You weren’t called to be perfect. You were called to the Perfect One.
Life is messy. Your faith may feel fragile. You might deal with constant pressure for perfection. But Jesus—the founder and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)—isn’t asking you to have it all together. He’s asking you to come.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
You don’t have to carry the weight of perfection. He already did that on the cross. All you have to do is come to Him—weak, weary, imperfect—and receive grace.
Remember, we are not called to perfection, but to the Perfect One. There is so much peace in that truth! Release, surrender, and rest in Jesus.
Whatever you face today, you do not face it alone. “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:8).
In a world that is loud overwhelming, stressful, hurtful and distracting - We have a place of refuge in Jesus.
The enemy will take our eyes off Jesus and put them on the things of this world to bring us comfort and safety, but these things will never suffice.
Jesus is our shelter from the storms. He is our comfort in the midst of the pain. He is our friend in the deep depths of loneliness. He's our light in the dark. He is the truth in the lies of the world. He is our everything. Only Jesus will do!!
Thank You, Lord, that we can trust You today. May we feel Your presence with us every step of this day for we know we do not walk alone. Amen.
