제 26급......外善(외선)......겉으로만 착한 체함.......第315事

 Grade 26 : Oeseon(外善,외선)... Feigning Goodness / Pretending to Be Virtuous... Article 315.

外善(외선)은 밖은 착하면서 안은 惡(악)한 것이다.

  Oeseon(外善,외선) refers to being good on the outside while being evil on the inside.

말은 바르되 행동이 그에 합당치 않으며 행동은 합당하되  일은 믿을 수 없다.

  One′s words are righteous, but their actions do not match them;

   their actions may seem fitting, but their work cannot be trusted.

눈(雪,설) 밑의 함정에 惡(악)함으로 태어난 것들이 가득한 것은 눈(眼,안)이 멀어 버린 惡(악)함이니 

가히 그 재앙을 받게 될 것이다.  

  The trap hidden beneath the snow being fliied with things born of evil is form of blinded evil,

   which will inevitably bring disaster upon itself.

外善者는 外善而內惡也라 (외선자는 외선이내악야라)

  A person of Oeseon(outward goodness) is good on the outside but evil on the inside.

言正而行不合하며 行合而事不孚라 (언정이행불합하며 행합이사불부라)

  Their words are righteous, yet their actions do not match;

   their actions may seem fitting, yet their work cannot be trusted.

雪下陷穽에 惡胎産滿은 盲惡也니 可領其禍니라. (설하함정에 악태산만은 맹악야니 가령기화니라.)

  A trap under the snow filled with offspring born of evil is a form of blind evil,

  which will inevitably bring disaster upon oneself.

 [Explanation, 풀이]

말과 행동이 일치하더라도 일까지 일치하는 경우는 드물다.

  Even if one′s words and actions align, it is rare for their actual work to align as well.

이는 말과 행동이 엉성해도 일을 제대로 함과 같지 않다.

  This is not the same as getting the work done properly even if one′s words and actions are sloppy.

평소의 말과 행동보다는 일을 제대로 처리하는 것이 모든 사람에게 德(덕)이 된다. 
  Handling work properly, rether than one′s  usual words and actions, becomes a virtue to everyone.
