Plot – At the end of World War II, a man seriously wounded is cured by a French-Canadian nurse, called Hana, in a monastery in Tuscany. The patient doesn’t remember anything about himself and his past. Soon after, a Canadian man called Caravaggio arrives in the monastery with his hands half-covered. During the war he was in North Africa, where he got injured. Suddenly, the patient remembers about his past: he is an Hungarian count called Laszlo. He tells his love story with the beautiful Katherine: they both where in the Royal Geographic Society, they fell in love despite she was married, but then the war began and the two divided, so Katherine died alone in the desert, while Laszlo was irremediably wounded. Hana tries to cure him, but the patient asks her to help him dying. From that tragic event, Hana collects the strength to go on and start a new life.
