Josh's Idiom 2 - Dime a Dozen |
|
| 2. “A dime a dozen”
Example: M: What do you think of that shirt over there? W: That shirt is not what I’m looking for. I’m looking for something new, that shirt is a dime a dozen, you see it everywhere. M: Okay, what about that red shirt with pink and burgundy stripes? M: I said I want something new and unique not ugly!
Definition: common, normal, ordinary or regular. Explanation: A dime is 10 and a dozen is 12. So a dime a dozen means 10 out of 12, which means it is common, not unique.
Please use the idiom
“dime
a dozen”
and try to make two sentences.
I will correct your mistakes if there are
any. :-)
