(단3:19-23)
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual  20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.  21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace.  22 The king's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,  23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.  

느브갓네살의 화(化)가 극(極)에 달(達)했다
하여 평소보다 7배(倍)나 더 뜨겁게 만든 풀무
그곳에 사드락 메삭 아벧느고는 던져졌다

얼마나 뜨거웠는가는 
그 세사람을 묶던 군사가 타버릴 정도 였으니...
하나님은 그 뜨거움을 부각 시키시면서 그 세사람의 믿음과 결단의 확고함의 정도가 어떠함에 대한 메시지를 오늘 내게 주심을 본다

다윗-다니엘-에스더-사드락-메삭-아벧느고...
호흡이 끊어질 때까지 신앙을 포기하지 않았던 
약 70만명이나 된다하는 순교자들을 생각한다

아껴도
가만 있어도
결국 히9:27의 신세를 면(免)할 수 없는 인생

그럼에도 불구하고 
조금이라도 이 땅에서의 삶을 연장하고 싶어 하는 인간의 기본심리
그래서 두려워하는 죽음...

나 역시 
대부분의 인생들과 별반 다를 바 없는 존재이지만
때가 되면 그 미련 없게 해 달라고 성령의 도우심을 늘 구하고 있다

오늘도 눈을 뜨게 하신 하나님
오늘도 여주동행(旅主同行)
주님께 영광을 돌리는 하루 되기를 소원하면서 20060812의 문을 연다
