바벨론의 신들과 그들에 대한 심판예정예언(審判豫定豫言)

(렘51:41-49)
41 "How Sheshach will be captured, the boast of the whole earth seized! What a horror Babylon will be among the nations!  42 The sea will rise over Babylon; its roaring waves will cover her.  43 Her towns will be desolate, a dry and desert land, a land where no one lives, through which no man travels.  44 I will punish Bel in Babylon and make him spew out what he has swallowed. The nations will no longer stream to him. And the wall of Babylon will fall.  45 "Come out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the LORD.  46 Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land; one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.  47 For the time will surely come when I will punish the idols of Babylon; her whole land will be disgraced and her slain will all lie fallen within her.  48 Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon, for out of the north destroyers will attack her," declares the LORD.  49 "Babylon must fall because of Israel's slain, just as the slain in all the earth have fallen because of Babylon.  

바벨론에는 7종(種)의 우상(偶像)이 있는 것으로 알려졌다
① 마르둑(Marduk, Bel): 바벨론의 주신, 권세와 질서의 상징
② 이슈타르(Ishtar): 사랑과 전쟁의 여신
③ 나부(Nabu): 지혜와 기록의 신
④ 네르갈(Nergal): 전쟁과 저승의 신
⑤ 엔릴(Enlil): 공기와 폭풍의 신
⑥ 샤마쉬(Shamash): 태양과 정의의 신
⑦ 에아(Ea, Enki): 물과 지혜의 신

이 중 오늘 본문에 나타나는 신은 ① 번으로 마르둑=Bell 인 것으로 나타나 있다
44절 ‘I will punish Bel in Babylon and make him spew out what he has swallowed.’
삼킨 것을 토해낸다는 그 표현은
바벨론의 멸망과 함께 이스라엘의 귀환(歸還)을 의미하는 것으로
이 또한 하나님의 작품
하나님이 바로 우주천리만상(宇宙天理萬象)과 역사(歷史)의 주관자(主管者)이심의 메시지를 담은 표현이라 할 것이다

나-가정-교회-국가-세계
모든 것이 혼돈으로 가고 있는 이때
하지만 인간이 할 수 있는 일은 허술하기 이를 데 없고
이란격석(以卵擊石)
하지만 우리의 하나님이 하나님이시라서 얼마다 다행인가
우리가 기도하면 
하나님의 은혜은총긍휼자비복(恩惠恩寵矜恤慈悲福)주심이 작동한다면
만사(萬事) OK! 이니 말이다

오늘따라 
E.M. 바운즈의 저서 Power Through Prayer (1910년대 초 출간)에 언급(言及)되었던
“When man works, man works; but when man prays, God works.”
“사람이 일하면 사람이 일할 뿐이지만, 사람이 기도하면 하나님이 일하신다.” 라는 표현
내 생각의 수면에 떠오름을 느낀다
기독인이 기독인 다움을 회복한다면
그 자체(自體)가 애국애족애세(愛國愛族愛世)인 것을 나를 비롯한 우리들이 깨달았으면 좋겠다
