<div><div>명상과 글쓰기는 </div><div>드러누워있는 영혼을 일으키는 행위다.</div><div> </div><div>삶에 지쳐 때로는 아무런 이유도 없이</div><div>나의 영혼이 아무 곳에나 드러누워버릴 때</div><div> </div><div>지쳐있거나 앙탈을 부리는 영혼의 어깨를 </div><div>조용히 두드려 일깨워주는 것은</div><div>명상과 글쓰기다.</div><div> </div><div>그것들로 인해 나의 삶은 </div><div>잠깐 동안 이탈했던 본궤도로 다시 진입한다.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Meditation and writing wake my soul lying flat on the ground.</div><div> </div><div>When my soul, tired of life or for no reason, falls to any ground,</div><div>my writing and meditation quietly tap the shoulder of my soul</div><div>that either whines about or gets tired of life.</div><div> </div><div>Thanks to them, my life gets back on its original track </div><div>that it has deviated awhile.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div></div><div>2. 자책의 유용성</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>그대자신을 제외한 어느누구도</div><div>비난하지 말라.</div><div> </div><div>비난은 적을 만들고</div><div>남들로부터 그대를 고립시킨다.</div><div> </div><div>그러나 그대자신만을 비난하면 </div><div>그 자책으로 인해</div><div>발전의 계기를 마련할 수 있다.</div><div> </div><div>Don't criticize anyone other than yourself.</div><div>Ciriticize others and you will be alienated from them.</div><div> </div><div>However, if you criticize only yourself,</div><div>you will have the chance to better yourself.</div><div> </div><div>하는 일이 잘못됐을 때</div><div>자기자신을 책망하느냐</div><div>아니면 남들을 책망하느냐는 </div><div>별차이가 없어보이지만</div><div>반복되면 하늘과 땅 만큼의 차이가 난다.</div><div> </div><div>남들을 비난하는 걸 계속하는 사람은</div><div>사회로부터 고립돼 실패의 길을 걷고</div><div>자기자신만을 탓하는 사람은 </div><div>발전을 거듭해 성공의 길을 걷게된다.</div><div> </div><div>When things go wrong, </div><div>little difference seems to exist between</div><div>criticizing yourself and criticizing others</div><div>but if criticizing is repeated,</div><div>it makes a huge differecne </div><div>like the one between the sky and earth.</div><div> </div><div>He who keeps criticizing others willl walk the way to failure</div><div>after being alienated from the society,</div><div>while he who blames only himself</div><div>will walk the way to success by repeating development.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>3, 삶과 죽음</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>죽음은 삶의 고통을 영원히 면제받는 것이다.</div><div>그러나 삶에는 고통만 있는 게 아니고 </div><div>즐거움도 있다.</div><div> </div><div>찬 물에 국수를 말아 단숨에 들이켰을 때의</div><div>정갈한 맛이 영원히 계속되는 것이 죽음이고</div><div> </div><div>짬뽕을 먹을 때 때로는 뜨겁고 맵고 때로는 달기도하고 </div><div>때로는 쓰기도한 여러가지 잡다한 맛을 주는 것이 삶이다.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Death forever exempts us from pain.</div><div>However, life gives us joy, too.</div><div> </div><div>Death is of the clean taste you have forever</div><div>when you gulp down the noodle mixed with cold water;</div><div> </div><div>Life is of the various taste you have when you eat Seafood Ramen</div><div>which is sometimes hot, spicy, sweet or bitter.</div> <div>  </div><div><table class="clearTable"><tbody><tr><td> </td></tr></tbody></table></div><div>  4.  사람의 의지</div> <div>사람의 의지만으로 이루어 지는 것은아무 것도 없다 Human will alone does not achieve anything. 하지만 인간의 의지 없이는어떤 위대한 것도 이루어 지지 않는다. However, without human will,nothing great can be achieved. 뜻이 있는 곳에 길이있다.강철같은 의지만 있다면의지를 실현할 길이 살다보면 반드시 나타난다. Where there is a will, there is a way.Only if you have a steely will,you will surely find a way to materialize it in the course of your life. 