하나님의 보장(保障)의 약속(約束)

(렘1:11-19)
11 The word of the LORD came to me: "What do you see, Jeremiah?" "I see the branch of an almond tree," I replied.  12 The LORD said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled."  13 The word of the LORD came to me again: "What do you see?" "I see a boiling pot, tilting away from the north," I answered.  14 The LORD said to me, "From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land.  15 I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms," declares the LORD. "Their kings will come and set up their thrones in the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem; they will come against all her surrounding walls and against all the towns of Judah.  16 I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made.  17 "Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.  18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land--against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land.  19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.  


살구나무는 팔레스타인 지역에서 가장 먼저 꽃을 피우는 나무
겨울이 끝나기도 전에 1~2월에 개화(開花) 
그래서 고대 히브리인들은 살구나무를 
“깨어 있는 나무”라고 불렀다 한다

살구나무(שָׁקֵד, shaqed)와 “지키다/깨어 있다”(שֹׁקֵד, shoqed)가 발음이 유사
하나님께서 당신(當身)의 하신 말씀을 
크게 주의관찰(注意觀察)하고 있다는 뜻과
언약(言約)하신 것은 반드시 성취(成就)할 것이라는 뜻을 담은 나무라 할 것

11절의 그것과 13절의 남쪽을 향해 기울어진 끓는 가마
이는 바벨론의 침략을 의미하며
남유다에 엄청난 재앙파멸(災殃破滅)이 될 것에 대한 예정예언(豫定豫言)
이를 미리 알려줌으로 만일 회개회개(悔改回改)하면 그 뜻을 돌이켜 그 재앙을 퍼붓지 않을 수도 있다는 의미를 담은 하나님의 말씀인 것

이러한 사실을 왕에게 알리고 백성들에게 알린다면
왕의 분노와 백성들의 여론악화(與論惡化)로 말미암아
산다는 보장을 할 수 없는 예측(豫測)
예레미야에게는 엄청난 두려움과 부담이 아닐 수 없었을 것으로 사료(思料)된다

그렇게 두려워하는 예레미야를 안심시켜 주시는 주님
그 누구도 하나님의 말씀을 전하는 그를 어찌하지 못하게 할 것이라는 
하나님의 보장(保障)의 약속(約束)
오늘부터 이어지는 나의 남은 생애(生涯)에 꼭 필요한 그것이다

하나님의 말씀을 알게하고 싶고
하나님의 말씀대로 실천하고 싶고
하나님의 말씀대로 사역하고 싶은 내 마음
이 마음...하나님 주신 마음이라 생각하고... 나의 남은 달려 갈 길을 다 가리라 오늘도 다짐한다
