Bible Reading - Hebrews 12:1~10

12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, 

그러므로 우리는 그와 같은 증인들의 큰 구름에 의해 둘러싸여 있기 때문에 

let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles(얽히게 하다), 

우리는 우리를 가로막는 모든 것과 쉽게 얽매이는 죄를 벗어버리고

and let us run with perseverance the race marked out(표시되어진) for us.

그리고 우리는 인내심을 가지고 우리에게 주어진(정해진) 경주를 달려가자.

12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame(수치를 개의치 않으므로), and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

믿음의 주요 또 온전케 하시는 이인 예수를 바라보자. 그는 자기 앞에 놓인 기쁨을 위하여 십자가를 참으시고 수치를  개의치 않으시고 하나님 보좌 우편에 앉으셨다.

12:3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, 

죄 많은 사람들로부터 그러한 반대를 참아내신 그분을 생각해 보라.

so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 그러면 여러분은 지치지 않고 낙심하지 않을 것입니다.

12:4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

너희들은 죄에 맞서 싸우다가 아직 피를 흘리기까지 저항하지는 않았다.

12:5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: 

너희는 아들들로서 너희에게 전하는 그 격려의 말씀을 잊었다.

"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,

내 아들아, 주님의 징계를 가볍게 만들지 말고

and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 그가 너희를 꾸짖을 때 낙심하지 말라.

12:6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,

왜냐하면 주님께서 그가 사랑하시는 자들을 훈육하시고

and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."

그가 아들로서 받아들이는 모든 자들을 징계하신다. 

12:7 Endure hardship as discipline; 고난을 훈육으로 견디어라.

God is treating you as sons. 하나님은 너희를 아들로서 대우하시고 계신다. 

For what son is not disciplined by his father?

어느 아들이 아버지로부터 징계를 받지 않겠느냐?

12:8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), 

만일 네가 징계를 받지 않는다면(그리고 모든 사람들은 훈육을 받는다.)

then you are illegitimate children(사생아들) and not true sons.

그러면 너희는 사생아들이고 참 아들이 아니다.

12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it.

게다가 우리 모두는 우리를 징계하시는 인간 아버지를 갖고 있었고, 우리는 그들을 존경했다.

How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!

얼마나 더욱더 우리는 우리의 영의 아버지께 복종하여 살아야만 할까?

12:10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; 

우리 조상들은 잠시 동안 자기들이 좋다고 생각하는 대로 우리를 징계하였다.

but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.

그러나 하나님께서 우리의 유익을 위하여 우리를 징계하시니, 이는 우리가 그의 거룩함에 참여하게 하려 함이라.
