“이재명 대통령이 필연적인 실패의 길로 가고 있다” 등의 발언으로 친이재명계의 거센 비판을 받은 유시민씨가 “‘뉴이재명’, 그들이 하는 모든 행동은 자칭 친명들이 벌이는 난동이 아니고, 집권 직후부터 대통령과 우리가 잘 알지 못하는 어떤 참모들이 기획해서 시작한 것”이라고 주장했다.

유씨는 지난 21일 밤 유튜브 채널 ‘2분뉴스’에 출연해 “그렇게 판단해야만 하는 시점에 왔다”며 이같이 말했다.

유씨는 또 “대통령이 수사·기소의 완전한 분리를 반대하는 입장을 갖고 있고, 이를 관철하려고 지금까지 노력해온 것이라고 생각한다”며 “‘대통령이 검찰에 수사권을 남겨놓고 싶어 한다’는 가설 외에 작년 9월 이후 지금까지 검찰 개혁과 관련해 벌어진 정부의 모든 행위를 일관되게 설명할 수 있는 어떤 가설이 있을 수 있느냐”고 주장했다.

유씨는 정부가 검찰 수사권 완전 폐지와 관련해 중수청·공소청 설치법 제정과 형사소송법 개정을 한꺼번에 추진하지 않은 것도 문제라고 주장했다. 유씨는 “총리실 TF(검찰개혁추진단)는 이상한 여론조사 결과 내놓고, 도저히 납득할 수 없는 상황에서 시간을 끌었고, 형소법은 뭐 지방선거 끝나고 한다 해놓고 이제 TF 활동 종료하면서 ‘정부안이 없다. 국회에 맡기겠다’ 그래놓고, 소위 친명을 자처하는 의원들이 이상한 (보완수사권 일부 유지) 입법안을 낸다”며 “이것은 대통령의 판단이라고 봐야 할 때가 왔다. 어떻게 대통령의 의사에 반해서 이 모든 일이 일어날 수 있겠느냐”고 했다.

유씨는 “그러면 이 정부는 망하는 정부”라고 했다.

유씨는 한편 자신의 이재명 정부 비판에 친명계가 반발하는 상황과 관련해 “아무리 품질 좋은 생선을 갖다 파는 어물전도 비린내는 나기 마련”이라며 “그걸 어떤 비판도 가하지 않고 어떤 제한도 두지 않고 내버려두면 모든 어물전은 다 썩은내를 풍기게 돼 있다”고 했다. 그러면서 “후각이 예민한 사람이 말을 해야 한다”고 했다.

유씨는 “누가 ‘생선 비린내가 약간 이상한데’ 할 때 ‘너 이 새끼, 우리 어물전 명예를 훼손하고 있어’부터 시작해 가지고 ‘너, 나를 뭘로 보는 거야?’ 이렇게 하기 시작해서 쫓아내버리고 아무도 그 말을 못하게 되면 썩은내가 나는 것”이라고도 했다.
