I’m Clarissa from Fairview International School Penang. My artwork, “MAN,” explores the complexity of human emotions, showcasing the horrors of consciousness through a decomposing man curled up in a pool of his own feelings. It reflects the idea that the gift of life comes with the price of suffering. Using graphite and charcoal, I aimed to capture this raw intensity.</p><p>Through “MAN,” I hope viewers understand that life is tough, but challenges pave the way to growth and success. Just like my IB journey, setbacks and struggles require patience, discipline, and perseverance.