어떤 역경도 이겨낼 의지를 갖고그 의지를 실현할 모든 기회을 최대한 활용한다면 언젠가는 꿈에서나 실현될 것 같았던 의지가 금자탑이 되어 그대 앞에 우뚝 서 있을 것이다. If you have the will to overcome all kinds of adversityand make most use of every opportunity to materialize it,you will find one day the will you thought possibe only in a dreamhas turned into a monumental landmark standing tall before you. </div> 5. 귀가 <div>살 날이 살아버린 날보다 턱없이 부족해질 때까지긴 세월 살아왔건만 나는 아직도 천지를 분간하지 못하는우물 안 개구리. I have lived so many yearsas to have much less days to livethan the days already lived. And yet I am a babe in the woodsunable to tell heaven from earth.  순전히 운 때문에 이룬 것을나의 업적인양 자랑했고 한치 앞도 못 내다 보면서먼 장래를 내다 보는 양 했네. I bragged about my achievementwhich was nothing but sheer luckand pretended to see far ahead into futureeven though I failed to see an inch ahead. 쉼없이 줄타기를 시도했자만줄에서 떨어지는 게 다반사 I constantly tried to walk a tightropebut fell from rope like an everyday affair. 뒤늦게 나의 교만을 깨달으니뼈저린 후회가 가슴을 천근만근 누르네. Realizing my arrogance belatedly,bitter regret weighs on my heartlike tons of iron. 살 같이 지나가는 하루의 끝자락을 잡고터벅터벅 걸어가는쓸쓸한 귀가(歸嫁)Holing the end of the day flying like an arrow,I solitarily return home, plodding along.<div class="autosourcing-stub-extra" style="-ms-zoom: 1; } table { background-color: transparent; } td { background-color: transparent; } </style> </div>   <table class="clearTable"><tbody><tr><td> </td></tr></tbody></table>  6. 사람의 일생 <div>사람의 일생은세상일을 어떻게 이해하고세상일에 어떻게 적응하고세상일을 어떻게 활용하느냐에 달려 있습니다. Man's life depends on how he understands worldly things,how he adapts himself to them,and how he exploits them. 사람이 세상일을 정확하게 이해하고세상일에 잘 적응하고세상일을 자신에게 유리하게효과적으로 활용하면 번창합니다. He prospers if he accurately understands worldly things,properly adapts himself to themand effectively exploits them to his advantage. 그러나 그랗게 하지 못하면인생자체를 비관하면서 자기자신을 제외한모든 사람을 탓하며 눈물로 생을 마감합니다. However, if he fails to do so,he takes a pessimistic view of life itselfand blames everyone except himselfuntil he ends his life in tears. 두눈을 부릅뜨고 자연현상과 사회현상을 눈여겨 보아요.그 속에 그대가 살아날 길이 있습니다. Keep your eyes open to both natural and social phenomenon,in which there is a way to your survival. 그것들을 장확하게 이해하고그것들에 잘 적응하고그것들을 그대에게 유리하게효과적으로 활용한다면그대는 번창할 수 밖에 없습니다. If you accurately understand properly adapt yourself to them to effectively exploit them to your advantage,you will surely prosper. 만일 그렇게 하지 못한다면그대는 자손들로부터유능한 어버이로 기억되지 않을 것임은 물론그대 삶에 많은 후회를 남기고 생을 마칠 것입니다. If you fail to do so,you won't be remembered as an able parent by your childrenand close your eyes regretting much about your life.<div class="post_footer_contents"><div class="wrap_tag"><div class="_param(true|false|2)" id="tagList_220332127615" style="display: none; } table { background-color: transparent; } td { background-color: transparent; } </style> </div></div> 7. 세상일 그대가 옳다고 확신할 때도 틀릴 수 있습니다. Even when you are sure you are right,you can be wrong. 그대가 틀리다고 확신할 때도옳을 수 있습니다. Even when you are sure you are wrong,you can be right. 그대의 느낌, 의견이나 판단으로세상일이 어떻게 전개될지 예측할 수 있다고 생각하거나 기대하지 마십시요. Don't think or expect that your feelings, opinion or judgement will help you predict the future things. 세상일은 제 갈길을 가는 것입니다.그대가 천성적으로 현명한 사람이거나죽기살기로 그대자신을 훈련시켜 현명해지거나아니면 세상일이 어떻게 전개될지를 예측하는데그대의 일생을 바치지 않는 한 세상일이 어떻게 될지는 절대로 예측할 수 없습니다. Worldy things will go their way.There is no predicting it,unless you are born a wise man,or devotedly train yourself to be wise, or spend your entire life predicting it. 