  Therefore let all Israel be assured of this : God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.

  Thoughts on Today's Verse

  More than titles, these two names of Jesus are the pillars around which we can build our new lives in God's Kingdom.

Jesus is Lord! He is our Ruler and King. He is our Master and Teacher. Our hearts are yielded to his will and open to his

leading. We hold no rival to Jesus in our hearts and lives. Jesus is the Christ! He is the Messiah, the promised Savior of

the Old Testament. He is the one of whom the prophets spoke. Ruler and Savior, Master and Messiah, Jesus is God's gift to bring us home. Jesus is the one who went to the Cross to bring us forgiveness, redemption, and salvation.

The Crucified One is both Lord and Christ.

  (주님과 그리스도라는) 예수님을 일컫는 두 이름은 하나님 나라의 지주와 같아서, 그 둘레에 우리의 새 생명을 지어나갈 수 있게 해줍니다. 예수님은 주님이십니다! 그분은 우리의 통치자이시며 왕이십니다. 우리의 주인이시며 선생님이십니다. 우리의 마음은 그분의 뜻 앞에 내려놓았고, 그분의 인도하심에 열어 놓았습니다. 우리 마음과 삶 속에서 예수님에 견줄 만한 그 어떤 경쟁자도 없다고 생각합니다. 예수님은 그리스도이십니다! 그는 메시아이시며, 구약 성서에서 약속하셨던 구원자이십니다. 선지자들이 말해왔던 바로 그분입니다. 통치자이시며 구원자이시요, 주인이시며 메시아이신 예수님은 우리를 하나님의 집으로 이끄시는 하나님의 선물입니다. 우리에게 용서와 대속과 구원을 주시기 위해 십자가로 걸어가신 분이 예수님이십니다. 십자가에 못박히신 이분이 바로 주님이시며 그리스도이십니다.

  My Prayer

We praise your mighty Name, O Lord, and thank you for your gracious and sacrificial love. We praise you dear Father, for sending your Son Jesus to die for our sins and to be raised for our hope and salvation. Please help me, Sovereign God, to yield my heart to Jesus my Lord as well as open my lips in praise to the Christ of my salvation. In the mighty name Jesus and through the intercession of the Spirit I pray. Amen.

오! 주님의 전지전능하신 이름을 우리가 찬양드리며 주님의 은혜롭고 희생하시는 사랑으로 인해 감사를 올려 드립니다. 사랑하는 아버지, 아버지의 독생자 예수님을 보내셔서 우리의 죄 대신에 그를 죽게 하셨고, 우리의 소망과 구원이 되시라고 다시 일으켜 살리셨습니다. 전능하신 하나님, 나의 주님 예수님께 제 마음을 내어 맡기고 또한 구원하시는 그리스도께 제 입술을 열어 찬송하도록 도우시옵소서. 권능의 이름 예수님의 이름으로, 또한 성령의 중보하심을 통하여 기도합니다. 아멘.
