1. Double agent implicated in Afghan suicide bombing
A double agent has been blamed for a suicide bombing in Afghanistan that claimed the lives of seven CIA agents. The bomber, a Jordanian doctor, had been recruited by his country's intelligence service to go undercover and get information on al Qaeda. According to U.S. reports, he had lured a group of agents into a room in Forward Operating Base Chapman by saying that he had new information about al-Qaeda's leaders. The bomber, who has been identified as Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, 36, also took out his handler when he detonated the bomb he was carrying. He reportedly had been tasked with gathering information about the terrorist group's number two man Ayman al-Zawahiri. Officials within the CIA, in response to questions about how he could get into the base with the explosive, said that informants often don't get thoroughly searched, so the organization can gain their trust.

Those with offices in the building likely hope the company has not bitten off more than it can chew, as there are approximately 24,000 windows on the building. The company, Cox Gomyl, won't only be using elbow grease to get the windows sparkling; machines will also be employed. ABC News quoted a company representative as saying, "People focus on the height of the building ... but really the breadth and width of the building is just huge when you're standing next to it." The tower was originally known as the Burj Dubai, but was renamed at the last minute to honour the president of the United Arab Emirates, and ruler of Abu Dhabi, which helped Dubai with a massive bailout that allow it to avoid financial disaster.