그러므로 세상일은 제 가고자하는대로 가도록 내버려두고나중에 적응하기 의해 최선을 다하면 됩니다.세상일을 예측했다가 틀렸을 때 입는 손해가 너무 크기 때문입니다. So, let things go their wayand do your best to adapt yourself to it later on,for the loss you suffer when you wrongly predict it is too much.   8. 사는 이유 <div>숨이 계속 쉬어지는 한 </div><div>살아야한다.</div><div> </div><div>살되 잘 살아야한다 잘 사는 삶이란 무엇인기</div><div> </div><div>그것은 옳은 것을 찾아내</div><div>실천하는 것이다.</div><div> </div><div>As long as we keep breathing,</div><div>we should stay alive.</div><div> </div><div>As we live, we should live well.</div><div>What is a well-lived life, then?</div><div> </div><div>우리에게 여러날들이 주어진다는 것은 </div><div>여러날들에 걸쳐 옳은 것을 찾아내</div><div>여러날들에 걸쳐 실천하라는 뜻이다.</div><div> </div><div>하루가 24시간 1년이 365일 </div><div>똑같은 날들과 해가 정확하게 반복되는 것은</div><div> </div><div>우리도 그것들과 같이 정확하게 오랜 세월에 걸쳐</div><div>무리함이 없이 옳은 것을 실천하라는 뜻이다.</div><div> </div><div>The fact that many days are given to us means </div><div>that we must find and practise the right thing for many days.</div><div> </div><div>The fact that a day of 24 hours and a year of 365 days</div><div>accurately and permanently repeat themselves means</div><div>that we must reasonably practise the right thing over a long time.</div><div> </div><div>먹구름 끼고 천둥번개친 후에도 </div><div>항상 태양이 빛나는 것은</div><div> </div><div>옳은 것을 실천하면 어떠한 역경도 이겨내고 </div><div>광명의 날을 다시 맞이한다는 것을 뜻한다.</div><div> </div><div>그렇다면 옳은 것이란 무엇인가</div><div>그것은 자신과 사회가 오랜 세월에 걸쳐</div><div>함께 행복하고 번창하는 길을 가는 것을 말한다.</div><div> </div><div>The fact that the bright sun always shines</div><div>after the inky cloud and lightning and thunder means</div><div>that we will always meet a bright new day after every adversity.</div><div> </div><div>Then what is the right thing?</div><div>It means for us to take the way to happiness</div><div>making us prosper togher with the society over a long time.</div><div></div>   <table 더 쉽게 </div><div>삶을 개선할 기회를 잡는다.</div><div> </div><div>Man's life is much influenced by the environment he is born in,</div><div>but it will vary much with his behavior.</div><div> </div><div>If he behaves well for a long time,</div><div>he seizes the chance to better his life more easily than others.</div><div> </div><div>사람은 자신의 불우한 처지가</div><div>그의 삶을 개선하는데 </div><div>장애가 되도록 내버려두면 안된디.</div><div> </div><div>사람의 가장 숭고한 행위는</div><div>불우한 처지를 비관하지 않고</div><div>자신의 삶을 개선하기 위해 기울이는</div><div>노력이기 때문이다.</div><div> </div><div>Man should not let his adverse circumstances hamper his effort for a better life;</div><div>The most sublime human behavior is the effort to better one's life</div><div>without any pessimistic thought about one's adverse circumstances.</div>   <table point. 이렇게 길어진 우리 인생에서우리가 옳은 일을 하면 우리 손으로 왕국을 건설할 수도 있고 우리가 잘못하면 노숙자가 돼가혹한 운명을 탓할 수도 있죠. 모든 것은 우리 하기 달렸죠. In a life that has lengthened like this,we can build a kingdom with our handonly if we do right,or be a homeless blaming our cruel fateif we do wrong.Everything depends on our deed. 우리가 옳은 일을 하면 불행은 썰물처럼 빠져나가고행복이 밀물처럼 밀려 오지만 Only if we do right,unhappiness recedes like an ebband happiness surges like a tide. 우리가 잘못하면행복은 썰물처럼 빠져나가고불행이 밀물처럼 몰려옵니다. If we do wrong, however, happiness recedes like an ebband unhappiness surges like a tide. 최악의 경우에는 죽는 날까지 고난의 삶을 살 수도 있습니다. In the worst case, we might have to livea troubled life until the end of our life. 