○ A Car Accident Dog was Falsified as an Edible Dog that had been Hammered at a Slaughterhouse. And That Dog was Manipulated as Running Away to Feed Its Puppy, and then They Petitioned it to President to Ban Dog Meat.

  A scarred mother dog in a car accident in Thailand was reported to be nursing her baby.

  The animal group turned it into something that happened in our country. At the slaughterhouse, a butcher tried to kill the dog with a hammer, but the dog ran away after being hit by hammer. It was manipulated that the dog had been nursing its young while dying. And that was posted on the bulletin board of the President's National Petition, and 220,000 people signed it, deceiving the President.

  Eventually, it was falsely reported in MBC News, and the Blue House also announced that "Thailand's traffic accident was turned into a Gunpo dog hammer."

○ They Manipulated that there was Antibiotic in the Dog Meat

  Korean Animal Welfare Associate distributed a press release that dog meat was covered with antibiotics, but the Animal Freedom Alliance which analyzed antibiotics had no qualifications and ability for analysis or professional manpower. Although they even said that only the legal limit was below the limit, they misled it with the term "antibiotic blanket."

  Dogs are strong and immune, so they do not use antibiotics because dogs do not get sick even though they eat spoiled food. Only cattle with hooves, pigs, horses, and deer get mad cow disease, but dogs are irrelevant.      In addition to mad cow disease, other livestock and poultry get foot-and-mouth disease, Brucella, cholera, and avian influenza, which cost them trillions of won each year. And though there is a wave of slaughtering tens of millions of dogs in advance, dogs do not get such infectious diseases.

○ Manipulation of Raising Edible Dogs by Abusing Them

   Animal groups manipulate edible dogs to be abused and unsanitary.

  However, raising dogs by maltreatment leads them to be stressed. So their business is apt to fail down because dogs do not grow, and have babies, but die.

  Animal abuses are abandoning a dog, capturing an abandoned dog and euthanizing it in 20 days in an abandoned dog shelter, neutering surgery to remove the genitals, operating vocal chord surgery because of its being loud, and breeding small and pretty to reduce natural survival.

○ They Don't Protect Endangered Animals

  As there are too many dogs, about 100,000 dogs are abandoned a year, while being raised. Animal groups say that the abandoned dogs to be left behind should only be protected, and they do not care about protecting endangered animals. This is because donations are not collected since the media and the public are not interested in endangered animals.

○ Making Money by Rescuing a Robbed or a Stolen Dog

  Animal groups break into edible dog farms and deprive or buy dogs at low prices by threatening owners with "violation of law, fine, and imprisonment, etc.." They turn the dog into a rescue dog and raise donations by lying that dogs were rescued dramatically right before the slaughter. The media reports falsehoods provided by animal groups like a fact.

  The robbed dogs are sold to a foreign animal organization that is carrying out a large donation project, giving it the image of a "barbaric state." A foreign organization that buys it and uses it as a donation reward in the same way, and then euthanizes the dog.

  In 2016, Monthly Chosun reported that the Korean Animal Welfare Associate, Jeonnam drug investigation teams, and broadcasting stations rescued dogs from legal dog farms without warrants, searched the delivery room, left 100 baby dogs died by killing mother dogs. And they robbed dogs with intimidation, turning the sick and entrusted ones for treatment into "abusive dogs,"

  The broadcast manipulated and directed numerous things, and spoiled the personality of a helpless farmer's grandmother. Eventually, the broadcasting station was advised to report corrections. After the broadcast, the district office staff who came out of the investigation wondered why the problem occurred in spite of its cleanliness.

○ Pet Dogs and Jindo Dogs are also Manipulated to Eat

  In Korea, pet dogs are not to be eaten. However, animal groups manipulate pet dogs to be eaten, too. Pet dogs are small and not commercially available, so they are not edible, and large foreign dogs are not distributed because they do not taste good. They are improved and raised separately.

  The photos and videos of dogs rescued by animal groups are not those of edible dogs, but those of miscellaneous dogs and pet dogs. Animal groups say that they have rescued dogs from the slaughterhouse by turning the stolen miscellaneous dogs and pets into edible dogs, while engaging in donation business.

  Animal groups claim to catch Jindo dogs, but it is legally impossible.

  Jindo dog is designated as Natural Monument No. 53 and is strongly protected.

  According to the "Korea Jindo Dog Protection and Development Act", when a Jindo dog gives birth to a baby in Jindo, those which are not pure blood are selected, leaked to the land, and only pure ones are left in Jindo.

  Those that are not pure-blooded on land can be eaten. However, their appearance looks like that of Jindo dog.

The real Jindo dog is a natural monument and cannot be used for food because it is expensive.

○ Dog Meat is Manipulated to be Harmful to the Body

  There is no one who does not know that dog meat is a pure elixir, and there are numerous literatures, papers, and experiences that prove it. So, no matter how much they are told not to eat, people are eating.

  In order to prevent dog meat from being eaten, animal groups say, "Dog meat is bad for the body," "It's bad for the head," "There's a lot of cholesterol," "What paper says 00 is bad," "You get mad cow disease," "It's harmful because you raise it dirty," and "It's full of antibiotics." But there ares no basis and no paper for them.

  When experts say one or two words in their favor, it seems that people are serving them as gods, but there are no scholars who specialize in dog meat other than professor Ahn. Therefore, such claims are the ones which have not been verified.

○ Manipulating to Raise Edible dogs with Food Waste

  Animal groups say that dog farms raise dogs unsanitary with rotten garbage. However, that doesn't happen because if they are raised with such food, the dogs will get sick and die. They are raised with nutritious leftover food and by-products of slaughter.

○ A Denunciation of Academic Research

  Professor Ann Yong-Geun is the only scholar in the world that has specialized in dog meat.

  Others do not research, for they are likely to be spoken ill of by group of young students rushing upon like a swarm of bees. Scholars do not research dog meat because they are so hurt by their pride that they cannot stand it.

  Some Western researchers have published papers suggesting that dogs be exported to food countries or for food because their hygiene and handling problems are serious. However, they are not criticized. This is because it is an academic result.

  If the opposition to eating dog meat is logical and persuasive, there is no need for swearing. You can refute it by writing a thesis.

  Since Ann has written papers and books based on numerous evidences, one should read Ann's books and papers to criticize him.

   If one reads these books, one can see how absurd his opposition to dog meat is.

  Some scholars are not experts, and there are those who sympathize with unfounded claims, agitate, and criticize the concerned persons regardless of their right or wrong, pretending to know about it.

  The serious point is that there are even scholars who compare dogs to humans and find ethics and morality in dogs.

  The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs does not appoint dog meat scholars for the deliberation of the policies even at The End of Dog Eating Committee. Many proponents are commissioned to induce approval.
