Hi my name is Rai!
Last June 2025 with the support of Domestic Travel Subsidy I went to the peaceful little town of Noboribetsu in Hokkaido.
Now brew some tea or get yourself a cup of coffee( or hot cocoa!) and please enjoy my treasured gallery!
I really love how pink the Airplane of Peach looks! Got a free candy too!
So, to those people who are wondering my Itinerary for the 1 day looks like this:
6:15 Arrived at the Narita Airport Terminal 1 and checked in for my flight via online
7:45 Departed from NRT
9:35 Arrived at CTS
10:32 From新千歳空港国内線Bus Stop No. 29(ANA側) and took the Express Bus(高速バス-予約制) to Noboribets Eki Mae(登別駅前【ヌプル前】)
11:36 Arrived at Noboribets Eki Mae(登別駅前【ヌプル前】)
Got off from the bus and entered Nupur| Noboritsu City Tourism Exchange Center( ヌプㇽ|登別市観光交流センター) and bought another bus ticket from the machine
11:40 Departed from Noboritsu Eki mae (took the bus from a different bus station the one right in front of Nupur| Noboritsu City Tourism Exchange Center NOT the one where I got off from)
11:56 第一滝本前
Noboribetsu Onsen Terminal Bus Stop.
Here you can buy the discounted Noboribetsu Bear Park Ticket for 1800yen.
If you buy the ticket at the Park, you will have to pay the Original Price which is 2000yen.
You will be able to see demon statues and wood carvings everywhere!
Retro Cafe in the middle of the town
Another Retro Styled Souvenir Shop
During the show, you will see its face changes
Whatcha staring at??
This place is called 道産子ぷりん【スープカレーとプリンのお店】登別温泉ランチ・スイーツ(北海道登別市登別温泉町/地獄谷)
A fusion of restaurant and cafe!
They have different varieties of Japanese Pudding to choose from!
Dango Pudding
I highly recommend their Lamb Soup Curry!
It was a hearty meal :)
Their Puddings comes in an egg shape cup.
I chose something simple to get the taste of the local pudding
After Lunch,
The entrance to my accommodation, Adex Inn.
The Lobby
My Room
The Outside View 1
The Outside View 2
A few minutes walk from my accommodation, there’s a stair that will lead you to a cable car that will take you to the entrance of Noboribetsu Bear Park.
My companion for the ride <3
The Breathtaking View as you ascend!
If you are lucky enough, you will able to see a glimpse of this bear inside the cable cart :3
Inside the Park, you can check out some artifacts of Ainu and how they lived centuries ago just like how you and I do today.
The place where the Ainu called Home.
The Boat they used to sail throughout the sea.
And of course, bears.
A lot of people might say it’s animal cruelty but based on my observation they are well taken cared of.
Just looking at its face makes me wanna hug one and boop its nose and squish its ears.
Bear cubs
Nobody will ever believe me when I’ll tell them that my very first gambling experience was a Duck Race.
Near the entrance of the park, take the escalator and it will take you to this magnificent view of Lake Kuttara.
Due to the repeated volcanic activities during the ancient times around 45000 to 80000 years ago, it resulted in the formation of the 3-km- diameter Kuttara Caldera
After the Bear Park, I went to 甘味 日和堂 to get some snacks! I love their Monaka Anko Butter!
Jigokudani
Since it’s summer, they don’t produce that misty like atmosphere to give that mysterious vibe.
But you can definitely see every detail of the beauty in it
Near my accommodation, there’s a Hotel called
第一滝本館 (the buildings at the right side)
Inside there’s a huge onsen you can relax your body from walking all day!
Guests staying at the Adex Inn or 第一滝本館, have a free access to the onsen!
Mini Sulfur pond
Oyunuma Lookout
If you hike a little bit through the Oyunuma Nature Trail, you’ll be able to see the Oyunuma Pond from the observation deck.
If you feel a little brave you can go check the Jigokudani during the night!
This is the free breakfast that I got from the place I stayed in! If you want more, they have different varieties of bread that you can buy to eat!
It maybe far but I highly recommend Noboribetsu to your next trip!
The view, the atmosphere, the onsen, the food is amazing and the people here are accommodating and kind. It will definitely help the locals living here by appreciating the things they offer for the future travelers.
Thank you so much for taking your time to read my little travel blog!
I’ll see you again in my next one!
