제 27급......背性(배성)......본바탕을 배반함......第317事

  Level 27 : Baeseong(背性,배성)... Betraying one′s true nature... Article 317. 

背性(배성)은 본성을 버리는 것이다.

  Baeseong(背性,배성) means abandoning one′s true / original nature.

뽐냄을 버리고 문득 도량이 넓은 것같이 하거나,

  Giving up vanity only to suddenly pretend to be broad-minded,

졸렬함을 버리고 호탕한 것 같이 하여 惡(악)을 시험하여 이익을 이루며,

  Or discarding pettiness only to act magnanimous―thereby testing evil to pursue gain,

좋은 방책을 알아내어 몸을 급히 움직여   惡(악)함을 사는 것은 뛰어 다니는 惡(악)함이니

  And finding clever schemes to swiftly act and purchase wickedness ―this is a running

  (active / agitated) evil.

가히 그 재앙을 받게 될 것이다.

  Therefore, one will surely suffer the disaster it incurs.

背性者는 捨本性也라 (배성자는 사본성야라)

  Baeseong(betraying one′s  nature) means discarding one′s original / true nature(本性,본성).  

捨挾便闊하며 捨拙便豪라 (사협편활하며 사졸편호라)

  Discarding narrow-mindedness, one immediately pretends to be magnanimous;

  discarding pettiness, one immediately acts heroic.

試惡成利하여 認作良方하고 (시악성리하여 인작양방하고)

  Testing evil to gain profit, one recognizes and deems it a good scheme.

奔身買惡이 躁惡也니 可領其禍니라. (분신매악이 조악야니 가령기화니라.)

  Hastily rushing to buy(commit) wickedness is an agitated / restless evil(躁惡,조악),

  so one will inevitably receive the calamity(禍,화) it brings.
