"O Holy Night"(프랑스어 "Cantique de Noel;크리스마스 캐롤")는

1843년에 프랑스의 와인 상인이자 시인이었던 'Placide Cappeau'플라시드 카푸(1808~1877)가 지은 시

"Minuit, Chretiens (Midnight, Christians)"에

1847년에 프랑스의 음악가 'Adolphe Charles Adam(아돌프 샤를 아당 1803-1856 )' 이 곡을 붙인 크리스마스 캐롤이다..

'Placide Cappeau'는 어느 교구의 신부로부터 크리스마스에 관한 시를 요청을 받아 이 시를 지었다고 전한다.

크리스마스는 다가오는데 예년과 같지 않게 썰렁하기만 합니다.
바로 코로나 때문입니다. 1일 확진자가 7천명을 넘나들고 있으니.....
말 하면 무얼할까? 우리카페의 대문에 찍혀 나온 사진만 봐도 마스크를 안 한체 저렇게 돌아다니고 있으니.....
모두가 모심들하고 자제들 해야 하는데, 아직도 정신들을 덜 차린 모양 같아서 좀 안타깝습니다.
