Just when you think you know something,

you have to look at it in another way.

Even though it may seem silly or wrong,

you must try.

Now when you read,

don't just consider what the author thinks.

Consider what you think.   

Boys, you must strive to find your own voice.

The longer you wait to begin,

the less likely you'll find it at all.

Thoreau said,

"Most men live lives of quiet desperation."

Don't be resigned to that. Break out.

Don't just walk off the edge like lemmings.

Look arounds you.

Dare to strike out and find new ground.

어떤 사실을 안다고 생각할 땐 그것을 다른 시각에서 봐라.
틀리고 바보 같은 일일 지라도 시도를 해봐야 해.
책을 읽을 때  저자의 생각만 고려하지 말고
너희들의 생각도 고려해 보도록 해.
너희들의 목소리를 찾을 수 있도록 투쟁해야 해.
늦게 시작할수록 찾기가 더 힘들 것이다.
쏘로우는 '대부분의 사람들이 절망적으로 산다고 했다' 그렇게 물러나지 마라.
내려와. 그냥 그렇게 가장자리만  빙빙 돌지만 말고 주위를 둘러봐라.
과감하게 부딪쳐 새로운 세계를 찾아라.

요즘 교육 현실에 필요한 내용이네요.
너무나 획일화 되어 자신의 생각은 좀처럼 찾아보기 힘들죠.
자신만의 생각과 느낌도 표현할 줄 아는 학생들이 많았으면해요