그렇다면 옳은 일은 무엇이고잘못하는 것은 무엇일까요? Then, what is doing rightand what is doing wrong? 잘하는 것은 그대부터 시작해 그대 가족과 세상사람들까지행복하게 해 주는 것입니다. Doing right means to make everyone happy starting from yourselfto your family and finally to the world. 잘못하는 것은 그대부터 시작해그대 가족과 세상사람들까지불행하게 하는 것입니다. Doing wrong means to makeeveryone unhappy starting from yourselfto your family and finally to the world. 상쾌한 아침, 밝은 웃음 띠고우리의 왕국을 건설하기 위해힘차게 하루를 시작합시다. In the fresh of the morning,let's smile brightly, and start a day spiritedly to build our kingdom.  11. 자살이란? <div>남의 생명대신 자신의 생명을 빼앗는 자살도 살인행위입니다. To take one's own life instead of other's is also an act of murder. 모진 고난을 견디며 지금까지 살아온 삶을 제로로 만드는 행위입니다. It is an act of bringing the life to naughtthat has endured all harsh troubles all along. 세상이 이미 얼마나 아름다운지얼마나 더 아름다워 질 수 있는지 전혀 모르고 저지르는 행위입니다. It is committed by someonewho doesn't know at allhow beautiful the world already isand how more beautiful it can be. 삶이 얼마나 소중한 것인지얼마나 살만한 가치가 있는지당장 당면한 고난만 극복하면얼마나 밝은 미래가 펼쳐질지전혀 고려하지 않은 행위입니다. It is committed by someonewho has not considered at allhow worthwhile it is to live and how bright a future he can enjoy,only if he overcomes the present trouble. 가까운 산에만 올라가도조금전까지 추해 보였던 세상이 아름답게 보입니다. If you climb a nearby mountain,the world that looked ugly moments agolooks beautiful. 지금 당면한 고난이 아무리 힘겨워 보여도긴 세월 지나 돌이켜 보면 지나가는 한줄기 차가운바람이었음을 깨달을 것입니다. No matter how tough the present trouble may be,you will realize it was a mere whiff of cold wind passing bywhen you reminisce about it in the distant future. 머지 않아 옛말 하면서가족들과 오손도손 행복하게 살 수 있는 기회를  자기 자신에게서 빼앗는 죄를 절대로 범해서는 안될 것입니다. Never commit the crime of taking the chance from yourselfto live happily together with your family in the near chronic societal</div><div>or economic problems.</div><div>Throughout human history, ideology has just brought a disaster to humanity rather </div><div>than peace and prosperity.</div><div> </div><div>The Harmonized Union of East and West that Alexander the Great had envisaged</div><div>ended up costing millions of innocent lives.</div><div> </div><div>The ideology of Pax-Romana that Romans had proclaimed slaughtered their </div><div>numberless enemies at battlefield and put the survivors and their familes </div><div>under the yoke of eternal slavery.</div><div> </div><div>The ideology of French Revolution that had swept over the whole of Europe </div><div>massacred millions of lives in the glorious name of revolution and destruction </div><div>of ancient regime.</div><div> </div><div>The Third Reich that Adolf Hitler had advocated sent millions of people </div><div>to death camp, killing an unprecedented number of people.</div><div> </div><div>The communist ideology that had seemed the most idealistic economic theory</div><div>just proved itself a joke by putting all countries that had adopted it into poverty </div><div>and misery.</div><div> </div><div>Why does ideology always bring a disaster to humanity instead of peace </div><div>and prosperity?</div><div></div><div>It is because ideology, which is often based on quite a simple theory, </div><div>tries to control and regulate the immensely complicated human society </div><div>consisting of countless different facets of human life, without allowing for </div><div>exceptions that can be solved only by widely differing individual solutions. </div><div> </div><div>Practicality based on human nature alone can be the solution to all human</div><div>problems, which will be true of all the new future problems for humanity to face.