Songs of ascents to the temple

Beginning with Psalm 120, there are several titles that refer to songs of ascents to the temple.

Those who go up to the temple go up with a purpose as to why they go there.

It is a sacrifice to God. 

It is also a tabernacle of congregation where they meet God through sacrifice.

They entered through the gate of the temple, slaughtered an animal, cut it into pieces, and burned it in exchange for their sins at the altar of burnt offering. Then they washed at the laver, entered the sanctuary, ate the bread of the Showbread visible by the light of the golden lampstand, burned incense on the altar of incense, and entered the Most Holy Place through the veil. Go in and stand before the throne of grace.

Naturally, there are no beds or chairs in the sanctuary. This is because priests must always work standing up.

They saw the glory of God shining on the mercy seat above the ark of the covenant, the throne of grace, and believed that the Messiah, Christ, would come to them one day, raise them from the dead, and eat the bread of life, thereby fulfilling the law and coming to love God and love their neighbors as themselves.

The priest is a sacrificial technician who has the knowledge of the functions and roles of the temple as clearly as the palm of his hand.

The problem is that there are priests who are only in name, like Eli.

However, God was present only in Moses' tabernacle and Solomon's temple, and the glory of God did not come to Zerubbabel's temple and Herod's temple, so they were Ichabod.

However, to those who have spiritual eyes that see the substance through shadows, it is still song of ascents to the temple.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to this earth as the Word became flesh, died on the cross, and rose again, completely settling our debt of sin and death in Adam, redeeming us from sin and death, transferring us into Christ, giving us wisdom and prudence to hear and believe the gospel, and sealing us with the Holy Spirit.

Now, as those who died and lived again in Christ, we have been justified, and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we have come to know the riches of the inheritance of the saints, and the exceeding greatness of the power of the Lord Jesus Christ who died and rose again, and  with the Spirit of revelation, through Jesus Christ who came in us,  we have come to know that the way to the throne and the ladder of truth and life have been established in our hearts.

We have the high priest according to the order of Melchizedek, as seen by the prophets of the Old Testament.

Now our bodies have become temples where the Holy Spirit dwells, and we sing the songs that Israel sang when they went up to the temple, anytime, anywhere.

We have truly become mobile temples.

Therefore, we become filled with Christ, the Word who dwells in us, and we become filled with the knowledge of the truth that allows us to understand the grace that God has given us and to go to God according to that grace.

Through this, we become filled with the Lord who is full.

It becomes a small river connected to Christ, the river of living water.

Therefore, we must always have a heart that forms a transaction of repentance, by selling ourselves and buying Christ according to the grace of the redemption of the cross of Christ.

Only then will the Holy Spirit work within us.

We must not claim that signs or gifts that appear outside are the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is to be immersed in the Holy Spirit and become one with Christ.

As the Holy Spirit works within us, our unity with the Lord becomes complete, and we become like a temple.

The Holy Spirit makes us know the truth, and through the truth we are sanctified and go to the glory of God.

We sing the song that Israel sang as they went up to the temple and worship and praise God.

Therefore, if the Holy Spirit of truth is not in him, he belongs to the world, belongs to the flesh, and is an enemy of the cross of Christ.

He only seeks things on earth.

He cannot seek the things above that those who died and were raised can seek, the things that God has kept in heaven.

Therefore,  he who belongs to the flesh say that coming to the church is coming to the altar of the Lord.

Therefore, we must go to the level where we can have the practical experience of the Spirit and life of the Lord becoming power through true repentance, denying ourselves and bearing our own cross through the cross of Christ.

God is a spirit, so He gives us the word.

Through the word, the Holy Spirit makes us know the truth, and we learn the great transaction of changing our lives into the life of the Lord according to the grace of the redemption of the cross of Christ.

Such Christians can sing the song that Israel sang as they went up to the temple.
