12:21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear."

그 광경이 너무나 무서워서 "나는 두려움으로 떨린다." 라고 모세가 말하였다.

12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. 

그러나 너희는 시온산, 곧 하늘의 예루살렘, 곧 살아 계신 하나님의 도성에 이르렀다.

You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,
12:23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.

너희들은 기쁨에 찬 수천 수만의 천사들과, 하늘에 이름이 기록된 맏아들의 교회에 왔다.

You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect,
12:24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
여러분은 모든 사람의 심판자이신 하나님께, 온전케 된 의인의 영들에게, 새 언약의 중보자이신 예수께, 아벨의 피보다 더 나은 말씀을 전하는 뿌려진 피에게로 나아왔다.

12:25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. 

If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, 

만일 그들이 땅위에서 그들에게 경고하셨던 그를 거절했을 때 피하지 못했었다면

how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?
하물며 하늘에서 우리에게 경고하시는 분을 등진다면 우리가 얼마나 더 하겠는가?

12:26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens."

그때에 그의 음성이 땅을 흔들었으나 이제 그는 "다시 한번 나는 땅 뿐만 아니라 하늘도 흔들 것이다."라고 약속하셨다.

12:27 The words "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken--that is, created things--

"한 번 더"라는 말은 흔들릴 수 있는 것, 즉 창조된 것들을 제거한다는 것을 가리킨다.

so that what cannot be shaken may remain.그래서 흔들리지 않는 것은 그대로 남게 되는 것이다.

12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, 

그러므로 우리가 흔들릴 수 없는 나라를 받아들이고 있기 때문에 

let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,
우리는 감사하는 마음으로 하나님을 기쁘시게 섬기며 경건함과 두려움으로 예배하자.

12:29 for our "God is a consuming fire." 우리의 하나님은 소멸하는 불이시기 때문이다.
