미국의 Legend Rock Band「C.C.R」의 싱글로서

'Up Around the Bend'는 '굽이굽이 돌아서' 라는

뜻도 있지만, 'losing one's mind(정신을 잃다)'라는

뜻의 관용어(慣用語)로 사용되기도 합니다.

어쨌거나 1970년 이 곡은 미국 빌 보드 HOT 100

차트에서 4위에 올랐으며, UK에서도 큰 인기를 끌어

UK 싱글 차트 3위에 오르면서 100만 장 이상의 판매

고를 기록합니다.

'Elton John'과 'Hanoi Rocks' 등 여러 아티스트가

리메이크 했습니다.

『Up Around The Bend』는 리더인 '존 포거티'가

연주하는 두드러지게 높은 음의 기타 Riff로 시작합니다.

가사는 'rising wind(떠오르는 바람)'이나 'end of the

highway (고속도로 끝)'과 같은 은유를 사용하여 힘든
