​(1)기수와 서수를 읽는 법~>서수 앞에는 보통 the를 쓴다.

참고 : 수의 단위인 hundred, thousand, million, billion, trillion ​

      등은 그 앞에 복수의 수가 붙어도 복수형으로 하지 않는다.

참고 : 수의 단위인 hundred, thousand, million 등이  복수형

        으로 쓰이면 ｢수백｣, ｢수천｣, ｢수백만｣의 뜻을 갖는다.

        Thousands of people live near the lake.    

        (수천 명의 사람들이 그 호수 근처에 산다.)
