        The Wonder Of Nature   자연의 신비

           Job 36:26-33  

[욥] 36:26	How great is God--beyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out.
[욥] 36:27	"He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams;
[욥] 36:28	the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.
[욥] 36:29	Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion?
[욥] 36:30	See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea.
[욥] 36:31	This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance.
[욥] 36:32	He fills his hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark.
[욥] 36:33	His thunder announces the coming storm; even the cattle make known its approach.

[욥] 36:26	하나님은 높으시니 우리가 그를 알 수 없고 그의 햇수를 헤아릴 수 없느니라
[욥] 36:27	그가 물방울을 가늘게 하시며 빗방울이 증발하여 안개가 되게 하시도다
[욥] 36:28	그것이 구름에서 내려 많은 사람에게 쏟아지느니라
[욥] 36:29	겹겹이 쌓인 구름과 그의 장막의 우렛소리를 누가 능히 깨달으랴
[욥] 36:30	보라 그가 번갯불을 자기의 사면에 펼치시며 바다 밑까지 비치시고
[욥] 36:31	이런 것들로 만민을 심판하시며 음식을 풍성하게 주시느니라
[욥] 36:32	그가 번갯불을 손바닥 안에 넣으시고 그가 번갯불을 명령하사 과녁을 치시도다
[욥] 36:33	그의 우레가 다가오는 풍우를 알려 주니 가축들도 그 다가옴을 아느니라

미국 중서부 지방의 숲과 호수를 주변에 두고 자라면서 나는 그 지방의 야생 동식물에 매혹되었었습니다.

그런데 최근에 캘리포니아 해안을 여행하면서 나는 콧김을 내뿜는 코끼리물범과 짖어대는 바다사자,

그리고 고요한 미국삼나무 숲이 풍기는 신비로움에서 눈을 떼지 못하였습니다.

줄을 맞추어 날아오르는 펠리컨들을 유심히 보았고,

멀리서 물을 내뿜으며 이동하고 있는 고래들도 보았습니다.

그것들은 모두 복잡하면서도 섬세하게 자연의 조화를 이루고 있는

무수히 많은 생명체 중의 한 본보기일 뿐입니다.

Growing up around the woods and waters of Midwest America,

I’ve been fascinated with natural wildlife native to our region.

But on a recent trip to the California coast,

I found myself staring in breathtaking wonder at snorting elephant seals,

barking sea lions, and a forest of silent redwoods.

I watched pelicans soar in formation,

and I saw migrating whales spouting in the distance.

Together they are just a sampling of the millions of species

that make up the intricate and delicate balance of nature.

성경에 따르면 자연계의 이러한 다양성은 어린아이처럼 단순한 신비감을 불러일으키려는 것보다는

훨씬 더 큰 목적을 위해 설계되었습니다.

자연의 이러한 신비들은 우리가 표현할 수 없고 설명할 수도 없는 아픔과 고통을 당하도록

내버려두시는 하나님의 방식을 우리가 이해할 수 있도록 도와줍니다.

According to the Bible, the variety of the natural world

is designed to do far more than inspire childlike wonder.

The mysteries of nature can help us come to terms with a God

who allows inexpressible, unexplainable pain and suffering.

우리는 이것을 서사시적인 욥의 이야기에서 볼 수 있습니다.

욥은 시험을 당하면서 하나님이,

사탄으로 하여금 계속 이어지는 시련으로 그의 믿음을 시험하도록 내버려두실 만큼,

자신을 높이 평가하고 있다는 사실을 알지 못했습니다.

We see this in the epic story of Job.

While he was suffering,

Job didn’t know that God had such a high regard for him

that he allowed Satan to test his faith with a series of losses.

놓칠 수 없는 궁극적인 결론은 바로 이것입니다.

자연의 신비를 설 계한 지혜와 권세를 가지신 창조주 하나님은,

우리의 능력으로는 도 저히 이해할 수 없는 아픔과 고통 속에서도 신뢰할 수 있을 만큼 위대하다는 것입니다.

욥은 경이로움 속에서 “주께서는 못 하실 일이 없습니다”(42:2, 한글개역개정)라고 선포했습니다.

우리는 어떤 상황에서도 이런 하나님을 신뢰할 수 있습니다.

What emerges is this eventual, unavoidable conclusion:

A Creator who has the wisdom and power to design the wonders of nature i

s great enough to be trusted with pain and suffering

that are beyond our ability to understand.

In awe, Job proclaimed,

“I know that You can do everything” (42:2).

We can trust that kind of God—no matter what.

If God’s creation helps us see What wonders He can do, Then we can trust His promises For they are always true. It’s good to worship God in nature if it leads us to worship the God of nature.

만일 우리가 하나님의 창조를 통해 하나님이 하실 수 있는 경이로움을 볼 수 있다면 우리는 주님의 약속들을 믿을 수 있네 그것들은 항상 진실이기에 자연이 창조주 하나님을 예배하도록 이끌 때는 자연 속에서 하나님을 예배하는 것이 좋다.
