샘물도 내게 주소서 하매 갈렙이 윗샘과 아랫샘을 그에게 주었더라                                                                                       (수15:1~19)  수15:1   유다 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 제비 뽑은 땅의 극남단은 에돔 지경에 이르고 또 남으로 신 광야까지라Jos15:1   This then was the lot of the trbe of the children fo Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.수15:2   그 남편 경계는 염해의 극단 곧 남향한 해만에서부터Jos15:2   And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:수15:3   아그랍빔 비탈 남편으로 지나 신에 이르고 가데스 바네아 남편으로 올라가서 헤스론을 지나며 아달로 올라가서 돌이켜 갈가에 이르고Jos15:3   And it went out to the south side to maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:수15:4   거기서 아스몬에 이르고 애굽 시내에 미치며 바다에 이르러 경계의 끝이 되나니 이것이 너희 남편 경계가 되리라Jos15:4   From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.수15:5   그 동편 경계는 염해니 요단 끝까지요 그 북편 경계는 요단 끝에 당한 해만에서부터Jos15:5   And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the uttermost part of Jordan:수15:6   벧호글라로 올라가서 벧 아라바 북편을 지나 르우벤 자손 보한의 돌에 이르고Jos15:6    And the border went up to Bethhogla, and passed along by the north of Betharabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:수15:7   또 아골 골짜기에서부터 드빌을 지나 북으로 올라가서 강 남편에 있는 아둠밈 비탈 맞은편 길갈을 향하고 나아가 엔 세메스 물을 지나 엔로겔에 이르며Jos15:7   And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:수:15:8   또 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기로 올라가서 여부스 곧 예루살렘 남편 어깨에 이르며 또 힌놈의 골짜기 앞 서편에 있는 산꼭대기로 올라가나니 이 곳은 르바임 골짜기 북편 끝이며Jos15:8   And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:수15:9   또 이 산 꼭대기에서부터 넵도아 샘물까지 이르러 에브론산 성읍들에 미치고 또 바알라 곧 기럇 여아림에 미치며Jos15:9   And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim:수15:10   또 바알라에서부터 서편으로 돌이켜 세일산에 이르러 여아림산 곧 그살론 곁 북편에 이르고 또 세메스로 내려가서 딤나로 지나고Jos15:10   And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on the Timnah:수15:11   또 에그론 북편으로 나아가 식그론에 이르러 바알라산에 미치고 얍느엘에 이르나니 그끝은 바다며Jos15:11   And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.수15:12   서편 경계는 대해와 그 해변이니 유다 자손이 그 가족대로 얻은 사면 경계가 이러하니라Jos15:12   And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.수15:13   여호와께서 여호수아에게 명하신대로 여호수아가 기럇 아르바 곧 헤브론 성을 유다 자손중에서 분깃으로 여분네의 아들 갈렙에게 주었으니 아르바는 아낙의 아비였더라Jos15:13   And unto caleb the son of Jephunn도 he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.수15:14   갈렙이 거기서 아낙의 소생 곧 그 세 아들 세새와 아히만과 달매를 쫓아내었고Jos15:14   And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.수15:15   거기서 올라가서 드빌 거민을 쳤는데 드빌의 본 이름은 기럇 세벨이라Jos15:15   And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher.수15:16   갈렙이 말하기를 기럇 세벨을 쳐서 그것을 취하는 자에게는 내가 내 딸 악사를 아내로 주리라 하였더니Jos15:16   And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kijathsepher, and tateth it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.수15:17   갈렙의 아우요 그나스의 아들인 옷니엘이 그것을 취함으로 갈렙이 그 딸 악사를 그에게 아내로 주었더라Jos15:17   And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.수15:18   악사가 출가할 때에 그에게 청하여 자기 아비에게 밭을 구하자 하고 나귀에서 내리매 갈렙이 그에게 묻되 네가 무엇을 원하느냐Jos15:18   And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?수15:19   가로되 내게 복을 주소서 아버지께서 나를 남방 땅으로 보내시오니 샘물도 내게 주소서 하매 갈렙이 윗샘과 아랫샘을 그에게 주었더라수15:20   유다 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이러하니라  * 여호수아가 취한 땅 1. 요단 동쪽 땅르우벤, 갓, 므낫세 반 지파가 받았습니다.2. 가나안 정복여리고, 아이, 남부 가나안, 북부 가나안 등을 정복했습니다.3. 각 지파의 기업으로 분배유다, 에브라임, 므낫세, 베냐민 등 각 지파에게 땅을 나누어 주었습니다.    그리고 하나님의 질서에 따라서 45년 전에 하나님께서 약속하신 땅을 갈렙의 나이 85세에 여호수아에게 받아서 취하게 됩니다. 그후 갈렙이 받은 땅은 헤브론인데 그곳에는 아낙자손이라는 거인처럼 매우 크고 강한 사람들이었지만 믿음으로 그들과 싸워서 그 땅에서 쫓아내었습니다. 민수기13:33 거기서 네피림 후손인 아낙 자손의 거인들을 보았나니..    갈렙은 여전히 많은 시간이 흘렀음에도 불구하고 그는 하나님께 대한 믿음과 신뢰를 통하여 보여지는 현실보다 하나님을 더욱 크게 보는 믿음의 사람이었음을 알게 됩니다.
