世襲(세습)은 존엄한 전통을 계승하여 文武(문무)의 재능을 품고 

  Hereditary Succession(世襲,세습) means inheriting a solemn tradition and possessing talents

  in both literary and military arts(文武,문무) ;

장군과 재상의 임무를 부여 받아 공적이 한세상을 덮어 그 이름이 천추를 진동 시키는 것이다.

  Being entrusted with the duties of general and prime minister, such that one′s achievements

  overshadow the era, And causing one′s name to resound throughout all eternity.

世襲者는 爲嗣尊統하여 (세습자는 위사존통하여)

  One who practices Hereditary Succession(世襲者 ,세습자) inherits and carries on a sacred

   and solemn tradition(尊統, 존통),

懷文武之才하고 受將相之任하여 (회문무지재하고 수장상지임하여)

  Harboring talents in both civil scholar and military arts(文武之才,문무지재),

  and receiving the duties of general and minister(將相之任,장상지임),

功蓋一世하고 名振千秋니라. (공개일세하고 명진천추니라.)

  Their achievements overshadow the entire era(功蓋一世, 공개일세),

  and their fame resounds through a thousand autumns(all egernity) (名振千秋, 명진천추).

 [Explanation, 풀이]

제 329事(사)의 존엄한 전통이라 하는 것은 한인할아버지, 한웅할아버지, 왕검할아버지께서
在世理化(재세이화)와 弘益人間(홍익인간)을 이룩하신 존엄한 전통이다.

  The  "solemn tradition" referred to in Article 329 is the sacred legacy through which Grandfather Hwanin,

  Grandfather Hwanung, and Grandfather Dangun Wanggeom accomplished

  JaeseYihwa(在世理化,재세이화 - governing the world through truth and reason)

  and Hongik lngan(弘益人間,홍익인간 - broadly benefiting all humanity).

이 존엄한 전통이 이어질 때 우리 배달민족은 그 뜻을 천하에 두고 그 약동하는 기상을 마음껏 펼칠 수 있었다.
  When this solemn tradition was maintained, our Baedal people(Korean nation) set their sights

  upon the whole world and fully unfolded their vibrant spirit.

그리고 이 존엄한 전통이 사라지면서 우리 배달민족은 이상향을 잃은 恨(한)의 민족이 되었다.

  However, as this sacred tradition faded away, our Baedal people become a nation 

  burdende by Han(恨,한 - deep sorrow and longing), having lost their ideal haven.

이제 천년이 넘도록 우리 심장 속에서 혈관 속에서 꿈틀 되기 만하며 사장되었던 약동하던 기상이
다시 그 날개를 펼 수 있음이 아닌가 한다.

  Now, after more than a thousand years, l beileve that this dynamic spirit―which has lain buried,

  merely writhing within our hearts and veins― can finally spread its wings once more.
