1 Corinthians Commentary Chapter 2 (3)
Just as Paul emphasized the importance of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the Corinthian church, which was rich in the gifts of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, the Korean church, which cries out for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, must also properly explain the doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
As a result, the eschatology has become clouded, and now pseudo-believers, who are not even heretics, have been deceived by earlier fraudsters and are now defrauding souls with crude doctrines that they have cleverly combined?
Of course, those who are deceived have reasons to be deceived, and only when they are deceived can the true church appear.
However, if the doctrine of the Holy Spirit is not properly conveyed, the doctrine of the church, the doctrine of Christ, the doctrine of salvation, and even the doctrine of the Bible will be shaken.
Therefore, the church must learn the secret of being filled with the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit that Paul spoke of.
1 Corinthians 2:12 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."
There are the spirit of the world and the spirit of God.
The spirit of the world is a spirit of deception.
It is human wisdom and a philosophical trick.
Recently, there have been many people who say that they can have spiritual experiences without going through the message of the cross of Christ.
They say that this is a universal and easy general method of salvation that is not as extreme as the doctrine of Christianity, and this is a very dangerous belief.
Various meditation centers are such places.
For example, breathing, body exercise, or mental concentration.
When the body's energy comes out through such things and phenomena such as divine healing appear, they say that it is the work of the Holy Spirit.
However, God only lets us know His grace through the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit lets us know Christ, and Christ makes us have fellowship with God in Him, thereby confirming and progressing in salvation.
If you do not know this mystery of Christ, you cannot defeat the miscellaneous spirits of deception in the world that approach you with pluralistic and pantheistic theories.
From the world's perspective, it seems like a human victory over God that is worth cheering for.
However, if you say that you must die and live again in Christ, all those who are not in the grace of Christ's redemption will hate you.
Rather, they will hate and even persecute those who are sanctified by the truth.
Verse 13 "Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
"Which things also we speak": The teaching of men is like the teaching of Balaam (Rev. 2:13) and the teaching of demons (1 Tim. 4:1). Only the teaching of the Holy Spirit is the teaching of Christ. (2 John 9)
Therefore, a spiritual person must have spiritual discernment.
While Korean churches emphasize faith, American churches place discernment of spirits above faith.
To that extent, discerning whether a spirit belongs to God is very important, and the first step is to discern whether it is a spirit that belongs to God or an anti-Christ spirit that opposes Christ, depending on whether or not one believes and accepts that Christ is in him. (1 John 4:2-3)
Verse 14 "But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
There are those who are called Christians but are natural, that is, soulish.
This is the life of a natural man who follows the lineage of Adam (living soul).
He is a person who only knows the life of the flesh (bios) or the life of the soul (pushke)
He is the one who does not know the life of the spirit (zoe).
These people see the Spirit of God as foolish and do not understand its work.
No, they do not have the ability to understand.
They are completely incapable and unable to communicate in the spiritual world.
Therefore, we can distinguish the world of the spirit and the world of the flesh through the presence or absence of the Holy Spirit.
In fact, being spiritual means living according to the Holy Spirit, being devilish means being human, and living according to common sense is just being devilish.
Therefore, we must always be awake and check whether we belong to Adam or to Christ.
This also applies only to those who believe and acknowledge that I, who was in Adam, was transferred into Christ through the death and resurrection of the Lord. This word is not heard by those who are of the soul.
Verse 15 "He that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man."
The statement that the spiritual judges all things does not mean that he is the judge, but only that he is not deceived.
Many people tend to show off their knowledge of the truth and judge others.
We must not forget that the Bible does not say that these people are spiritual.
A spiritual person is one who knows the boundary between light and darkness, life and death, and knows that he has been transferred from darkness and death into Christ, the light and life, through the cross of Christ.
He also listens to others and knows whether they know the road map to God the Father, and he have a measuring line measures the distance to the throne of grace.
That is why a spiritual person is judged by no one and is not deceived by anyone.
To those who say that they will be among the 144,000 or that they will set up the tabernacle of the testimony and live eternally, he asks, "Where is Christ for you and when will salvation come?"
That means he already knows clearly where they are.
So he tells their leader that if he dies now, he will go to the lake of fire.
That means he too is deceived and deceived, and then he deceives others with the spirit of deception.
In the end, the spirit of deception is negative, but those who will be deceived will become deceived and enter the lake of fire together, so that the garbage can be burned.
On that side, death, the devil, the antichrist, and the false prophet faithfully do the work assigned to them.
That is why the spiritual person discerns everything, but those who are deceived become deceived.
Verse 16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
They declare that they have the mind of Christ.
"Who can be one with the Lord and draw him?" No one can.
But we only have the mind of Christ in the Holy Spirit.
Only through the Holy Spirit, we know Christ and Christ knows us, and in a spiritual state, we have fellowship with Him, so that our problems gradually disappear and we continue to develop and grow in Him until we reach him.
