We're looking for someone with FOH + barista skills and a friendly, upbeat personality — toward customers and the team.</p><p> </p><p>⚠️ English requirement — please read</p><p>Our shop runs in English only, and it gets VERY fast. You must be able to take and process orders in English without errors, and communicate with customers and teammates clearly and efficiently at full speed. If communicating in English under pressure isn't your strength, this role isn't for you.</p><p> </p><p>Duties</p><p>- Taking orders in an English-only environment + handling payments</p><p>- Packaging pastries efficiently and beautifully</p><p>- Making espresso-based drinks (semi-auto machine experience required)</p><p>- Keeping the work/display area clean, jumping in wherever needed</p><p>- Staying sharp even when it's quiet</p><p> </p><p>Requirements</p><p>- Barista experience with semi-auto espresso machine</p><p>- Fast, fluent English communication — with customers and the team</p><p>- Weekend availability</p><p>- Friendly under pressure — kind to staff and customers alike</p><p> </p><p>💰 Pay & Perks</p><p>- $19.50–$21/hr + share of tip pool (up to 15% above typical postings)</p><p>- Daily food + beverage allowance during your shift</p><p>- Staff discounts</p><p>- Tue–Sat fixed 4–5 hr shifts from 8:30am, possibly leading to full-time</p><p>- 2 min from Yaletown SkyTrain station</p><p> </p><p>📸 Check out @bakeforynine on Instagram to see what we're about!</p><p> </p><p>📨 Apply: email your resume to bake49brands@gmail.com or drop by the store between 2–3pm.</p>
