Bible Reading - Hebrews 10:29~39

10:29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

하물며 하나님의 아들을 짓밟고, 자신을 거룩하게 한 언약의 피를 더럽게 여기고, 은혜의 성령을 모욕한 사람이 마땅히 받아야 할 형벌은 얼마나 더 심하(무겁)겠느냐?

10:30 For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," 

우리는 "복수는 나의 것이므로 내가 갚을 것이다."라고 말씀하셨던 그를 우리는 알고

and again, "The Lord will judge his people."

또 다시 "주님께서 그의 백성들을 심판하실 것이다."라고 하셨다.

10:31 It is a dreadful thing(끔찍한 일) to fall into the hands of the living God.

살아계신 하나님의 손에 떨어지는 것은 끔직한 것이다. 

10:32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.

당신이 고통 속에서도 위대한 경쟁에서 굳건히 섰을 때, 빛을 받은 후의 그 이전 날들을 기억하라.

10:33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution;

때로는 공개적으로 모욕과 박해를 받기도 했고

at other times you stood side by side(나란히) with those who were so treated.

어떤 때는 그런 대우를 받는 사람들과 나란히 서 있기도 했다.

10:34 You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation(몰수) of your property,

너희들은 감옥에 있는 사람들을 동정하였고 너희들의 재산이 몰수되는 것을 기쁘게 받아들였다.

because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

왜냐하면 너희 자신이 더 좋고 오래 지속되는 소유를 가지고 있다는 것을 알았기 때문이다.

10:35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

그래서 너희의 확신을 버리지 말라, 그러면 풍성한 상급을 얻게 될 것이다. 

10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God,  you will receive what he has promised.

너희가 하나님의 뜻을 행하였을 때에 그가 약속하셨던 것을 받기 위해 인내하는 것이 필요하다.

10:37 For in just a very little while(아주 잠깐 동안), "He who is coming will come and will not delay.

아주 잠깐 동안, 오시는 분이 오실 것이요, 지체하지 아니하실 것이다.

10:38 But my righteous one will live by faith. 그러나 나의 의로운 자는 믿음으로 살 것이다.

And if he shrinks(수축하다. 움츠러들다) back, 그리고 그가 뒤로 물러선다면,

I will not be pleased with him." 나는 그를 기뻐하지 않을 것이다. 

10:39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed,

그러나 우리는 뒤로 물러나 멸망하는 자가 아니요,

but of those who believe and are saved. 믿고 구원받는 자들이다.
