(렘36:1-10)
1 In the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD:  2 "Take a scroll and write on it all the words I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah and all the other nations from the time I began speaking to you in the reign of Josiah till now.  3 Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, each of them will turn from his wicked way; then I will forgive their wickedness and their sin."  4 So Jeremiah called Baruch son of Neriah, and while Jeremiah dictated all the words the LORD had spoken to him, Baruch wrote them on the scroll.  5 Then Jeremiah told Baruch, "I am restricted; I cannot go to the LORD'S temple.  6 So you go to the house of the LORD on a day of fasting and read to the people from the scroll the words of the LORD that you wrote as I dictated. Read them to all the people of Judah who come in from their towns.  7 Perhaps they will bring their petition before the LORD, and each will turn from his wicked ways, for the anger and wrath pronounced against this people by the LORD are great."  8 Baruch son of Neriah did everything Jeremiah the prophet told him to do; at the LORD'S temple he read the words of the LORD from the scroll.  9 In the ninth month of the fifth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, a time of fasting before the LORD was proclaimed for all the people in Jerusalem and those who had come from the towns of Judah.  10 From the room of Gemariah son of Shaphan the secretary, which was in the upper courtyard at the entrance of the New Gate of the temple, Baruch read to all the people at the LORD'S temple the words of Jeremiah from the scroll.

다윗과 요나단
바울과 바나바를 생각한다면
예레미야와 바룩의 관계는 그와 견줄 수 있겠다 싶다

예레미야는 베냐민땅 아나돗 곧 제사장의 성읍 출신
바룩은 예루살렘 출신이면서 제사장 가문 출신
태어난 곳은 달랐지만
상당한 절친(切親)이었음을 알게 된다

다윗의 경우에도 
바울의 경우에도
예레미야의 때 역시 당시 상황에 그와 함께...그리고 절친(切親)의 관계를 유지한다는 것은
특별각별(特別各別) 헤아릴 수 없는 용기(勇氣)가 없이는 불가능(不可能)

바룩은 그런 인물(人物)
그런 친구(親舊)
그런 벗 이 있다는 것은
행복(幸福)이며 19세기 미국의 초월주의(Transcendentalism) 운동을 대표하는 인물로, 인간의 자율성과 내적 성장을 강조한 “인생에서 제대로 된 친구 하나만 있어도 성공한 것이다.”라고 말한 에머슨 말처럼 성공한 인물이라 말 할 수 있을 것 같다

신탁(神託)을 받은 예레미야를 통한 메시지를 적고
하나님의 말씀대로 성전에서 백성들 앞에서 
예레미야를 대신해서 선포(宣布)
당시 상황을 보면 크게 곤란(困難) 혹은 위험(危險)하였음에도 불구하고 보인 그의 모습은 참으로 온전한 영성(靈性) 공의(公義) 정의(正義) 과단성(果斷性)까지 보게 된다

오늘은 이들을 통해
나는 어떤 사람인가...를 생각하게 된다
내게는 과연 바룩과 같은 친구가 있을까?
나는 과연 예레미야 같은 사람일까?

좋은 친구
좋은 벗은 있음이 맞는 것 같은데...
내가 나를 생각하면
나는 그리 썩 좋은 사람은 되지 못하는 것 같다는 생각...씁쓸~~~하다!

(요15:14-15)
“너희는 내가 명하는 대로 행하면 곧 나의 친구라  
이제부터는 너희를 종이라 하지 아니하리니 종은 주인이 하는 것을 알지 못함이라 
너희를 친구라 하였노니 내가 내 아버지께 들은 것을 다 너희에게 알게 하였음이라”  

예수님께도
그리 좋은 답을 드릴 수 없는 나는
