[眞如華]

     66.

     [知命] 與 [認命] 不同.

     [認命] 是消極的態度,

     完全放棄生命的作爲;

     [知命] 則是認知萬事萬物有其因緣,

     該來的總是會來,      順逆皆然.

     “운명을 안다”와

     “운명이라고 여긴다“는 다르다.

     ”운명이라고 여긴다“는 소극적인 태도로

     생명을 완전히 포기하는 것이고,

     ”운명을 안다“는 세상만물이

     모두 인연이 있음을 이해하고,

     올 것은 결국 올 것이니,

     순연이든 역연이든 모두 같다는 것이다.

“Understanding life” is different

from merely “accepting life.”

Accepting life can mean being

pessimistic, or giving up on life.

Understanding life is to understand

that all things exist through causes

and conditions. Whatever is

supposed to come, favorable or

adverse, it will come.

“Understanding life”; “운명을 안다”와

“accepting life”; “운명이라고 여긴다“는

is different from merely; 다르다

can mean being pessimistic; 소극적인 태도로

or giving up on life; 생명을 완전히 포기하는 것이고

is to understand that; 이해하고

all things; 세상만물이

exist through causes and conditions

; 모두 인연이 있음을

Whatever is supposed to come; 올 것은

favorable or adverse; 순연이든 역연이든

it will come; 결국 올 것이니 모두 같다는 것이다