</div><div>Practicality has repeatedly shown its supremacy over ideology in human history.</div><div> </div><div>This is the rationale behind the claim that the new ideology the effectivess </div><div>of which has never been proven in history, the so-called income-led growth </div><div>economic policy of Korean leftist government is bound to fail and will eventually</div><div>drive the whole nation into poverty and despair.</div><div> </div><div>Indications of economic disaster are being shown in every aspect of national</div><div>economy despite the government's publication of statistics misleading the public,</div><div>which shows its desperate effort to paper over the cracks just with a lip service.</div><div> </div><div>Practicality is like a flowing water, which fits into every form of container; </div><div>so flexble and so comfortable as to be exploited to human advantage.</div><div> </div><div>However, ideology is like a metal armor, which is to be worn regardless of </div><div>whether it fits or not; so rigid and so uncomfortable, hence a great obstacle </div><div>to human activity.</div><div> </div><div>Why does the current leftist Korean government stick to its ideology </div><div>despite that it has already proven its destructive effect on Korean economy?</div><div> </div><div>It is because it had firmly believed its usefulness at the beginning but recently</div><div>it has belatedly found that it had made a mistake. However, it cannot admit to </div><div>its mistake for fear of losing the political power, even though it is well aware </div><div>of the destructive effect of its anachronistic economic policy that suffocates</div><div>the Korean economy.</div><div> </div><div>The government will not admit to its mistake even though the national economy</div><div>is totaly destroyed because it believes it will lose its life-line, the political power,</div><div>if it ever admits to it.<div> </div><div>Even when the national economy reaches its bottom, the government will use </div><div>sophistry producing falsified economic statistics and blaming external factors</div><div>and the opposition party just maintaining the infallibility of its economic policy.</div><div> </div><div>Even at that time, the government will have a substantial percentage of voters</div><div>helping it wield the power to continuously undermine the national economy.</div> </div><div>As long as it keeps its politcal power at the cost of free national economy, </div><div>Korean economy is doomed, expelling competitive businesses to foreign land </div><div>and making labor unions the new ruling class of Korea. </div><div> </div><div>In fact the only way of survival for a business enterprise desiring to conitnue</div><div>to do business competing against foreign competitors is to find a better place </div><div>to do business in other country before it gets too late, because, once labor </div><div>union takes hegemony of the company, it cannot do anything at all for its </div><div>survival in Korea. </div><div> </div> </div><div> </div>
