이것은 모두 불법적인 자금거래였고 나는 반대했고 거래를 중단했다. 그때가 내 생명이 위협받았고 고객 자금의 불법 사용을 중지하고 허용하라는 지시를 받은 때였다. 나는 옳은 일을 하지 않으면 죽겠다는 의지로 응수했다. 그 당시 나는 두려움 없이 아주 건강했지만 그 위협은 현실이었고 나 자신뿐만 아니라 아내와 아기 아들에게도 위험했기 때문에 지혜가 부족했다.
