가 급히 와서 나를 영접지 아니하였더면 밝은 아침에는 과연 나발에게 한 남자도 남겨두지 아니하였으리라

1Sa25:34 For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not been left unto nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.

삼상25:35 다윗이 그가 가져온 것을 그의 손에서 받고 그에게 이르되 네 집으로 평안히 올라가라 내가 네 말을 듣고 네 청을 허락하노라

1Sa25:35 So David received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her, God up in peace to thine house; see, I have hearkened to thy voice, and have accepted thy person.

삼상25:36 아비가일이 나발에게로 돌아오니 그가 왕의 잔치 같은 잔치를 그 집에 배설하고 대취하여 마음에 기뻐하므로 아비가일이 밝은 아침까지는 다소간 말하지 아니하다가

1Sa25:36 And abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king; and Nabal's heart was very drunken: wherefore she told him nothing less or more, until the morning light.

삼상25:37 아침에 나발이 포도주가 깬 후에 그 아내가 그에게 일을 고하매 그가 낙담하여 몸이 돌과 같이 되었더니

1Sa25:37 But it came to pass in the morning when the wine was gone out of Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.

삼상25:38 한 열흘 후에 여호와께서 나발을 치시매 그가 죽으니라

1Sa25:38 And it came to pass about ten days after, that the LORD smote Nabal, that he died.

삼상25:39 다윗이 나발의 죽었다 함을 듣고 가로되 나발에게 당한 나의 욕을 신설하사 종으로 악한 일을 하지 않게 하신 여호와를 찬송할찌로다 여호와께서 나발의 악행을 그 머리에 돌리셨도다 하니라 다윗이 아비가일로 자기 아내를 삼으려고 보내어 그에게 말하게 하매

1Sa25:39 And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.

삼상25:40 다윗이 사환들이 갈멜에 가서 아비가일에게 이르러 그에게 일러 가로되 다윗이 당신을 아내로 삼고자 하여 우리를 당신께 보내더이다

1Sa25:40 And when the servants of David were come to Abigail to Carmel, they spake unto her, saying, David sent us unto thee, to take thee to him to wife.

삼상25:41 그가 일어나 몸을 굽혀 얼굴을 땅에 대고 가로되 내 주의 여종은 내 주의 사환들의 발 씻길 종이니이다 하고

1Sa25:41 And she arose, and bowed herself on her face to the earth, and said, Behold, let thine handmaid be a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.

삼상25:42 급히 일어나서 나귀를 타고 따르는 처녀 다섯과 함께 다윗의 사자들을 따라가서 다윗의 아내가 되니라

1Sa25:42 And Abigail hasted, and arose, and rode upon an ass, with five damsels of hers that went after her; and she went after the messengers of David, and became his wife.

삼상25:43 다윗이 또 이스르엘 아히노암을 취하였더니 그들 두 사람이 자기 아내가 되니라

1Sa25:43 David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they were also both of them his wives.

삼상25:44 사울이 그 딸 다윗의 아내 미갈을 갈림에 사는 라이스의 아들 발디에게 주었더라

1Sa25:44 But Saul had given Michal his daughter, David's wife, to Phalti the son of Laish, which was of Gallim.

* 총명하고(טוׄבת ̄שׂכל, 토바트 세켈) ‘통찰력(신중, 분별, 지혜)이 탁월하다(좋다) 는 뜻.

* 문안하고(לשׄלוׁם, 레솰롬) ‘평안을 묻다’는 뜻. ‘평안’ (솰롬)을 물을 때 상대방이 ‘솰롬’ 으로 답변하느냐 그렇지 못하느냐에 따라 평화와 전쟁이 판가름났다.

* 좋은 날(יוׁם טוׁב, 욤 토브) ‘즐겁고 유쾌한 날’ 이란뜻. 여기서는 양털 깎는 날. 이날은 유목민들에게 1년 중 가장 기쁜 날로, 마을 전체의 축제에 해당한다.

* 담이 되었음이라(חוׁמה היוּ, 호마 하유) ‘든든한 성벽이 되었다’ 는 말로, (보호자, 파수꾼으로서) 안전하게 지켜 주었다‘는 뜻.

* 호젓한 곳(סתר, 쎄테르) 원뜻은 ‘숨다.’ 감추어진 곳, 은신처, ‘산 사이의 깊은 골짜기’로 본다.

* 든든한 집(בּית נאמן, 바이트 네에만) ‘영구적이고 쇠하지 않는 집, 신뢰할 만한 집’. 다윗이 이스라엘 왕권을 잇게 될 것이고, 그 후손이 영원할 것이라는 예언적인 메시지가 담겨있다.

* 생명 싸개(צרוׁר ההיים, 체로르 하하임) ‘생명을 보관하는 꾸러미(주머니)’ 란 뜻. 귀한 보물을 보자기에 단단히 싸듯 하나님의 은혜와 돌보심이라는 보자기 안에 다윗의 생명을 잘 보관해 아무 해가 없도록 한다는 뜻이 담겨져 있다.

* 갚아주사(רב את ̄ריב, 라브 에트 리브) ‘원통함을 변호했다. 억울함을 갚아 주시기 위해 싸웠다’는 뜻.

* 발 씻길 종(רלחצ רגלי עבדע, 릴레호츠 라그레 아브데) 최고의 자기비하이다. 발씻는 일은 미천한 종의 일이기 때문이다.

  한 가정안에 주님께 깨어 있는 그 한사람의 위력은 정말 대단한것 같습니다.

   the impact of even one person in a family who remains always awake and devoted to the Lord can be truly powerful.     

   그 한사람이 한가정을 살릴 수도 있고 그 한사람이 다른 사람이 죄를 지을 수 있는 길을 막아낼 수도 있게 하시며 

우리에게 그 겨자씨만한 작은 믿음일 지라도 자신과 가정을 지킬 수 있는 것은 하나님을 향한 믿음과 지혜로운 삶의 태도로 나타나는 것을 보게 됩니다.

  One person can bring salvation and restoration to a family, and that same person can help keep others from going down the path of sin. We come to realize that even a faith as small as a mustard seed has the power to guard ourselves and our families when it is lived out through trust in God and a wise, faithful way of life.   

   우리는 삶에서 순간 순간 나에게 올 수도 있는 시험의 때를 하나님의 지혜로 아름답게 무장하여 주님께서 오시는 길을 잘 준비됨이 있기를 기도합니다. 

   I pray that, whenever we face moments of trial in our lives, we will be clothed with the wisdom of God and prepared faithfully and beautifully for the coming of our Lord.
