Chapter 3. Divided Korea And The World
Section 4. The providential meaning of the division of North and South Korea
1. Korea is a world-class sacrifice country
(1) South Korea on a mission of world history to indemnity
If we recognize the strict cause-and-effect rule of indemnity as an undeniable principle in the history of Providence, you should know that Korea is nothing else when you look at what kind of miserable country can replace the mission of debauchery in this world history.
The fact that the world situation on the left and right sides of the Korean War has nothing to do with this race and has nothing to do with it, and that it sheds blood as a festival because of the historical trends of the left and right.
Now that we have lived for more than 20 years, we think about why we should be driven to such a fate zone when we look at the fact that Korea is in a position to represent another tragic fate on the world stage.
Here, when we look at the history of restoration through indemnity, we can see the fact that heaven is world historical throughout this country, and that it pursues natural responsibility.
At this point in time when the two Koreas are divided, China and the Soviet Union are lurking in the west and the Soviet Union in the north. On the southeast side, Japan is holding hands with China and China to confuse the direction of Asia.
As you all know, in Vietnam, the issue of President Tew's future is not being discussed according to one's wishes, but is being discussed on the international political stage as a trade festival.
If you look at these facts, you can see that Korea is facing a reality that cannot be concluded that this fate will not be achieved.
In this reality, the more we think about what Korea will look like in the future, the more we feel that Korea's standing position will inevitably be a miserable one.
What we need to think about here is that Korea's current position cannot be chosen by the power of the Korean people alone.
In other words, it is impossible for the people to choose their way of life in the future by their own power.
We know too well that we have no hope of breaking through the hurtful, regretful environment and overcoming it and establishing our own authority.
When we look at the history of restoration through indemnity, if there is a kind of hope that this nation can live in this position, we can conclude from the position of principle that there is no other way but to dedicate this nation to heaven as a festival. It is undoubtedly the only way for this people to live. (63-267)
(2) A nation capable of achieving a last substantive indemnity
It is not so easy to follow this historical indemnity. He had to make a horizontal reproduction of the four thousand years of longitudinal Providence from Adam to Jesus, and restoration through indemnity, which was left on the path of return in the two thousand years after Jesus,
In other words, Christianity has been indemnity, preaching the gospel to many peoples and nations, but what remains of it must be brought back to the present day by side to restoration through indemnity.
What kind of environment is restoration through indemnity ? There is no restoration through indemnity unless God and Satan collide with each other.
That's why God and Satan always confronted an individual, a family, or a nation, even in the period of Cain Abel, Noah, Abraham, Moses, or Jesus.
God and Satan confronted each other under certain conditions over the central existence of a certain mission, such as a offering, a human being, and a family, and divided whether they won or lost.
Looking at the history of such a return, from the Old Testament period to the New Testament period, it was an era in which indemnity could be reduced by setting certain conditions as a symbolic and image indemnity period,
In the last period of substantial indemnity, one nation must be indemnity on a one-on-one basis, with the substance of one nation being a nation and one nation being a nation.
This is God's historic wish. If God doesn't decide victory or defeat by Satan and such standards, he can't find the state if it's a nation, and the people if it's a nation, before God completely.
Because of this situation in God's Providence, if Korea undertakes such a mission, Korea must face a tremendous ordeal that would have cost the world if it were the world.
Therefore, democracy and communism are confronting each other in Korea. The two major camps are arguing with each other around Panmunjom, and this fact shows that the heavenly world and the satan world fight each other.
From this point of view, we are confronting Korea externally, but internally, God and Satan are fighting for the last time around historical facts, historical facts, and future facts.
By doing so, internal indemnity conditions must be established. History flows through this two-sided relationship. (17-308)
(3) The national center of the historic Cain-Abel struggle
In the Adam family, Cain was born from the standpoint of the older brother and Abel was born from the standpoint of the younger brother, but originally, the principle was that the fruit of love should be tied first around the side of heaven.
But it did not become so by depravity, and in order to recover it again, he must choose the second born brother and bring him into his position.
This is the historical course that we have done so far. Such connections developed from individuals and expanded into families, clans, ethnic groups, nations, and the world.
If we look at the democratic world and the communist world from God's point of view, the communist world has dreamed of owning the sovereignty of the world first.
He is in the position of the eldest son, who has first shaped externally on the side of Satan, what the coming Lord ought to do.
The United Church cannot unify the world unless it returns to debauchery from a later position and seeks the position of its eldest son.
This is the same for individuals, families, clans, ethnic groups, and states. We must separate everything from Cain and Abel's, and return to the eldest.
Therefore, it is a position that cannot lay the foundation of the principle unless it is a nation that has been divided into two parts. You have to be in a separate position like a offering.
Therefore, problems arise mainly in countries divided into democratic and communist camps in this world.
From a global perspective, such countries include Korea, China, Vietnam, and Germany. There will be no peace in the world unless we unify the democratic world, especially those countries that are in such a divided position, and bring the communist world to its knees and settle it. (37-297)
The Republic of Korea is now divided into north and south. If we focus on God's will, we can see that the North Korea is a Cain state and the Republic of Korea is an Abel state.
