나는 오늘을 사는 함의 후손들을 본다

(렘17:1-11)
1 "Judah's sin is engraved with an iron tool, inscribed with a flint point, on the tablets of their hearts and on the horns of their altars.  2 Even their children remember their altars and Asherah poles beside the spreading trees and on the high hills.  3 My mountain in the land and your wealth and all your treasures I will give away as plunder, together with your high places, because of sin throughout your country.  4 Through your own fault you will lose the inheritance I gave you. I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever."  5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.  6 He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.  7 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.  8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."  9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?  10 "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."  11 Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay is the man who gains riches by unjust means. When his life is half gone, they will desert him, and in the end he will prove to be a fool.  


오늘의 말씀은 바벨론의 침략을 앞둔 이스라엘 민족들에 대한 말씀이지만
나는 함의 후손들을 생각한다
함의 경솔함과 불경함 그리고 어리석음 때문에 받은 저주
그 결과로 4~5천년에 걸친 저주받음에 의해
갈수록 사막화(砂漠化)의 진행 속도가 더해가는 아프리카 민족들의 땅덩어리...

이른비와 늦은 비를 고루 내려주신다면
대부분의 땅들은 농사를 지을 수 있는 땅들...
하지만 듬성등성 있는 나무들조차
저들의 생계를 위하여 잘라 숯을 만들어 팔다보니
더욱 황폐해져감이 가속화 되어가는 현실...

저들을 회개회개하게 도와 주어야 하는데...
하나님의 말씀인 성경
그 속에 들어 있는 저주극복의 비밀을 알려주어
저들이 스스로 하나님 앞에 회개회개(悔改回改)하도록 도와 주어야 하는데...

그래서 하나님의 용서(容恕)가 있고
그럼으로써 저주의 늪에서 빠져나와
기후가 정상화 되어 
사막에 샘이 넘쳐나리라~~~라는 찬양을 올려 드리는 나라가 되어야 하는데...

사명감은 있지만
엄두가 나지를 않는다
하지만 주님께서 이끄시고 미신다면
내 할 수 있는 일을 해야 하겠지... 하는 마음을 갖는다.
