  Rule 6 : So(小,소)... Smallness...  Article 316. 

小(소)는 작은 惡(악)함이다.

  Smallness(So) refers to minor evil.

허물이 지나치면 그허물을 일러 惡(악)함이라 한다.

  When a fault becomes excessive, that fault is called evil.

큰 허물과 크게 지나침은 어두운 지혜에서 스스로 나오는 것이다.

  Major faults and extreme excess arise naturally from dark wisdom(ignorance).

작은 惡(악)도 역시 만드는 것이니 가히 그 재앙을 받게 될 것이다.

  Since even minor evils are created[by oneself], one will surely suffer the disasters they bring.

小는 小惡也요 (소는 소악야요)

  Smallness(小,소) means minor evil(小惡,소악),

過愆이 過曰惡이라 (과건이 과왈악이라)

  When transgression and fault become excessive, that excess is called evil(惡,악),

大愆大過는 出自昧智하니 (대건대과는 출자매지하니)

  Great faults and great excesses arise naturally from dark / ignorant wisdom(昧智,매지).

小惡도 亦所做라 可領其禍니라. (소악도 역소주라 가령기화니라.)

  Even minor evils are things one creates oneself,

   so one will inevitably receive the calamity / disaster(禍,화) they bring.

 [Explanation, 풀이]

매미가 허물을 벗는다는 것은 벌레의 끝이며 매미의 시작이다.

  A cicada shedding its shell marks the end of being a larva and the beginning of becoming a cicada.

즉 混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)이다.

   In other words, it is Chaos(混沌,혼돈).

허물이 지나치다는 것은 일을 混沌(혼돈)으로 몰아가는 것이다.

  An excessive fault(transgression) means driving affairs into Chaos.

이는 질서의 세계를 무질서의 세계로 몰고 가서 멈춤으로 만드는 것이다.

  This pushes the world of order into a world of disorder, bringing it to a standstill.

허물이 크다 함은 멀쩡한 질서의 세계를 파국으로 몰아감이다.

  A major fault means driving an otherwise perfectly fine, orderly world into catastrophe.

바로 이것이 惡(악)에 대한 현묘지도의 정의이다.

  This is precisely the definition of evil(惡,악) according to the Hyeonmyo Jido

  (the Sublime / Profound Way).