In order to become an Abel State, there must be a Cain State before the Abel State, which has already been born and is acting as an elder brother in all its systems.
That's why Abel was born now. When we look at things like this, the people are now on a mission to restore. (34-64)
South Korea and North Korea did not fight mainly in South Korea, but mainly in the world.
In order for the country to restore to life, it is necessary for the country of Cain to clash with the country of Abel, and for the country of Cain to surrender naturally in the position of hitting the country of Abel. Without doing so, the principle and rule is that the country will not be restored. (54-158)
(4) The Path the Abel Nation Should Take
We have been fighting vertically up until now, centering on Korea, but this is not the end of it all. We have been fighting up until now while enduring slander from the established churches.
The only question that remains before us now is how the Unification Church, as an Abel-type denomination, will embrace the Cain-type established churches.
If we and the established churches become one, it is not impossible for us to present a blueprint for the way this people should go and build one nation centered on God. It is possible.
If this is decided, South Korea itself will become an Abel nation. An Abel nation cannot end up as an Abel nation; it must save the Cain nation.
When we look at it from this perspective, we can conclude that the division of North and South Korea was due to God's love. It was due to God's love.
What would have happened if the Cain-like nations had been Japan or the Soviet Union? If that had happened, restoration to Cain would have been impossible.
You must understand the fact that we can restore Cain because we are the same people, divided into North and South Korea, on the basis of being the same ethnic group with the same history and roots.
The current state of this nation is the best condition for restoring Cain.
If North and South Korea are united in this way, the Republic of Korea itself will take on the form of an Abel-like nation and emerge as a Juche-based nation representing the world nations with a world-historical mission.
So what path must this Abel-like nation take? It must take the path of embracing the Cain-like nation. When embracing the Cain-like nation, it must embrace not just one nation, but three nations.
Looking at it from a Principle-based standpoint, if we embrace these three nations in this way, then all the nations of the world will automatically submit and join us.
This is the path that we, the Unification Church, must walk, but we cannot walk it alone. So where is the problem? The problem is enemies.
When the eleven brothers who had sold Joseph into slavery came to Egypt to buy grain after seven years of famine, how angry Joseph must have been when he welcomed them back. He must have thought that now was the time to get rid of their grudge.
But Joseph thought of his parents. He thought, "No matter how successful I may be in a foreign land, surely it is my brothers who have lived their lives serving my parents until now?" (30-302)
It is a blessing that the same people have been divided into North and South and are now in the position of Cain and Abel. What would have happened if they had been a different people? This is God's love.
Therefore, we should not view North Korea as our enemy, but rather love them as our fellow countrymen. We should offer prayers and devote ourselves sincerely to the liberation of 13 million of our fellow countrymen in the North. This is what we should do from now on. (34-65)
South Korea is a typical example of a country that has faced off against communism, and if they can create a standard that surpasses communism, they will become world class.
If that happens, all democratic nations will have no choice but to follow South Korea's example and the direction it is heading in. Therefore, the existence of communism will serve as a shield for unity. (85-235)
(5) Korea is a world offering nation
What kind of time is it now? It is the time when Cain and Abel are fighting. Because it is such a time, Christianity must become one with Cain.
The democratic world must also establish a standard for becoming absolutely one with the Lord who comes as Abel.
When what unfolded in Adam's family long ago comes full circle and reaches its final historical destination, and such a phenomenon occurs, it is God's will to prepare the emotional foundation centered on God and to determine the karmic bond of True Parents.
Therefore, Abel-type individuals and Abel-type families must appear in this world.
So what kind of country is an Abel nation? It is a nation that offers sacrifices to God with all its sincerity, on the foundation of Abel's battle to subjugate Cain.
And the Abel nation is a nation in which people offer everything they have before God, with life or death at stake; it is the most tragic and complicated nation in the democratic world today.
Korea is neatly divided into north and south by the 38th parallel. From the perspective of the Principle, offerings must be torn, right? That is why Korea's economic situation has become extremely difficult.
Ladies and gentlemen, when the high priest offers an offering, all must bow their heads before the altar, regardless of rank or status. Even the county governor of the country is required to bow before the atonement offering.
What the Unification Church will do from now on is to establish a standard by which the entire nation, regardless of rank or status, can bow. I believe that unless we can do this, the mission of the Unification Church cannot be completed.
What is a sacrifice? A sacrifice is something that prepares the way for death. It is not something that prepares the way for life. It is something that prepares one to one day stand with dignity on the altar of atonement for the people.
He dresses well and eats a rich diet in order to offer it sacredly, and he lives in order to offer his life sacredly.
The better the environment for the offering, the more the offering must walk the path of offering life, the path of death. The better the hospitality, the closer the day of death approaches.
Similarly, there must be a people in this world who will walk the path of such a destined offering. The Unification Church must play the role of that offering. Therefore, you must prepare to die. (15-248)
Korea is a nation of offerings. The offerings should be the 30 million people (holy of holies) and Christianity (holy place). However, because Christianity was unable to fulfill its responsibility, we must once again raise up people to be offerings among this nation.
That is why you must fulfill the mission of holy place and holy of holies. You have been chosen to fulfill this mission. (11-247)
