[밀부르가]

혼인잔치를 벌이다    Wedding Feast

19 라구엘은 아내에게 빵을 많이 장만하라고 이른 다음, 가축 떼가 있는 곳으로 가서 황소 두 마리와 숫양 네 마리를 끌고 와서는, 그것들을 잡으라고 분부하였다. 그리하여 잔치 준비가 시작되었다.

    He asked his wife to bake many loaves of bread; he himself went out to the herd and brought two steers and four rams, which he ordered to be slaughtered. So they began to prepare the feast.

20 라구엘은 또 토비야를 불러 말하였다. "너는 열나흘 동안 이곳을 뜨지 말고 여기에 머무르면서 나와 함께 먹고 마셔야 한다. 그리고 그동안 괴로움에 시달려 온 내 딸의 마음을 기쁘게 해 주어야 한다.

   He summoned Tobiah and said to him, "For  fourteen days you shall not stir from here, but shall remain here eating and drinking with me; you shall bring joy to my daughter's afflicted spirit. 

21 내가 가진 것에서 먼저 절반을 받고 네 아버지께 건강한 몸으로 돌아가거라. 나머니 절반은 나와 내 아내가 죽은 다음에 너희 차지가 될 것이다. 얘야, 용기를 내어라. 나는 네 아버지고 아드나는 네 어머니다. 우리는 너와 네 아내 곁에 있을 것이다. 지금부터 영원히 그러할 것이다. 얘야, 용기를 내어라."

  Now take half of what I own here; go back in good health to your father. The other half will be yours when I and my wife die. Take courage, son! I am your father, and Edna is your mother; we belong to you and to your sister both now and forever. So take courage, son!"
